They work like "heck" to try and accommodate you. It might be something like would coming to the restaurant at 8 rather than the 7 you requested work for you? Also, with the capacity on Symphony down to 606 passengers and almost always fewer passengers than that, but the size of the restaurants not reduced, it all tends to work out.
Happy sailing and think you will be very pleased with Crystal.

Make's sense as a 5% discount, especially considering the current fares, is a lot more than the $100 OBC with the long ago old Crystal referral program.

During a Drake Passage crossing back when, a cabin window on a deck 5 Symphony blew out. After that they put up plywood on all the deck 5 cabin windows for the next crossing.

I'm very sorry you missed your cruise but there's one hard learned lesson here - in today's world when traveling, it is mandatory to have cell service. Spending the money to travel overseas and then not spending the cost for a temporary international cell plan is beyond penny wise and pound foolish.
I swear I'm just curious, but what is the difference between body lotion and hand cream? I've always used the "body lotion" on my hands. Back in the day, it was called hand lotion but you could use it on legs, arms, etc.
As someone who has their 7th and 8th Alaska cruises booked for this year, so a semi-expert, weather for the Alaska cruise season is, you pay your money, you take your chances. I've seen it all, so accept whatever and enjoy.

It seems this is a case that shows that everyone should use a travel agent. These kinds of questions are ones where they can get the answer and can keep escalating to higher authorities until they know they have the correct answer. There is no reason to not use a travel agent and this shows there are times when a good travel agent is valuable.

P.S. And, yes, Tracie means any extra gratuities. Those are optional and at the guest's discretion.
Is Allen almost up to McKinney or closer to Denton? I go back to Dallas in the 60s when Spring Valley and Coit Road were considered far out! 🤪 Think it would be good to make it to at least The Woodlands, in the northern part of the Houston metro area, if you are coming down I 45. Anything south of The Woodlands would be even better for the next day.
You posted this on the luxury board. The price you want to pay is much below what a luxury cruise costs. Most luxury cruises start at around $500/day/person. Suggest you repost on this board https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/69-ask-a-cruise-question/ Good luck and happy cruising.
I have to assume that all the cruise lines new to Galveston or having announced they will be there in the future have looked into everything and found the positives to far out weight the negatives. They wouldn't be sending their largest, newest ships if they were unsure of the business prospects. I'd say the biggest issue isn't "infrastructure" in the Houston/Galveston area but the lack of diversity in ports available to mass market lines wanting to offer 7 day or shorter cruises.
On Symphony, only 76 out of 303 cabins or 25% are the old "cabins" and not suites. So, if a travel writer is given an Aquamarine or higher, they will write about the majority of accommodations on the ship.
I posted the same thought (with fewer details) on the Crystal Society Facebook page and had a response from Cristina Levis (or an underling posting under her name) that those points aren't the case, but nothing about what is the case!!
