  1. Is there a separate sea day breakfast menu from the sea day brunch menu or are you referring to the lido buffet breakfast?
  2. We'll be boarding January 14th for our 10th cruise aboard Panorama and it has always been a happy ship so we agree with the OP on that completely. Now we wait for December 29th to select our arrival time...
  3. Yes, of course. The article I read yesterday said one of the Americans killed was riding on an excursion tour bus that was fired into multiple times. The man killed was a leader in the NAACP assigned to Arlington, Va. We were assigned duty in Bermuda by the U.S. Navy when the British Governor Sir Richard Sharples was assassinated in Hamilton. Islands have crime like other places as you say. Thanks again
  4. Thanks. So is the cruise port on another island than the island where Grace Bay and Kew Town are located?
  5. Could you please explain to those of us who haven't been where The Dockyard mentioned in the article is? The other island and not GT?
  6. We tried using it in 2019. There were 4 empty, used water pitchers on a table and the air was stuffy from poor ventilation so we left and sat comfortably in the main area. YMMV
  7. The assigned arrival time is when you are allowed to enter the terminal. The "perk" is after you are in the terminal and through security where suite guests go to their line and are served first, then plat and diamonds are called from their line to the check in at the counter before the other line for all others waiting to check in are called up. It operates like the separate lines at guest services on the ships. There is the plat and diamond line and another line for all others.
  8. We saw people seated there last month but it was not reserved for Platinum/Diamond guests. I should have made this clear in my earlier post here. Yes, the lounge was open but no it was not reserved for plat and diamonds.
  9. The lounge wasn't open last month when we were there but there has been a line for plat/dia check in since March. The line is after you enter the terminal building and you have cleared through security and the x-ray machines.
  10. Yes, we noticed the switch to turkey bacon when pork bacon first went to every other day availability. We're glad to see the Veggie Burger is listed now. It has been available on request but now it will hold pride of place with other good options on the new menu.
  11. The BLT was made with turkey bacon just as it was on the room service menu. The addition of the word " Pork " Bacon is used to identify the change on the new menu.
  12. Very true. some eggheads here learn that not even in Mexico are soft boiled eggs peeled 🙂
  13. The electrical cords going over the ceiling remind me of when I arrive in my Carnival cabin and I'm setting up my water pik machine.
  14. No, not new. I started a thread about this new verbiage in the passenger contract that we all sign in order to travel on Carnival ships on August 26th.
  15. Judging by the post after yours, there aren't always 3 lines at Port Canaveral.
  16. We've sailed from Long Beach 10 times since last October and our arrival time has been checked each time. Long Beach impresses us as being bettered managed than other ports.
  17. i only use the escalator, the elevator is very small and there can be a line of people even without scooters and wheelchairs waiting to use the elevator.
  18. OP, to answer for Long Beach specifically everyone gets on the line outdoors at the dome. No, it is not a long line due to the staggered arrival times. The staff outside the dome will check your arrival time before admitting you to the dome. The outside line is quick then once inside and past the x-ray security check stations you will see the sign for platinum guests ahead and above you.
  19. I'm sorry this happened to you and yours. It reads to me like it was the kitchen staff that was the cause of the delays. You're right about the app reservation announcements needing to be realistic in the timing and not seating people just because there are vacant tables. Restaurant management should have been aware of the kitchen issue and not seated guests like it was business as usual with the kitchen in the weeds.
  20. We've actually enjoyed cheeses in the buffet that were an unintended upgrade because the supplier (Sysco) was out of the spec cheese usually ordered. I asked a Sous Chef if the excellent cheese was now standard and he explained the reason it was being served. In this case rather than do without cheddar cheese for that week the Panorama's food manager chose to pay more for a higher quality cheese that was available.
  21. It's not hard to understand. People don't care and it's a shame.
