Next time take a flight up to the mountain, it is spectacular!

We have done Denali and the school buses twice. Not at all uncomfortable, too busy looking at wildlife and scenery to think about comfort. We even saw the mountain which is unusual, it is behind the clouds most of the time. If you skip this you might regret it!

My cabin mate traveled with passport (that expired before the six months), birth certificate and driver license last July. No problems. She was not denied boarding!

Love the "bubble of awesome" ! More folks should think about that. Have a wonderful cruise!

Have sailed Westerdam three times, the last in July. The crew is great and the ship is wonderful. I am also sailing alone now and my suggestion would be that you avoid the dining room the first night. Consider one of the other dining venues. The line is awful! You can choose your time to dine when you book. Enjoy!

Have been to Alaska 11 times, from Fairbanks to Barrow. Ten cruises and one by plane and motor home. I highly recommend Jayleen's Alaska in Juneau. Have also done the air trip to Denali, absolutely wonderful!

On my coffee cup "I am not old, just a recycled teenager"! I remember most of those things, miss the things that are gone, and hope they come back while I can still walk!

I agree, our travel agent knows what we want and gets it done!

I took four women to Seattle in July. One is Asian. We walked at least five miles on the day before our cruise. No one bothered us and many were very helpful and nice. Just do your exploring in daylight, pay attention to what is around you and have a great time. Enjoy your cruise!

As a precaution, we always take pictures on our phone of what we are sending. Just spread it out, take pics and then stuff the bag!

Don't hurry, it takes time for crew to "man" the stations. It took over an hour after embarking on Yesterday in early July.

Saw plenty of or as in Juneau in July. Saw a pair with a calf too. Guess our timing was good, lots of humpback s too.

We were in Juneau on 7/4. So glad we had purchased a independent tour ! There were five ships in port and the streets were so crowded people were forced to walk in the streets. Many were just standing on the sidewalk talking, eating, or just looking around. People if you need to stop on a crowded sidewalk move to the side or wait until you can! IMHO Juneau needs to rethink that many ships on one day, not safe!

After nine trips to Alaska, getting ready to go again, this is the best advice I have read. Especially the part about "falling in love". Each experience is different, but every day is special.

Agree about the Fairmont. Great service, they also take your luggage across the street to the porters.

I had a email from HAL this morning asking me to check in, problem is the name is wrong and the reservation number is correct. Never had this happen before in all my cruises! Will contact my TA on Monday, but I suspect this is another example of their "stellar" website!
