  1. You actually are required to complete the ArriveCAN prior to boarding the ship. Those filling in the forms are because it was missed it in the first place. You will not have to fill it in again as you get near to your return to Canada.
  2. Here is the concierge class breakfast menu. And a link telling the difference. Mainly more options. Looks like Aqua and Concierge share the same enhanced menu. Celebrity Cruises: Is Concierge Class Worth It? - Cruise Brief
  3. That really was a good deal. That is about the only time I move to Concierge - if the location is better and the price is very close to that of regular veranda. Enjoy the SV!
  4. Yes you keep what you had.
  5. Oftentimes you notice the charge has hit your credit card before you get an email saying your bid was accepted. I’d check your credit card online to see if here is a charge/pending charge on it.
  6. That’s where I normally go. I was able to book all of my dining in February for next January so that was exciting! I went to the app to see the menus and noticed things were ever changing. Then I realized that the app is showing the current sailing’s menus! Our ship had been doing 11 day sailings and is now at 7 days. Realized that when all of a sudden starting day 8 of our 14 day cruise all of the dining venues are ‘closed’.
  7. We sail in January and the app shows different things all the time lol. For a while it showed our port day times. Now that is gone. I have been reading that it isn’t completely reflective until a few days before your cruise.
  8. You will be given a reservation for the first night, which you can change. You go to the Maitre 'd at any specialty restaurant when you board and they will make your reservations with you.
  9. A Blue martini livens up a grey day! Looking forward to following along.
  10. Your ArriveCan QR code (receipt) is tied to your passport/form of ID and is shared with the cruise lines so all the records are linked.
  11. Finally caught up! Great as usual. Played around a bit to get rid of some of the blue 😉
  12. I would say call and have it noted on your reservations. I’ve read the same thing on the Celebrity boards (I’m like you and don’t go on the other boards). It seemed like it happened more when ships were very low capacity. A few stories of sailing with friends and having to go to Guest Relations because they ended up in separate categories. Best to be safe than struggling to fix it if for some reason it did happen.
  13. Yikes. We knew it wouldn’t be wear and tear on a new ship. I hadn’t read that that had happened! Thanks for sharing!
  14. We had to laugh when we were on the Edge about 6 months after her first sailing. We never went to see what they were duct taping but it was worth a chuckle on a brand new ship.
  15. I know the feeling. Even going backwards to get to the decades is more than a few clicks 😆
  16. Yes that is correct. I had to fill it out for what was a 45 minute trip across the border for my Nexus appointment. It takes about 5 minutes or so. They will send you a QR code but it is also tied to your passport so once they scan the passport the information is there for them.
  17. This may not give you the view you are looking for
  18. Oh that’s horrible when that happens. It is not a sales pitch that I need. Just some good pairing recommendations that I can then decide on. Funny how an expensive bottle of Dom gets the nod for the meal lol Have we bought wine by the glass above the premium price point. Yes we have. Do we do it daily - nope. I would say we have had a mix of good/mediocre. Then I just go with what I like. A robust white with steak - yep it’s what I like 😉
  19. On our last few cruises before the pandemic we had two very different experiences. On the Silhouette we had a phenomenal sommelier who said that Celebrity was moving away from truly trained sommeliers to wine stewards. On the Edge, our ‘sommelier’ herself said she really was just ‘learning on the job’. She was trying to soak in as much information as she could. She was honest, and so wanting to learn. We gave her some tidbits of information that could help her out (hopefully!). Just wish Celebrity would have an appropriate position/name for these hard workers so folks can temper their expectations. That being said I would hope that someone working as a wine steward would still not say all California wines are the same 😂
  20. Follow that up with some Irn Bru and you’ve got it all covered 😉😂
  21. I prefer to drink my drinks and chew my food 😂
  22. I agree with LMaxwell. The tables on the balconies are quite small and low as well. This picture is from a recent review. We did room service breakfast on the older style and still found we were holding our plates in our laps. The buffet will occasionally have a local cuisine theme. On one of our Caribbean cruises they had Jamaican theme on that port day.
  23. What a great time lapse . Loved when the wake appears - gorgeous colours! Thanks for posting.
