  1. Let me be the first to say, oh my gosh! Prayers are with you and your son. It leaves a person speechless when things like this happen on top of each other. Please take care and know people here are praying for you all. 🙏🙏🙏
  2. My mom and I loved sponge candy! Yummy! For some reason it is only available here (MN) at Christmas time. We always bought some and enjoyed it; not sure what is wrong with the rest of our family..lol. Now that she is gone, I still buy some and eat it in remembrance to her and our shared joy. Would love to eat the ice cream with it in it!
  3. Agree, this is probably the post Covid doings even if you are a good repeat cruiser. That's too bad. Sleep well.
  4. Hi Rich, Thanks for all of your posts and info on the daily stuff on the ship and the ports. I appreciate it. Question, does it make a difference on your choices in the port if you have been there before? How many of the ports have you been to before? IMO, the challenge would be being a a ship for so long but IMO I think I would love! You seem good, stay safe and take care in your travels. 😎 Caron
  5. He was working at the Metropolitan on the TA, glad he is still there for this cruise! Very fun. We also really liked Le Bistro.
  6. The solo cabins offered are not usually the same product when you are traveling with another. JMO.
  7. The term fair is subjective based on the situation and opinions. So yes, this is the cruiseline's definition. Usually fair means equal but there are variables that get used them to justify them. Cruise lines are not alone.
  8. Yes it does! NCL mostly, I believe, sails out of Miami. Not sure why they chose PC for Prima. Agree with you about PC...😒
  9. I have had both of these situations happen to me, a lower rate for a single in a hotel (usually big name chain) and a cruiseline unwilling to take a solo reservation so it can happen. Traveling as a solo can be expensive and seemingly unfair at times, JMO. 🙂
  10. @JazzyV you beat me to it! LOL... that's OK it is an important topic. Take care. 😊
  11. Hello Dailyites, Today is also the AHA National Wear Red Day® and American Heart Month 'National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 3, 2023. Together, we can wear red and be the BIG difference for a better life for women everywhere. We have resources to help you celebrate all Heart Month long!' It is called Go Red for Women Day. Gives awareness to Heart Health for women who's heart health is often ignored by the medical community and for personal awareness. We wore red and were given Red Heart pins when I was working in the corporate world doing research, every year. This is a link for more information to this very important issue. ❤️ Go Red for Women Wear Red and Give | Go Red for Women Very glad Roy is home and on the mend; continued prayers and good wishes for everyone struggling and for improving health. 🙏 My thanks to everyone's great contibutions here for the rest of us! Stay warm those of you in the path or are living in the polar vortex - we are very cold here today. Have a great weekend and everyone take care. 😊
  12. Until the child falls, we have all seen it recently. Just saying.
  13. The child is being put in a dangerous situation called child endangerment which is illegal. The child is dependent on the safety level of the adult which is not clear. I would hope the 'Master' would be smart enough to recognize the possibilities in this situation.
  14. Signing on to follow you on your Prima cruise; glad to see you are writing a review! I was on the Prima Sept/Oct 2022 for the TA. I liked the ship but the TA was cold so we did not get to do anything on Deck 8 where all the new outdoor areas are. I would be interested to see what you think of them. They looked nice; the Vibe looked really nice. It wasn''t open for our cruise though it probably would not have been used because of the cold weather. I'll have to look up your itinerary. You will have a blast. Very exciting for you!!!😎 Also a bit jealous.....😜
  15. @StLouisCruisers, Elliott Rose could not be more adorable! She is growing up beautifully. Big congrats to her parents and your family.😊
  16. @rafinmdRoy, so glad to hear you are being treated. You never know with a fall. Hope you feel better tomorrow; prayers for you for fast healing and a restful night. 🙏🙏
  17. @Quartzsite Cruiser and @Cruising-along I am so on the same fashion page. ☺️
  18. Jumping here; UTIs are pretty common for elderly folks for a variety of reasons. One being the ignoring of symptoms; ask your HCP for these. Even if they believe they are mild or nothing they can get bad pretty fast. If not diagnosed pretty early, they can lead to sepsis and not necessarily a good outcome. Always a good thing to pay attention to. Stay safe!
  19. What? You need to review the safety procedures. What other things than safety are you looking for? Your observations about exposed decks and ineffective lecture are pretty unreasonable. Maritime saftey laws are made for a reason. It is not the cruiselines fault that people do not want to listen or believe they do not need to listen to the safety policies. These are the desparate people during an emergency. Is this you? Maybe you have cruised to much and seen too many drills that you believe they are not necessary. If you have not had to use the safety procedures you are lucky, not everyone has. People have died. It is not for entertainment. There are lots of new cruisers that need this information; even if you already know this information it may save other lives. New cruisers do listen. Let it go. Safe cruising all!
