  1. Once you verbally accept an offer you will get an email from Regent giving you three days to confirm in writing that you accept that offer. That's where the three days comes in. Once you receive that written offer, if you don't accept it in three days it disappears and you have to start the process again. If that happens you will be charged another $75 to start the process again.
  2. WOW!!! I've added 15 or 20 offers to try and get things like this to pop up but you guys are really pros. I guess I'll have to work harder. 🤣 It's not currently on any of our Amex cards. We DID get it two years ago so I wonder if somehow they have a record of that and so don't offer it to the same person again. We did that two years ago. Got the offer on one Amex so when I boarded I changed the Amex on file for ship charges to a different one in case there were any refunds.
  3. You only get one $75 charge per booking. So if all of the calls were about booking the same flight then there would be only one charge. (I know this because the original Regent agent I spoke to booked us on the wrong date and when I called back to change it I wasn't charged a second $75) If I had changed my mind and wanted to change my flight I would have incurred a second fee.
  4. Thanks Marc I'm going to print out your suggestions and take it with us!
  5. Thank you for all of these updates. We will be taking our first Regent cruise on the Mariner this fall (after many Sitmar, Home Lines, Princess, Celebrity, etc. cruises) for a special birthday. Do you have any hints of places on the ship or things to do (again , on the ship) not to be missed?
  6. I remember doing this years ago but I just received an email from Celebrity advertising it again. I logged into the MGM site but their tiers have different names than Celebrity. Can anyone tell me what level MGM I would be at if I'm Elite Plus on Celebrity? Thanks (I also remember being able to tier match a second place from the MGM program but no longer remember where that was)
  7. Celebrity and Princess now email them. (Actually it's not even an email. You have to click on a link in your cruise documents on line and find them there. Then print yourself.) They print out so that you fold them over and people say they work . We purchased plastic holders to put them in .
  8. So are they at least sending the paper tags or do they email them and we have to print them out?
  9. It has been reported that all of the pools on the Sun Princess have ladder entries vs. gradual step-type entries. We're sailing with children (9 and 11). I wondered just how deep the pools are? Will the children be able to stand once they enter the pool or will it be over their heads everywhere?
  10. So I think the OP's question was, if they DON'T respond to the email will they receive the old pleather luggage tags, rather than the paper ones. I read that email as not really giving them a choice. Regent just wants to confirm the address to send the tags ,which will be paper instead of the older(nicer!) ones.
  11. So first and last days are Pool Grill only?
  12. There's a Regent rep at the hotel? (We're at that same hotel and didn't expect dinner but it will be nice to have someone to answer other questions that might come up)
  13. Anyone know anything about the other regent ships?
  14. We'll be on the Mariner in the fall for a big birthday trip for my husband so I'm SO happy to hear that everything is wonderful! Thank you!
  15. Yes we arrive the day before and I'm planning on hiring a private guide for that day. The hotel site I linked looks like we're within a mile of lots of sites for that final morning. I just wondered how early the bus would be picking us up - if it's earlier that 9 or 10 we'll just hang around the hotel.
  16. Palazzo Montemartini Rome (It looks like it's right in the middle of everything!) https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us/hotels/radisson-collection-rome-palazzo-montemartini/attractions ***
  17. We will be sailing on our first cruise out of Rome. Does anyone know the approximate time the Regent transportation leaves from the Rome hotels? Is there time for any sightseeing that morning? ***
  18. What makes you think you won't get airline points for you flight if you book through Regent? We have a flight on Delta and it shows on my Delta app as a normal booking so I expect to get points. I also chose my seats and expect lounge access. We had to make an adjustment ot our booking (the Regent rep booked the wrong day) and I didn'y have to pay a second $75. ***
  19. Thank you. I added Blanton's to our request form. I hope there is more availability than Booker's.
  20. Thanks. Already did that. I really appreciate all of the replies. This won't make or break the cruise. I just thought it would be nice if my husband could possibly get his preferred brand.
  21. And how does one find out what they "supply at a charge"?
  22. I don't know Regent's rules but most cruiselines don't allow you to bring your own liquor on board. (Just wine)
  23. Certain costs are fixed for the cruiselines. I think the profit margin on the luxury lines is higher and it would be unwise business practice to lose those customers. And, as far as cuts, we started cruising on Sitmar. Things that were "mainstream" then aren't even done on the luxury lines now. It bothered me for a while but it's just the way things go. **
  24. I remember that!!! But it was on Princess - I actually saw someone wearing one. (Does that age me?)
