For a ship doing only 3-4 day cruises I think Radiance is a good fit for Long Beach. She has taken over for the Inspiration and the Imagination on this route. I like the sleek public room interiors after the $200 million overhaul of Radiance. The two story main dining room and the lido dining room are bright and inviting while the same spaces, Bacchus MDR and lido dining room on Miracle are bat cave dark. Here Carnival Radiance is seen from the bluff overlooking the town of Avalon on Catalina Island.

I thought of that too then I looked at deck 6 plan and it has the warehouse arcade, Club O2 and Circle C on it. I think if the cabin is far aft on deck 6 it may be fine. If not, then it's a push between the two decks re: kids and kid related activities.

Yeah, that's a high rate compared to my new booking I made today. I booked a 4 day Baja California cruise on Radiance for December 2024 as a solo in a PT cabin with two portholes for $395.00 incl port fees and taxes and it comes with $50 OBC.

Yes, I've read it varies by ship on when the crew get a chance to shut them down at night. Last I heard the machines are open at 11am. On the Vista Class ships, like the Panorama, who really needs soft serve when the far superior gelato is served at every lunch with two different varieties available each day?

The Swirls says 24 HRS. Anymore, you'd need a weekly update for accuracy the way things are changing @ Carnival.

I enjoyed the late night snacks last year on Panorama on several sailings. They had a grilled tomato sandwich served on french bread toast that was killer yet not too heavy before bedtime.

It's old, Swirls is listed as 24hrs and that's not correct so I'm thinking the late night snacks is outdated info as well.

It's 32 miles to the ship, does Carnival offer a shuttle from JW?

Not going to happen for years if ever. The City of Long Beach is stuck with it and would like someone to take it over but the future is grim.

Just last month I checked My Offers and saw the rate for a cabin. I opened another Chrome browser without signing in to Carnival and the same cabin was there for the same sailing for $15 less than offered to my VIFP account. Not specific to Tom's situation perhaps but I'm adding this as an FYI to all.

That fabric always reminds me when I was a boy we would watch cartoons and Disney films in the theater most afternoons aboard the S.S. United States. Sometimes I wonder if Carnival's designers used America's last ocean liner for inspiration. Have fun in PV today 🙂

Look to the right of Liverpool and set back a bit from the main road. It's there. Good, you're on the good side of the basin. On the south side you have to walk through a long maze of indoor shops before you get outside.

We each grab a 12 pack of Coke Light and usually see crew we know there shopping.

Good Morning, Is the ship on the north or south side of the basin today? I see Princess has a ship in port with you and I'd to get an idea of which side of the basin Panorama could be on next month when I sail. The north side is nearer to Walmart 🙂
