    That was an impressive list of pies competing for Australia's Best Pie. Lucky Australia is a nation of pie lovers. Couldn't see how the mushroom pie was the best pie. Mushroom and meat pies are my third favourite pies. Steak and mushy pies are my favourite, with steak and kidney second. But Cornish Pastries are my favourite.

    How wonderful that your mother is 96 living in her own home only about 3 minutes away from you. Good that she can still drive locally too.

    I would ask the car hire company. I know there is a car hire company in the CBD. Car hire is limited in Hobart because there are less hire cars since Covid.

    Your mother's passing is a blessing at the end but still sad nevertheless as you say. Hope you are comforted by memories of happier family times, Leigh. Does your Dad still live in the family home?

    I can imagine the poor wines on offer must be disappointing to wine drinkers. Would it be better to not pay extra for a wine package and buy a bottle of your favourite wine, which they keep for you to serve each night?

    I used to bring this back duty free from overseas.

    Census data provides useful statistics for cruise lines on future cruising. Millennial generation is overtaking the baby boomers. Australia has become a majority migrant nation with more than 50% of residents born overseas or have an immigrant parent.

    Hurtigruten are currently offering no single supplements on select departures to Antarctica, Svalbard and Norway. Good time for solo travel.
