  1. 99% of the time they will have enough outsides available to satisfy the outside GTY's they sell. It's very uncommon to get assigned outside the category you book. When it does it's whatever helps the Celebrity inventory problem and nothing predictable.
  2. If you buy OBC using this method it is the refundable kind. If not used by the end of the sailing you can ask for the remainder in cash at Guest Services or it will be refunded to the credit card on file.
  3. M. Haslinger & Fils Brut Champagne seems to be whats available on the premium package lately. You do have to watch them as they will try to pour the cheap crap.
  4. The last few months have been loaded with posts from Celebrity loyal trying Oceania, Regent among others. They do need a way to try to push these people to SilverSeas brand. Right now there is nothing.
  5. This is true but the Celebrity site will show the "inherited" points. My page shows this text. My wife's page doesn't show this.
  6. While it will show that way while your accounts are linked due to your shared household if for some reason they are unlinked his points will return to what were actually earned by him. So yes he has to stay married to you! He may receive some communications from CC with his loyalty information on it which might show his earned points but don't worry about that. While DW and I have been on all the same cruises I have 10 less points than she does as some of my PUP points were never credited even though I did the PUP activities for both of us.
  7. Since the ship overnights at Barcelona and Rome I guess there is the opportunity to add one more night to the sailing. I thought I read that this was how they were handing the free pre/post night promotion on these sailings. You would be accommodated onboard rather than an actual hotel stay.
  8. You luggage is also generally placed right at the point where you go to immigration and is the first off the ship. Sometimes there is a worker there that will place you in the line if there is one. Priority disembarkation is one of the very nice Retreat perks.
  9. No Samsung flat screen. Last time we were on though there was no online system on the TV though so you couldn't check your account that way.
  10. The AQ Suites are generally the better location or have some desirable attribute so you did benefit.
  11. Actually it's right after the TA. Goes to dry dock April 6.
  12. Yes this is due to their crazy "sale" pricing where the second passenger is 50% off (with refundable deposit) so the third person is paying full fare like the first. I would still have them give you quotes. As mahdnc says your original booking shouldn't be affected other than removing the third passenger fees. Make sure none of the other Perks on the original booking would change. Then get a new booking which can be non-refundable as you are at final payment so deposit will be at risk anyway. The third passenger will still be at full price but the second one on the new reservation will be 75% off. Of course this new reservation will be at prevailing rates.
  13. I agree with all the above comments about the MDR. I do believe there can be an extra charge for a second entree in the specialty dining venues.
  14. It's $35 for 1 device for 24 hrs onboard. You can use it on as many devices as you want but only 1 device at a time. So yes you have to log off 1 device to be able to use another.
  15. In Fiji there was little or nothing offered for shore excursions. Nothing that appealed to us so we did what we like to do in port, just walk around and people watch and get a feel for local life. The people we ran into were nice enough but it just wasn't attractive or well cared for. Not sure what I expected but I guess it was more a South Pacific lush green environment. Just didn't live up to my limited expectations.
  16. We have done many Celebrity sailings and love sea days. This sailing had 2 stretches of 3 days at sea and another single sea day. For some reason we did get tired of sea days. We chose this sailing for 2 reasons. 1) never been to South Pacific and 2) did Auckland to Sydney cruise before but didn't do anything north of Auckland. We spent about a week prior to the sailing touring North of Auckland with 3 days in Bay of Islands. We also figured it would be easier to get a flight to Auckland vs Fiji. As far as the sailing we were pretty disappointed with the port stops in Fiji but did enjoy Cook Islands, Bora Bora and Moorea as they met our expectations of South Pacific islands.
  17. It was the 15 night Auckland to Tahiti sailing. We did 2 excursions on Bora Bora which we liked. Bora Bora 4x4 Deluxe Lagoon Tour (Bayliner boats with 8 people each)
  18. If you downgrade the premium upgrades you will only be able to enjoy premium drinks in the Retreat Lounge. Luminae and Retreat sundeck are limited to the booked package. If you downgrade Wifi you will have basic wifi only.
  19. We flew Air Tahiti Nui from LAX to Auckland with a stop in Tahiti. I'm pretty sure they fly from Paris to PPT via either LAX or Seattle. The planes are all Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Nice planes and good service. We flew in Premium Economy.
  20. Just home from the Breeze last week. The dinner on the Motu in Bora Bora is a wonderful event. For us it was on the first night. They had the Motu to use as a beach day from 10-4 on the second day (marine platform was closed that day).
  21. Just off Star Breeze. We spent quite a bit of time doing puzzles next to the future cruise desk. Heard it being discussed multiple times. Unfortunately the subsequent sailing was full but it does seem to still be offered if availability. $25 pp/pd more for balcony room.
  22. You should not lose anything when changing cabin in the same category. Their system in notorious for dropping OBC when there are any changes on a reservation. Generally a simple call will get it reinstated.
