  1. I used Airalo esim global earlier this year. I did a South America trip as well as Tampa to Barcelona TA followed by 2 more Europe sailings. Worked everywhere I went. I think I used less than 1 GB total. I had premium wifi on the ship. It's data only. I had to make a phone call in Argentina to change airport pickup arrangements when we took an earlier domestic flight. I used google voice (had to put $$ on my account) but the call was only $.02 per minute for calling Argentina to Argentina. I'm planning on getting a local esim from Airalo for NZ when we visit next year. $11 for 30 days 3 gb. If you run out of data you just top up, another $11 gives you another 3 gb and extends the plan by 30 days.
  2. It's always been port side. The only exception is that smoking is allowed at the Mast Bar on S class ships and that's on the starboard side.
  3. I suspect it might only be this itinerary. I saw some postings of things not normally done on last years Boston/Iceland sailings. It's most probably up to the Chef in the Buffet. We were on a B2B2B on Constellation in April'/May. The chef in the buffet had Prime Rib and chateaubriand and Yorkshire Pudding on the evening buffet 1 or 2 times each sailing. He had Beef Wellington one day and chateaubriand another on the lunch buffet. He also had shrimp cocktail on the lunch buffet daily. We were friendly with the Restaurant Manager and asked how this was possible with the cutbacks. His response was that the chef was very good at managing his budget. No I don't think it will be fleet wide. Most ships don't even have a minute steak cook to order on the lunch buffet anymore.
  4. I guess one way to find out for sure would be to email the head of Captains Club Andrea Shey ashey@celebrity.com
  5. I think the emails generally go out mid afternoon. If your cc hasn't been charged I think you can expect a "sorry" email.
  6. Generally they will let you keep goodwill OBC if you rebook immediately. But this new regime seem to have zero respect for past precedent.
  7. Thrusters are and they are in the same area.
  8. Don't you always complain about the nasty spiny lobster? But yet you eat three?
  9. Also in their thinking. More room for new cruisers. I think their going to have plenty of room.
  10. Good plan. I suspect that you may find you will be offered to order off the Blu menu in that case. They don't seem to like you not eating in the assigned dining as it reflects poorly on them. (maybe it complicates tip distribution as well). There are many stories about the Matre'd chasing down people and grilling them on why they aren't eating in Luminae.
  11. I've been sailing Celebrity for 20 years, the longevity of production shows has consistently been around 5 years. The real cost cutting I've seen lately is having guest performers perform shows on multiple nights. Sometimes their second show seems to be less "polished".
  12. Implementation date for the Retreat Team is 8/15 so I imagine it will be on the next sailing.
  13. There's no way the entertainment slate in the theater is set this far in advance. The guest entertainers are rarely known very far in advance. The 2 production shows Topper and Life stay on the ship for at least 5 years. Intimate Broadway Cabaret is the production singers just singing Broadway tunes. They started this after the restart as I'm sure it's cheaper than bringing on another act.
  14. Most times you seem to be able to do this but I have had a couple of times when I was told no you can't move a GTY cabin, if you want to change to a specified cabin even in the same category it's at prevailing rates (non GTY). As always say thank you and call back!
  15. The sunset suite on "S" class ships are much nicer than the Aqua Suites. The Aqua Suites are just a marketing gimmick to glean more $$ from some of the better location S2 suites by adding amenities with little to no value. I'm with others here, stick with the Sunset Sky Suite.
  16. Infinity had Starlink when we sailed Chile to Argentina in March of last year. I was able to stream TV every night on that sailing with premium package. We were on deck 11. I think any reference to adding cabins on Infinity would only be to add the 8 or so Oceanview cabins on the port side of deck 3 in place of the wine room as been done already on the other 3 "M" class ships.
  17. If you each have a 1 device plan via AI then as the above posting says you should but the 1 device upgrade for each of you. Are you aware that it's 1 device at a time? You can use the 1 device on multiple devices, just 1 at a time. If you try to log into a second device it will tell you the account is already in use and will allow you to boot that device off and use the package on the device you are currently logging in. The for the vast majority of people the 1 device plan is sufficient.
  18. I also either take a screen shot and save in photos or add to the wallet on my iPhone. One time we were boarding the Summit and I got to the terminal and I couldn't get the app to come up to display my Xpress Pass. Had a paper copy I had to dig out. Turns out we had been on the Summit before and the terminal was close enough to the ship so my phone connected to the ships wifi but since I didn't have a wifi package setup for some reason wouldn't let me on internet to access the app.
  19. Yes you can ignore that and checkin anytime.
  20. If you don't have a wifi package (basic or premium) you can still connect to the ships wifi and use the app for free.
  21. I have the same situation where my cruise is booked with the TA and I did the FBC booking myself. If you don't do anything the TA will collect the total balance including the FBC amount. If you want to pay the flights early to get ticketed and confirm seats then I believe you have to call FBC.
