  1. Thank you for supporting the airline that has been holding several thousand dollars for many months. I paid a significant up-charge for refundable tickets for ME to have the ability to cancel, but I guess they get to do it at no cost to them. Yes I understand it's in the contract.
  2. They are basically in charge of the customer service aspect. The Front Desk Manager, Concierge Team also report to him/her. Maybe Future Cruises to some extent but they also get lots of direction direct from Miami. The front desk agents all report to the Front Desk Manager. I've been amazed at the bloat of the middle managers (1-2 stripe) in the last several years. You see them all over and rarely are they directly interacting with passengers. (4 assistant bar managers is one example). In the current environment of cost cutting it seems that the customer facing positions are being reduced but these positions remain. In my years in the IT industry when things got tight the middle management layers were hit hardest often removing entire layers.
  3. I agree escalation direct to the CEO is the wrong route to take until you have gone through the normal process which in this case the OP did and got things resolved. Now they might want to write to the office of the CEO to explain what happened, how the CS agent with supervisor support fixed it stating the amount of time and stress experienced by the OP. I think some good will OBC is in order when customers have to spend hours dealing with their horrible IT systems which they have ignored for years.
  4. I think they generally go up on the sailing after the Thanksgiving sailing. It generally takes several days as they appear to do most of it in the overnight hours.
  5. Turkey offered in the buffet carving station is always better than what they serve in the dining room. On Summit last week and had Turkey with Mashed Potatoes Stuffing and gravy with cranberry sauce. I don't remember seeing the green bean casserole. Gravy was next to the potatoes!
  6. Full chain of command is Butler -> Retreat Manager -> Guest Relations Director -> Hotel Director. I assume the Retreat Host (stateroom attendant) still reports to the Assistant Chief Housekeeper but I would take any issue there to the Retreat Manager and up that chain as well as the Retreat Manager is really responsible for your in-suite experience.
  7. I believe they always have a selection of Veuve Clicquot. The used to have special dinners with pairing to various Veuve Clicquot Champagnes.
  8. Thanks. I thought I would try that once I hear back from the TA. Not happy with Delta. I asked for some compensation as these flights have been booked for 7 months and told them I would be incurring a significant hotel charge for the delay. Of course they said tough.
  9. Not all flights by Celebrity are refundable fares. If you have a non-refundable fare and you cancel after final payment you would have the $200 pp FBC fee and you would probably just have airline credit generally good for 1 year after ticketing. Generally FBC doesn't ticket until payment so you should have most of a year to use. Make sure to check this on the flight summary. If the flight isn't tagged with "Risk Free" that's also an indicator.
  10. We have a post cruise hotel night in Tahiti after our cruise in Jan/Feb. Yesterday I found that Delta/Air France have cancelled our flight to LAX and I have had to rebook a day later. Has anyone had experience extending the hotel stay? I've made final payment already and have been told our hotel is the Intercontinental. I can book a room independently but wouldn't know what category to book to be able to extend our stay in the same room. I called Windstar yesterday but they said there can't be any deviations but since I use a TA they really wouldn't discuss. I reached out to my TA to see what he can do via Windstar. I'm just wondering if others have had experience and roughly what the per day cost is for that hotel via Windstar.
  11. I got an email a few months ago with the point total on it. I was relatively close to the next level. I guess I will have to call to see new total after last sailing. Does anyone know how long it takes for credits to be applied. Slot play if that makes a difference
  12. But if they redeploy the ship the prices will probably drop to try to fill the cancelled berths.
  13. I don't think you would have any trouble getting it in Luminae for breakfast. If they have the ingredients they will make it for you. Might give them a heads up the night before if you are planning on ordering it in the morning.
  14. Does anyone know how to find out your current point status? DW asked in the casino and it seemed there was only one person there who could look it up.
  15. That might be the one thing consistent across Celebrity😀
  16. Rules say no but there have been some reports here of success. With ships sailing full now if you are lucky enough to win a moveup most likely all cabins in the upper categories will be assigned. I guess the advice would be to check for open cabins, then call and ask politely and don't be surprised if the answer is no.
  17. Change to let you combine was on any sailings after June 1, 2019. As I suggested before I think they process the online requests on the weekend. I submitted 3 sailings on Thursday and they came through this morning.
  18. @Ex-Airbalancer I have a question for you I wonder if you could contact me via email at wrk2cruise at gmail.com
  19. We are just off Summit 10 night repositioning cruise. Also had 3 Chic nights. They really should stick to the guidelines in the FAQ's on their website. EVENING CHIC Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call Evening Chic. Of course they don't adhere to any other part of the dress code FAQ so why this part?
  20. I submitted 2 days ago both online and by email. I've heard nothing back other than the automated mail that my email had been received. On a positive note I think the last several times I have submitted it seemed to be processed over the weekend. I'm hoping this is the case this time.
  21. No. There will be no changes to the AI perks you had with the original booking.
  22. Been in 1106, 1108 and 1110. Love the location near the elevator. There is a large open space outside these cabins.
  23. From Port of Miami? To me that's too risky. Just off Summit on Monday. First people probably hit the curb about 8 am. Then during disembarkation the escalator in the terminal broke and they had to move disembarkation from deck 4 to deck 1. Delayed the rest of disembarkation about 1/2 hr at least.
  24. Plus it is very hit or miss if the requests make it to the ship or not. As this poster says it's pretty easy to straighten out onboard.
