  1. No, one drink and on the last sea day only unless this has changed like so many other things lately.
  2. We're hoping the second lobster tails will still come out unasked 🙂
  3. They will, which is why we paid $5.85 per 12 - pack.
  4. Big eaters will avoid the $5 charge by having their third entrée in the lido buffet.
  5. $4.95 is the price before they add the .90 cents service charge.
  6. Yikes, on the 18th of this month I paid $5.85 per 12-pack. That's a huge leap to $9.95 per 12 - pack which is the listed price now.
  7. Late night snacks were discontinued by Carnival some months ago, looking out for the planet no doubt.
  8. This dates me but I paid $8 a carton for Marlboro in the box on the Jubilee in '88.
  9. The announcement leaves a barn door open here for more changes: " If we see a menu item that is not popular or think of a better way to serve a food item that can reduce waste, we owe it to our planet to make the right change, while still assuring you plenty of food and tasty treats." Mmmhmmm.... 'Lobster wasn't being ordered as much since we moved it to the second elegant night so we have removed it from the MDR menu unless you order from the steakhouse offerings in the MDR.'
  10. We sail on the 5th so we just got in under the wire, not that it matters. I've never ordered two entrees for myself much less three. Now, three apps is another story 🙂 We can live with this.
  11. It was the same for us on the Panorama and on two separate cruises. Only the steakhouse had host and service staff with attitudes of superiority. If they think all that much about themselves they need to rethink their decision to work on mass market cruise lines serving the North American market.
  12. It's on all of them and has been this way since the re-start of Carnival cruising. It is part of Carnival's wanting to have the staff going into the cabins as little as possible, so they say. This could change at any time so ymmv.
  13. Once we made platinum we go to the assigned area at the early time and walk right off. Long Beach has been especially good for us. Often we are in our car in 20 minutes from the time we start leaving the Vista dining on Deck 4, which is the usual meeting place on Panorama for platinum self-debark.
  14. We're on this sailing as well. Good to know about fall back of clocks. Gee, this thread is almost as long as the rollcall here on CC 🙂
  15. You are correct. When we called for service on our unit on the Radiance the person who called back to the cabin said it was not a refrigerator but a cooler. When the replacement cooler started up it kept our beverages colder than the unit we reported.
  16. That's what they should have said to the OP but their legal team has told Carnival not to comment. Typical corporate legal advice.
  17. The majority of the galley management and staff are from South Asia (India) so there's that. The American south? No.
  18. The breakfast rocks are identical no matter which ship we have sailed. They must come pre-baked in a bag in a box from Sysco.
  19. That's the rub. People say they wish there were casinos on airplanes 😉
  20. Since 1988 neither have I. Perhaps they are referring to the alternate days of salmon/ham on the Eggs Benedict?
  21. This happened to us once and the waiter must have seen our surprised faces and he said: " It was faster to bring these. "
  22. It was about 10 years ago that Carnival announced that a "starter portion" of the evening's pasta was available for guests who requested it. We hopped on board and now order like this: app, pasta, entrée, salad or soup after main course, dessert and coffee. We're in no rush so YTD works for us with the number of courses we prefer. We have dual citizenship and still order salad after the entrée because that's how we were raised.
  23. Thanks for this reminder. We always check before we leave the ship. Ship happens.
