  1. Depending on your port times in San Juan, a visit to El Junque National Forest could be nice. There are several hiking trails and waterfalls. You would have to take a taxi (no idea of the cost there and back) or rent a car. I believe you also have to book a time for the park. Maybe see if there is an independent tour that goes there?
  2. At $35.00, think we'll skip it and just try to find some shade (if there still is some...).
  3. Thanks for the clarification, did not realize there was a 3rd party involved.
  4. I'm not sure, but isn't the "shore side purchases" for those stores that Princess recommends and is a way to use the Medallion for purchasing something? If that's the case, the stores would not have your cc number, nor would you HAVE to use the medallion for a purchase -- or go to those stores at all!
  5. I've tried to change my password and my username - the username is our old email account, so Princess sends the link the old email (even though I've updated the email address for our accounts), which I can't access!
  6. Not sure, but I would think "no added salt" would constitute "low-sodium."
  7. If you go to your Personalizer for your cruise in Princess.com, click on Check-in and scroll down to "Guest Check-in Status" you can click on Dietary Requests. Low-sodium is one of the options. If you check that, if you eat in a dining room the first night, the head waiter will bring you the next night's menu with low-sodium options (they do this for allergies, too). It would be nice if they had sodium contents listed somewhere, like for buffet foods! Or even, made all the food with lower sodium...
  8. Not interested in rum tastings. Is it possible to hire a taxi at the pier for a few hours (to go to the botannical garden, for example) or is that not recommended?
  9. So you don't mind the bright light going on when you get up in the middle of the night?
  10. We also appreciated the Cancel for Any Reason waiver -- had to reluctantly cancel our Quebec to FLL cruise this fall due to DH having a cardiac procedure scheduled for less than 2 weeks after we would have gotten home. Procedure would have been re-scheduled if he was diagnosed with Covid within 21 days of it, and we just didn't want to take that chance. Since our cancellation wasn't strictly due to medical reason, we got the balance of the fare as FCC. We promptly applied the FCC and the returned fare to a February cruise, which we are determined to take!
  11. Never mind, found my answer...
  12. No worries - if you booked directly with Princess, you will get an email reminder about two weeks before final payment. If you booked with a TA, he or she should also send you a reminder, if they're any good! The TAs that I've worked with always request the payment about a week before it's due, to make sure it goes through in plenty of time.
  13. Has anyone used the ferries between St. Kitts and Nevis in the past year? We're looking at a DIY day on Nevis, the one ferry considering is Next Edition, which has the times that would work best.
  14. If you don't pay the PVP until final payment, then it's a wash if you cancel before then, you're not charged for it.
  15. As @erber mentioned, we also have Googlefi for our carrier. SMS messages do go over wi-fi with it, but probably not with other carriers for Android users? Also, WhatsApp sends messages, audio calls, and video calls over wi-fi, too, so that would be a way for people to contact you.
  16. Yes, we have, too, but was quite a number of years ago. It is close to La Bonne Crepe, which we always try to get to!
  17. Thanks, @Trish Traveler. We already went ahead and booked the Riverside with friends, about the same rate.
  18. Does Princess send an email when a room is assigned or do we just keep checking? Did a guarantee once before but was years ago so I don't remember. This time, have a guaranteed deluxe balcony because that's all that was left when we added on that sailing.
  19. Be aware that the robes are "one size fits all" but some fit smaller people than others!
  20. You can also do it in the Personalizer. Under Check-In, there should be a box with your name. Click on Dietary Restrictions and you'll get a list of the common ones to check.
  21. I'm sad that Ocean Terrace doesn't have the Crab Margarita anymore. I don't do sushi but liked those!
  22. Sorry, I read it as you meant $30 total for cruise vs $40 per day...
  23. I don't think the wi-fi price is any different whether purchased precruise or onboard. Be aware the cost is per day.
  24. Good to know, we've stayed there a few times, decent place, great location, and the Value Trips price can't be beat!
