  1. I don't expect to change (not everyone is meant to be a pet-owner/ parent), but it is evident how much you all love your pets!!
  2. My family never had a cat or dog my entire life. And after the last few pages..... whew. I know I'm pretty much a city girl, but YUCK and OMG.
  3. I have had the Blue Chair Banana Rum (don't like the cream version). There is a Blue Chair drink called High Tide with the banana rum, pineapple juice, and Sprite. I first had it at a Kenny Chesney concert. I also had it at a bar on St. John (where Kenny owns a home). Although I made it a few times at home, I am more of a cabernet drinker. 🍷 My husband and I are definitely both not neutral on the topic of Kenny Chesney and his concerts. Have been to at least 15 of his concerts. It is what you might call beach/island country music.🌴 Dani, feel better soon.
  4. We were back on a Long Island, NY beach today. Smith Point Park. We had not been to this particular beach before. Our younger son and his wife were planning to drive us on the beach in their jeep, but alas that part of the beach was closed today (we think ongoing for some weeks to protect nesting wildlife). Anyway we were forced to walk and carry our stuff (horrors) to a different part of the beach. This son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first baby at the end of October. ❤️
  5. I was actually in a movie theater today for the first time in many years and saw the new Elvis movie. We enjoyed it.
  6. Our local reservoir looking pretty again this evening.... my husband keeps rolling his eyes as I have him pull over to take another photo.....
  7. One of our sons fractured his wrist also ... snowboarding. He was about 18 or 19. He did recover fairly quickly. I hope the same for Owen.
  8. That's funny. I will have to ask my son about that..... he told me jeep owners have a special wave they give each other.
  9. Yes, you can do Chops twice. It does not need to be nights 1 and 2. I think we did Chops first and sixth night. It was also less expensive for us than the price above, but it was a few months ago.
  10. Currently a nice, warm evening in New Jersey. A few days ago we attended a country concert at PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ with Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town. Fun.
  11. This is all interesting. My Dad (now deceased, retired NYPD detective at the time), had a condo in Florida and a co-op apt. in NY. He went to a lot of spring training baseball games in Florida. Some mom was horrified because her kids gut mustard on my Dad's clothes during a game. My Dad said "Don't worry. I have six children." Stuff happens, accidental or not. The singing in the elevator thing sounds funny to me. Some things in life are not really that important, unless something truly inappropriate and wrong being done. 😉
  12. Me too.... and they are quite sturdy.
  13. Yes, we have one of those and a marguerita type one as well. Treasures. 😉 I am sure we are not the only ones....
  14. My husband likes mai tais also. I thought you would get a kick out of this. We have a Royal drink booklet from I don't how many years ago. Check the price (and not the ingredients you prefer).
  15. I think mine is the same as yours. I really don't care about the 3rd rack (I just use it for large utensils), however I need to use Express Wash and Extended Heat Dry settings ..... so it does not take 5 hours to wash/dry. Crazy.
  16. We were back at the beach on Long Island, NY today. Sunny, but quite cool with a very strong wind coming off the ocean. Small crowd given a Tuesday in early June.
  17. We have had no problem with showing up randomly time-wise for MTD, but we don't go earlier than 6:30PM. Never wait more than a few minutes. Last few cruises were on Anthem. We do a combo of MDR, specialty, WJ.
  18. Hi all, we were supposed to be on Adventure of the Seas today to Bermuda. A simple 5 night cruise that we booked pretty much last-minute. Due to a tropical storm, we learned yesterday the cruise would go to Canada instead. We love Canada, but were looking for a warm/beach vacation, so we are taking the FCC/refund. Crazy. Anyway, today we went to Jones Beach on Long Island, New York. At first it was sunny, then the fog rolled in for a couple hours, then it totally cleared up. Meanwhile, I continued to get notifications from the Royal app to report to muster, etc. 😉🙂
  19. ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest, We’ve been closely monitoring the developing weather with our Chief Meteorologist, James van Fleet, for your Adventure of the Seas sailing that departs tomorrow, June 4th, 2022. Regretfully, the inclement weather will not allow us to maintain a safe and comfortable journey to Bermuda. Instead, we’ll make our way to Canada! We did everything possible to maintain our original itinerary and while not the destination planned, we know you’ll still have a great time with us. Below is our new itinerary. DATE PORT Arrival Departure 4-Jun-22 Cape Liberty, New Jersey 3:00 PM 5-Jun-22 At Sea 6-Jun-22 Halifax, Nova Scotia 8:30 AM 5:00 PM 7-Jun-22 Saint John, New Brunswick 10:00 AM 6:00 PM 8-Jun-22 At Sea 9-Jun-22 Cape Liberty, New Jersey 7:00 AM We ask that you please pack some light sweaters and clothing for cooler temperatures – the weather for Canada is predicted to be around a crisp 60 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. In Halifax, explore Peggy’s Cove and the Titanic, featuring wonderful vistas along Lighthouse Road. Or discover the towering Citadel, a fortress used as a naval station during the reign of the British Empire. Halifax offers a perfect mix of historic charm, ocean views, and delicious food! Then in Saint John, learn all about its industrial development and maritime history at the New Brunswick Museum. Or, view the world-famous Reversing Rapids, where the Saint John River meets the Bay of Fundy. Both ports offer delicious cuisine, and if seafood is your thing - the lobster rolls are amazing! We are sure you’ll have a great time at these two new Canadian ports! And now some housekeeping... Any Royal Caribbean excursions purchased for Bermuda will be refunded as an onboard credit, that you can use to purchase new excursions or anything onboard. Any unused balance will go back to the card associated with your onboard account. Now that we are going to Canada instead, all guests – including Canadians – will need to complete the mandatory ArriveCAN travel information form prior to arriving at the cruise terminal. Guests can complete the form for free at the ArriveCAN website here or via their app available in the AppStore or on Google Play. This form must be completed before boarding, and we highly recommend completing this at home since Wi-Fi connection in the terminal may not always be reliable. Once complete, print or show the QR code provided at boarding. We look forward to welcoming you onboard, but know that this is not the vacation you planned. If you wish to reschedule or change your sailing, we’re happy to provide you with a Future Cruise Credit. Your Future Cruise credit will be based on any funds paid on your booking. If you already used any Future Cruise Credits, your original certificates will be reinstated. Your taxes, fees, and pre-paid amenities, like shore excursions, beverage packages, etc. – except for insurance will be refunded to your original form of payment. If a little rain and a new journey isn't going to stop you from taking your well-deserved time off, then see you at the pier! If you decide to not join us, please contact your Travel Advisor, call us at 1 (866) 562-7625, or contact your local office by June 4, 2022. We hope to see you onboard tomorrow! Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez AVP of Guest Experience Royal Caribbean International
