  1. If you forgot you already asked, or don’t know how to find your previous thread, just tap on your username or avatar and it will bring up your profile and the previous threads you started or replied to. If you start a thread and then don’t return to read replies for days or weeks, it may have moved back many pages, as these boards can move fast. EM
  2. One option is a November cruise on QM2 from Southampton to NYC, then continuing on a two week cruise to the Caribbean, returning to NYC and then the return crossing to Soton. The whole things is sold as 27 days, but you can buy the crossings and the Caribbean portion of 14 days separately. In January P&O has one on Ventura that is 35 nights. What you are asking for can be quite long. P&O has one on Iona in Jan that also is 35 nights; another QM2 in Jan that goes straight to Caribbean, o NYC but atoll 35 nights. I am only looking at cruises from Soton in cruisedeckplans.com. Perhaps Fred Olsen or the other Zulu based lines would have cruises from another port in the UK. EM
  3. The Gatun cam has been adjusted, or changed. It appears to be indoors which dims the colors. And a little different angle. Today, We’d. 4/17 we had Eurodam going westbound. This morning the had reversed the lane directions, although by afternoon they were back to ‘normal’. I wonder if someone with influence made a special request…
  4. Answer on your duplicate thread.
  5. It is no longer a secret. If you look on the deck plans, there may be a symbol you can quite decipher. It is a B, sometimes on its side. You have to magnify it deck plan to make it out. The pics are from deck 8 Divina. Cabins with tub are only for 2, because the bathroom has to be larger to accommodate the tub, so there is not enough space for a couch. On Divina we had an oversized chair. On Seaside we had a loveseat nearly as large as a couch.
  6. The bunks are mounted on the side walls parallel to the bed. The tv is on the wall opposite the foot of the bed. The person on the bunk side may have to scoot to the center of the bed to sit up. Thee is no couch in a regular or a square inside, only in the premium insides. Why are you concerned about the sofa bed and upper combo? Is someone going to hog the big bed forcing you to use both? Pic below is of a standard inside. Poached from cruisedeckplans.com. If you have concerns about cabin configurations, etc., buy a membership in cruisedeckplans so you can do your own research. EM
  7. On our Seaside cruise, I purchased one so that I could leave my card in the power slot by the door. I was usually the one opening the cabin door so my card went there. I am an early riser, my sister was seldom out of bed before noon unless we had an excursion. If I needed to take my card, I would have to hunt hers to replace mine, or leave her in the dark…so the bracelet was handy. I bought one again on my solo Seaside cruise, it didn’t bother on Seashore. Just a note: if you are doing a B2B and staying in the same cabin or same muster area, you can have the bracelet reprogrammed for the new cabin or dates. EM
  8. Welcome to Cruise Critic. There are two places for you to get more info about your cruise. One is the board here for Princess Cruises, located under Cruise Lines P-Z. Second is the ROLL CALL for your cruise. the Roll Call is where you can connect with other CC members sailing with you and share your excitement. The third place for Alaska questions is the Alaska board under Ports of call. EM
  9. You will need an adapter for the usb-c. Pack of 3 available on Amazon. EM
  10. Hmmm….i don’t think that was mentioned in the end,esp thread. Which I quit reading early on. EM
  11. I was privileged to sail with him on the Star Princess inaugural, and again later on QE2. EM
  12. Just drive from the first terminal to the other. At the end of the Mardi Gras cruise you would still have to get back to the first terminal with all the luggage. That would mean a taxi with double luggage. Great plan to pack separate luggage. EM
  13. I doubt if there are multiple return times, but maybe someone else knows. Your less expensive option would be to buy birg tickets and take the train. The tickets allow for use on multiple transit options within the city and return at your convenience. EM
  14. I noted long ago that my Princess and Cunard number are identical. EM
  15. They won’t cancel, but may alter the itinerary. EM
  16. There was a long thread where they were filming for their YouTube channel and some people complained. Apparently someone had given them permission but guests were annoyed, etc. and complained. They were asked to stop and some thought they were mistreated. They chose to debark early rather than remain until the end of the cruise. EM
  17. Scootaround and Special Need at Sea are the two companies that provide rental equipment on cruise lines, deliver and set up. I don’t know whether you could find another company local to your departure port who would deliver and set up. EM
  18. I like plantations. I like history, architecture, furnishings…I have no problem with any of it. EM
  19. If the fare for the first cabin was 3rd person free, then the fare for the first two was $1200 and the TA divided it by 3. If third person moves, the fare stays the same for that cabin, the third person owes the $400 back to the other two, plus the fare for the new solo cabin. EM
  20. Oceania Sirena and all of the Azamara ships are identical builds. Each cruise line has four of the original eight R class ships built for the now defunct Renaissance Cruise Line. Oceania has three newer ships, soon to be four, that are twice the size of the R ships. EM
  21. But that was a different question/situation. She said that an expired passport could be used as picture ID. They would accept it as ID, not as proof of citizenship. EM
