  1. Is there a better selection by the glass rather than by a package?
  2. In my experience, it is always less expensive to book direct. You take the risk that it is a responsible company noted for getting its passengers back in time.
  3. I thought Tin Can Bay would be protected from the wind.
  4. And the weather was glorious on the Gold Coast. Back in to shorts to walk the dogs!
  5. Our travel insurance has always been over-priced. I used to travel annually with my daughter when she lived in London. I was shocked when I learned how much her travel insurance in the UK cost to Europe and UK for the same cruise in Aust.(same age).
  6. Oh no. Please don't give her publicity she doesn't deserve.
  7. "LUMINOSA - Spanish female name - full of light - from Virgin of Lights". Or is it Italian?
  8. Was that a new area when you shifted there 36 years ago? What shire?
  9. Living in Queensland, I have visited most beautiful places en route to Sydney. However, I'd never visited coastal places south of Sydney until we made a special trip south of Sydney to the border. Of course we fell in love with the whole region and stayed in Merimbula, Bermagui and Pambula etc. to Eden. I think it is Canberra's secret!
  10. Love your competitive spirit. Your scoring method will confuse non tennis followers.
  11. I have been on two cruises where I had to have evacuation insurance coverage. One was this year on a small Australian ship. There was an Australian company which provided this level of insurance for passengers on ships with under 100 passengers. The other time was when I did a 25 day cruise to Antarctica etc. I wouldn't cruise there without it. Can you imagine what it would cost to be evacuated from Antarctica?
  12. Id just check with my travel insurance company that the policy covers me for international coverage of covid 19 and keep a copy of their response.
  13. What a lovely photo. I can watch cloud patterns all day from a ship.
  14. "Passengers to be fully vaccinated RAT taken within 24 hours prior to disembarkation at Fijian ports Includes a valid medical travel insurance policy with international coverage of Covid-19"
  15. Sorry. I get caught up following a conversation and forget to read subject matter.
  16. Yes I know but I thought it would be OK to enlighten someone from overseas.
  17. I do. We were a two middle income family, who decided to live on one wage and buy a property with the other. I worked with a girl who did the same, but lived on the lower income. When I next saw her, she owned five properties on the ocean side of the highway at the GC.
  18. We travelled all our married lives, taking our children with us, including a year overseas. My children went to a public school where many of the parents travelled overseas without their children.
  19. I think they had family but told them not to expect an inheritance
  20. So period has been increased from six weeks to 19 weeks which as you say is a long time?
  21. Is that only if you travel overseas for a certain period, or any period you go overseas? Cruising within Australia is looking more attractive.
  22. I met a couple on my last cruise who sold their home and moved to an over 50s village. They stayed in the most expensive cabin on the ship. Sounds like a great way to access cash for retired folk.
