Booking a future cruise onboard a cruise
wrk2cruise replied to Not a username2's topic in Celebrity Cruises
If the current cruise was booked via a TA the future booking will by default be assigned to that same agency. If this is not what you want you have to request it be held by Celebrity and will have to sign a form. You can then assign it to any agency within 30 days. -

Captain's Club Tier Change During Cruise?
wrk2cruise replied to cruzintiger's topic in Celebrity Cruises
^^^^ This ^^^^ -
We saw this on Edge and there were a couple large family groups in the Retreat. In the evening there were unaccompanied teens getting into the self serve alcohol (mostly beer) Some guests brought it to the bar servers attention and she was in tears worried for her job. So I can understand why it's not left out. For me I appreciate the service in the lounge. I'm not interested in serving myself, the service is part of what I'm paying the extra $$ for.

I believe what you may be seeing is all related to GTY pricing. I believe GTY pricing is only available for double occupancy. People were recently complaining about the difference between cruise only price and AI. Turns out it was because of the restrictions on GTY rates.

Place it on 24hr hold. Then contact your travel provider. If you need call Celebrity and ask them to extend the hold. Generally they will give you a few extra days.

Future booked cruises with All Included? Tips no longer included.
wrk2cruise replied to 39august's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Yea I had that happen as well. Evidently the $100 pp change fee gets added automatically many times it shouldn't -
No first hand knowledge, just a faint memory so I could be wrong. I'd still be surprised that Blue Moon was over $10 and that's explicitly listed on the premium list. Edit: Well I was wrong. Blue Moon is $11 so I guess you can pay the difference. Here is a good site with current prices. https://cruisingkids.co.uk/celebrity-cruises-drink-packages-and-bar-menus-the-ultimate-guide/

Since you are in a suite (CS) I wouldn't worry too much about it. You should be contacted by the Shoreside Concierge a week or 2 prior to your sailing. At that time I would make sure to make them aware and they should get it to the info to the ship. When you go to Luminae the first time mention it to the hostess who should have the Maitre'd speak with you. The waiters will also generally ask you at your first seating about any dietary restrictions. They will seat you with the same wait staff each time you dine there. Reviewing the menu and ordering the night before they will take good care of you. If dining in the buffet use the multiple assistant Maitre'd circulating (shirt and tie) to answer any questions as the line people won't know. The Maitre'd will either know or ask the chef for you. Lately they are very good at labeling vegan and gluten free items. Lactose probably not.

They can change multiple times per day. Typically if you check daily you will catch most of them. I find that at times especially on the weekends there may be a dip for a couple of hours.

I believe that is only the case for mixed drinks. I believe the beer is limited to what's available on the classic package which is pretty much low end domestic beers. A few years ago I think the beer $ limit was like $6. For example it I want Sparkling Water, Red Bull or Vitamin Water and I'm on Classic package I have to pay full price even though they are less than $10.

There will be a form in your stateroom on the first day indicating your Captains Club benefits and how to use them.

Is E3 a higher category than an E2 on Apex?

Here is what Celebrity considers the upgrade priority according to the Captains Club 1 category upgrade chart. -
I'm sure training to be a sommelier on Celebrity is a computer based training course and a quiz to pass. Then pick up your vest.

Right, some variation of this sale has been going on for almost a year now. Sort of like the furniture store "Final Clearance".

T&C Indicate it's only for sailings through 2024: Offer applies to bookings made between August 30, 2023 – September 4, 2023 (“Offer Period”), and applies to select sailings departing September 10, 2023 – December 27, 2024

I suspect the Zero Proof premium non alcohol options cost much more than what Celebrity pays for well alcohol.

Celebrity Cruises' "Best Price Guarantee" is a lie.
wrk2cruise replied to RomanH's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The Exciting Deal pricing is much different than the standard pricing. If you look at the standard pricing it's way inflated then some convoluted math involved to do the 75% off the second passenger or whatever the promo is. Exiting deals are $xxxx for each passenger then taxes/fees added. I read the exciting deals T&C on the website where they are all listed. They don't explicitly state "new bookings only" just "must be booked between x and y" dates which I guess is the same thing. Your sailing was booked outside that range. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/Exciting_Deals/CEL_Exciting_Deals.pdf You have to look at it like if you found a lower price listed on some TA site, they are not going to match that as it's not apples to apples what you booked. The purpose of Exciting Deals is to fill the last remaining rooms on the ship. As I stated earlier they have historically only been offered after final payment has passed which would avoid this situation as you can't reprice any reservation after final payment unless the price changes within 48 hrs of your initial booking. -
Celebrity Cruises' "Best Price Guarantee" is a lie.
wrk2cruise replied to RomanH's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I assume if you cancelled and made a new booking your NRD penalty would have eaten the $90 difference? I thought Exciting deals were always for sailings within the 90 day final payment window. Has that changed? -
Only responsible people are testing themselves if they have symptoms or those who have symptoms and report themselves to medical. The majority just wander around sneezing and coughing and spreading to others. After all it's their vacation.

They used to wheel it to your table for your selection. Now it's generally just parked somewhere in the dining room and the waiter will bring you a small selection during desert. Every Chic night I believe but definitely the last one.

If your excursion is sold out and you cancel you will free those slots up and can rebook. It may take a couple of minutes for the inventory to become available. Just refresh your browser. There is the very remote risk that if someone is sitting there at exactly that time to book that excursion they will get your slots but pretty remote risk. I just had this situation on my Norway cruise for next summer during this sale. Saved about $150 on this one excursion.
