  1. I've split the new questions into a new thread.
  2. Thank you, I've had a lovely day with lunch in sunny Saundersfoot.
  3. The duration will be shown before booking so you can choose a duration that suits you. Short excursions may also have a choice of start times. As long as you are back on board by the time shown in the Daily Programmes and at the gangway as you leave the ship your time is your own.
  4. That was my understanding as well until we were given a table on Deck 3 on QM2 for fixed dining. We had requested a table of 6 and were given a table for 2. This wasn't a last minute booking and there were a number of tables further back in our section who were also on fixed dining. We were the only ones next to open dining. The only alternative offered was a move to early sitting. We declined the offer.
  5. Not always, we booked fixed second and were on the upper level next to those who had booked open.
  6. That's not the case, Britannia restaurant offers 2 fixed sittings, early and late as well as an option for open dining.
  7. Try the Ports of call boards for general suggestions.
  8. The staff in the Grills are used to people turning up at different times during opening hours.
  9. There's a mention on the Cunard website Solar Eclipse in 2026
  10. That's not correct, Cunard is a US brand for the purposes of OBC
  11. You will get 1 bottle at the beginning of the cruise but replacements would be charged to your account.
  12. The simplest thing is just to treat it as part of the cost of the cruise that you pay on board rather than ahead of time. The queue at the Purser's office will vary as people will be there for other reasons. Did I read in another thread that you have booked a Grills cabin ? If so, the Concierge Desk can help with most things. I'm not sure about removing the Service Charge.
  13. I disagree, the title is a question which has now been answered.
  14. We had 8009 round the Mediterranean last year, I liked it although the view to the back of the ship is obstructed by the lifeboat.
  15. This is probably the thread @Victoria2 was thinking of
  16. There are some photos in the obstructed view sticky
  17. There are Daily Programmes from Queen Elizabeth last year in Alaska in this thread
  18. Yes, but the post I was responding to was addressed to Salacia who isn't.
  19. You may have been booked to sail in March but that wouldn't have been the second cruise.
  20. I don't think there was ever a Maiden Voyage scheduled for March, the delay was from January to May announced in late 2022.
  21. Unfortunately as this is a very old thread at least one of the participants isn't around to carry on the discussion.
  22. That's a shame, hope you make it here sometime.
  23. These were the channels last June
