  1. Nothing wrong. Their IT systems just suck. You were smart to not just complete your booking online and to review your reservation with someone and verify the inclusions with someone on the phone and written invoice before placing the deposit.
  2. Yes the change fee. $100 pp. From the limited information provided it does seem like the higher price is indeed correct if it reflects the price/promo in effect at the time of the change that you seemed to understand at the time. But it appears you pushed back challenging the lower price and the lower price quote was confirmed by the agent and backed up with the written invoice. If this is all the case I suspect they will fall back on the "errors will not be honored" fine print as they have done several times recently. But hopefully they will listen to the call and verify the situation. At minimum you should be given some goodwill OBC for your inconvenience caused by their poorly trained agent.
  3. I think you will be tendered most days as the watersports platform will be available all but 1 day. I think Raiatea would be the only place where you possible dock.
  4. And since you have to pay in full 30 days in advance the tour leader can contact TBL and have the other participants pay TBL directly. I found people more comfortable paying the supplier in advance vs paying me in advance. I'm not going to risk no-shows on day of tour and get stuck with the extra cost.
  5. Just quoting T&C. There is a Offer Period defined and it clearly states flights must be booked during the Offer Period. Sorry I used the term booking window instead of Offer Period. I don't have direct experience but have read here others who have been denied the discount when flights opened. You evidently had a different experience. Big surprise that Celebrity is inconsistent! That's why I advised if they are looking to use the flight discount promo that they call FBC and get confirmation from them as I believe the discount is applied to the air invoice.
  6. @CMW5060 If this is truly the case and I have no reason to doubt it I would email the executive office and ask them to investigate, send them the copy of the invoice you were provided and ask them to listen to the recorded call and that you expect them to honor the deal made on the phone and confirmed to you in writing. Of course when you rebook you get the prevailing rate and promo and the original promo is dropped. But a rebooking fee? Never heard of such a thing.
  7. It's not unusual for them to accept bids on sold out categories.
  8. I think what was confusing the OP was that the slider default was not set at the minimum bid. You have to slide the slider to the left to get it to the minimum bid. Just some more mind games to get you to bid more.
  9. I've never known Celebrity to be responsive to emails other than complaints to the executive office.
  10. Here is a link to the sales flyer on the flights promo. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/Galapagos/08_01_23_FLY_GAL_Flights_On_Us_Galapagos_Offer_08-01 to 09-30-23.pdf Pay close attention to the terms and conditions. If you notice it says the flights must be booked during the offer period which ends this week. Of course flights are not available to book for your timeframe. I have read in the past people in this situation when trying to book flights when they opened were told that the promo wasn't currently active so no deal. They also detail the GALAPNOAIR promo with $500 pp off cruise fare if you do your air independently. I don't understand how that is "built into the cruise" I'd call back and ask for it to be priced without the FLYGALAPAGOS promo and add the GALAPNOAIR. The way I see it the bottom line should be $1000 less for 2 people. You would probably be better off to call Flights By Celebrity and ask how this promo would work when flights are not open to book yet. If it were me I'd probably take the $500 pp off the cruise fare to not risk the promo not being honored unless they can give you something in writing that it will be honored outside the "booking window". You can try entering these 2 promo codes using APPLY A PROMO CODE AND EXCLUSIVE RATES DISCOUNTS to see what the resulting rates are. Good luck.
  11. I've never heard of it being offered to anyone in less than a Royal Suite. Maybe but never heard of it. I think on most sailings there are 0 passes sold.
  12. The chart indicates "tier points" which are defined as 1 pt/$ for slot play below???
  13. That flyer is out of date. There was an email last week with a new benefits chart. One change was Amethyst no longer gets an annual cruise benefit. I'd look at the blue chip web site.
  14. I'll support the OP that when we boarded Infinity in March of 2023 Valparaiso boarding was the worst of my 60+ Celebrity cruise by far. Most of the port staff were trying hard and were polite. The line to checkin probably had 200-300 people in it. Fortunately we can checkin in the Retreat area which was a roped off area in the corner of the warehouse but was still made to feel uncomfortable by the checkin staff.
  15. Connie goes to dry dock in April of 2024. It's only 2 1/2 weeks long so it will probably only be mechanical inspections/maintenance and maybe some soft goods. I think the full Revolution program is permanently on hold fleet wide.
  16. Actually no, once a reservation is set to NRD it can't be changed to refundable. I just changed a sail date recently and they didn't collect the $100 pp at the time of change. They just added a line item to each passenger on the new invoice. If you have a refundable reservation you can swap to a NRD fare at any time including when changing ship/sail date but not the reverse.
  17. The 25% after May 28, 2023 doesn't seem right unless that is maybe less than $900? I'm assuming your booking date was May 27 or 28? The 25% would be the total cruise fare minus Taxes/Fees as they get refunded. This is one reason I always have reservations which I book onboard so I only have $200 deposit at risk. If I'm not sure if I will take the particular sailing I make it a refundable fare so I can move it to another date without charge. At that time I can change it to NRD if I want and still keep the $200 deposit.
  18. When they say locked out it's just that you are locked out from transferring additional funds from your seapass account until you play a min percentage of what you already took. We have heard it anywhere from 10%-50%. If you are locked out you also can't take advantage of any time they load $5 or $10 promotional play like they do some nights. We have been successful in asking an attendant and they will unlock for the promo play. If you are going to take OBC this way I would suggest you take the entire amount at one time so if you do get locked out it won't matter.
  19. Then you get charged $129 pp plus 20% gratuity for the private diving platform and rescue boat ride.😀
  20. Maybe they did on that first sailing in June. On July 3rd sailing they were back to walk up. I agree that filling the Retreat to capacity while professing social distancing was a brain dead thing to do at that time.
  21. It's actually midnight in the timezone of the port of embarkation. While Retreat guests and Zenith Captains Club members have to select a time during the checkin process they are invited to arrive at any time during the boarding process.
  22. They do still sell buckets. On Summit in Oct the table behind us in the MDR was buying them in the dining room, a bit tacky in my opinion especially when the bar server built a pyramid with the empties instead of providing us any service at all. Was startled when the pyramid came crashing down.
  23. On Infinity it's still going to be a shower curtain. I've stayed in these rooms and they are just like any other concierge cabin but are just a touch wider (easier to walk by the end of the bed) and the balcony is way deeper.
  24. They only have a shower. What makes you think they have a tub/shower? I don't see any indication on the plan for tub even for the suites that do have tub/shower. The square indicates a sofa.
