  1. They do have 11-day ones on Anthem from Bayonne NJ in January. They go to such places as Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia..... however the 7 day ones are more frequent and are very repetitive. There is another recent thread on this topic. I think most cruisers that live in this area wish there was more variety.
  2. We had a big family Thanksgiving - this was my husband's side. There were 20 children. Two of them are in high school and all the rest are younger. There were about 18 adults. Quite the scene, but we are used to it. There was turkey, ham, brisket, stuffing, mashed potatoes, carrots, cornbread, salad. Desserts included apple pie, pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, black and white cookies, Linzer cookies, and more. I was (luckily) a guest! Happy Thanksgiving to all. πŸ¦ƒ
  3. Yikes. To me, that stuff tastes purely medicinal. But, I have enjoyed any time I have been in Texas, including multiple stays for the training program in a large corporation I worked for, and subsequent vacation trips.
  4. I was at college/university. I remember it too. They cancelled all classes. We used cafeteria trays as sleds at the New York Botanical Gardens. πŸ™‚πŸ›·β„οΈ
  5. I had surf booked on a future cruise for 16.99/day. I just re-booked surf & stream at 13.99 day. Surf option gone. As you say, interesting.
  6. Congratulations on your newest grandchild!!!! I know I always say this, and I'll always say it...grandchildren are the Best!!!!!!!! How Blessed are you!!! We agree. Amen!
  7. I am blessed to have some happy news. πŸ‘Ό Six days ago our fourth grandchild was born. I can't do names or pics, but this healthy baby is a girl and joins our grandson and other two granddaughters. Their ages are 5y, 3y, 1y, and almost one week πŸ˜‰. This was the first child for our younger son. Best wishes to all of you.
  8. I had to laugh .... this happened to me too after the Cruise Critic problem. In my case, with Wordle and Quordle. I will have to check out Octordle. Thanks!
  9. My experience. Finally was able to sign in again on computer. I use Google Chrome. Multiple attempts and then cleared cache. However, profile pic was gone. I went into my profile and re-loaded it. Still can not sign in on Samsung phone. Seems to be in some type of sign-in "loop" as described by others above.
  10. I got on with my computer after multiple attempts and clearing cache, however my profile pic was gone. I just reloaded it in my profile. However, I can't get to Cruise Critic on my Samsung phone. It is in some type of Login "loop".... There was a message on Cruise Critic that they were going to do some changes today and we would have to re-login.
  11. We have had about 35-40 trick-or-treaters so far. This is less than normal for us. I am hoping some teenagers show up, but it is just after 8pm here. I will give them the rest of the candy!
  12. In my case, I linked reservations by getting the reservation number from my relative and entering it within my reservation on the computer (was not using the app). Our reservations were originally made separately on the phone directly with RC.
  13. Will be interesting to know. In our cases, they are paying separately but it almost appears in the one case as if I could do anything with their reservation ...... I would prefer not to see it at all other than for the dinner reservation....
  14. I was able to link reservations online just knowing their (my husband's brother and his wife's) reservation numbers. I was just doing it for MTD reservations. I was able to do the MTD reservations for two cruises we are going on with them. Interestingly, in one cruise we are going on with them I can now see their reservation and all related info (their excursions, everything), in the other I just see the dinner reservations. Strange.
  15. Attended a Keith Urban concert last night at UBS Arena in New York. For those not familiar with UBS Arena, it is a new indoor arena built next to Belmont Park (racetrack). The arena is the home to the New York Islanders hockey team. It was a crisp-weather night and a fun concert. Ingrid Andress and Tyler Hubbard (he is half of the duo "Florida Georgia Line") also performed.
  16. I have a different perspective and preferences, but I understand yours and wish you the very best. Thank you for answering the question I posed to you.
  17. With all due respect, we live in a house and would consider moving into a condo. Not everyone is the same. Sorry I asked.
  18. We have one glass of that type as well. There is no year on the drink booklet. We started sailing RC in 2004 so I am guessing from somewhere between then and 2010 but really don't know. There is reference to a 15% gratuity being added so perhaps that is a clue. Ha.
  19. On the subject of mai tai's, I thought some of you would enjoy these recipes from Royal Caribbean. This is a page of one of the old hardcopy drink menus from quite a few years ago......
  20. I am not a big fan of long driving trips but always split such trips with my husband. I have no fear of city driving having driven in and around NYC my whole driving life. On a longer trip we will typically take approximately 2 hour turns. It just seems safer. We also don't drive more than about 8 hours / day. Too many stories of people falling asleep driving. We find it more enjoyable to break it up and go out for a nice dinner. πŸ˜‰
