  1. Interesting discussion. We love South Beach and have not found it too crowded. By late afternoon we have often had the place to ourselves (photo below). We don't care about the meal or pool, however. Enjoy, whatever you do.
  2. Very interesting. We have been able to park in the garage at Cape Liberty on every cruise we have taken since the garage was built. Timing, I guess.
  3. My mom had beautiful red hair. All her antecedents were from Ireland (she reminded us of this fact as the rest of us - her husband and children - were mixed breed Americans - ha). I had/have strawberry blonde hair and 8 million freckles. I am one of six siblings with various shades of blonde, red, and brown hair ... not to mention some of the six with blue eyes, some with brown eyes, and one with hazel eyes. Life is good.
  4. @jagsfan My parents owned a condo in Pompano Beach and I think it was very close to this restaurant you reference, however that was a long time ago and I'm not sure if the restaurant was there or not. We took a cruise out of Miami in July of this year and stayed in Pompano the night before, but we (thank goodness) ate at Houston's. What an experience you had. Yikes.
  5. We did something very similar in July. We had two consecutive Royal cruises from Florida (got off one and got on another at a different port) same day. This was prior to the most recent testing rule changes but FYI they provided a complimentary test the day before the first cruise ended (as mentioned in one of the posts above). I would ask Guest Services on the first ship if you should get one or not. Hard to understand why it would be necessary unless Royal is considering it a 15 day voyage.
  6. We went to Bermuda on Aug 27 Adventure of the Seas. We took the public ferry to Hamilton and public bus to St. George's. Actually first we got off the bus to see the Crystal Cave and then back on the bus to St. George's. Lunch, beach, etc. at St. George's, then bus back to Hamilton and ferry to cruise port. We have been to Bermuda on cruises a bunch of times and find the ferry/bus system easy and quite reliable. '
  7. I think also sometimes one might get a cabin that someone upgraded or did a "Royal up" from. I think this was the case for us recently as someone else's excursion ticket arrived at our GTY room.
  8. Not a ship excursion, apparently (at least per linked report). Very sad in any case. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-tourist-killed-in-bahamas-shark-attack/ar-AA11xpii
  9. I think a previous poster was referring to the free loungers and umbrellas (vs. daybeds). See right side of photo.
  10. In early June of this year we were supposed to be on your exact cruise. It was changed the day before the cruise due to a storm from the Bermuda itinerary to a Northeast itinerary. We were given the option of a full future cruise credit and we took it. I am just relaying our experience; does not mean yours will be the same. I hope it does not impact you. We just actually did the 5 night Adventure to Bermuda that sailed August 27th and enjoyed it. Happy cruising.
  11. I have not used an iron in very many years. I either don't buy clothes that need ironing or just hang and most wrinkles come out. I am only suggesting that you do not worry about it too much, although I understand if it a concern for you. Enjoy your cruise!! 🛳️ 🙂
  12. It can go either way. Our experience was one excursion we wanted allowed one of us to book but not the other. When we got on board they put the second person on a waiting list but a spot never opened.
  13. We just went to Bermuda on Adventure. The Antigen test is needed within 2 days prior. So if you leave on Saturday, can be done Thursday, Friday, or technically early Saturday. We were able to get it done at a CVS drive-thru (however you are correct it is getting more difficult to get these appointments). On a previous cruise we self-tested using an online proctor and that worked fine. We used Rapid Test and Trace. Enjoy your cruise.
  14. We had a CP balcony on Harmony, deck 11, and enjoyed it. We used the balcony occasionally and did not find noise level bad at all. We were not bothered by passengers being across from us .... did not see that many, frankly.
  15. Maybe it is me, but that sounds like a lot! I run for exercise but I do 5 days a week and take 2 days off for "recovery" ..... I think the days off are very important physically and mentally. Anything done too much stops being fun or rewarding IMHO. Congrats on all your efforts and results!
  16. Just off Adventure. Some crew wearing masks, some not.
  17. I have also seen described as Bailey's Banana Colada. It is a frozen drink and I do not find it as having a coconut taste. Love them.
  18. That never worked for me. Don't know why. Samsung. Recent model. We just waited for the room number to show up in the app.

    Eagle Beach

There is also a bus day pass for $10 USD per person. We did that and did some beach hopping.
  20. Specifically, it is Sept 14 2023, 14 nights.
  21. I think you are referring to the one in September 2023. It does not currently come up in searches so I suspect is sold out or close to sold out.....
