  1. Le Petite chef usually has two menus. My DH will not eat fish and he takes the substitute menu. They offer alternatives to the scheduled menu. While I find the food good, we really go for the show. We go once per sailing on each ship.
  2. I have both vegans and pescaterians in my family- as well as carnivores! Not fun planning meals- however on a cruise- they all find food to eat. We do travel in suites, so luminae has been wonderful, and enjoy the speciality restaurants. We haven't had any real problems.
  3. We book "prime time" . So I never saw a decrease in prices. Only increases!
  4. However they have great restaurants on the Edge class ships. Especially love Eden
  5. We enjoyed Johnny Rockets burgers on the Royal ships. But you have to pay additional for one.
  6. I would try to find better things to eat when on a cruise then a burger. While I enjoy a good hamburger from time to time, not from the Mast grill.
  7. We enjoy the Riverside Hotel on Los Olas Blvd. Lots to do and see. Many dining options. The free shuttles take you from terminal to terminal- We prefer Uber. We want the minute we arrive at the hotel to be the beginning of a great vacation. We do not want a clean well located hotel and take an uber to the pier . Really not that much more money for a better hotel vs. a no frills one.Sets the tone for a wonderful trip.
  8. We use the drycleaning and laundry service on the ship. We never bring linen clothes as they wrinkle like crazy. Also wrinkle release sprays. As peviously stated Irons and steamers not allowed. Fire hazard.
  9. Edge class has the most specialty options. We would take different dining packages for thirty fdays. Probably 3 10 day b/3/bs. M class less specialty options. S class especially silhouette and reflection, more options
  10. We prefer the Concierge class with a dining package. Not fans of blu or the persian garden. Find other in room perks a joke. However, we love the retreat and if move up to a sky suite affordable, try that. The lounge, sun deck and luminae worth it.
  11. We found luminae food to be good- but definately prefer the specialty restaurants. We still manage to overeat and gain weight as I am sure many people do! More then enough choices and food to eat!
  12. We were on the Edge when it was just a few weeks old. Had a wonderful experience- I would suggest that you try the Apex or Beyond- Newer ships. The apex was perhaps the best cruise we have ever taken. Ship beautiful! The suite lounge and pool deck wonderful. Staff 5 star service. Loved the specialty restaurants, especially Eden. We will try the beyond. We like newish ships on Celebrity and Royal. We also sailed on the summit and enjoyed the cruise- no frills, but good service.
  13. I think that if you bring a stroller- leave it in your cabin- I also think it isn't safe to leave dirty food trays in the hallway- the cabin attendant will clear when the room is cleaned- Why are people so selfish? If you want- when you are finished call room service and they will remove the tray.
  14. Following. Love the Silly. Sailing on her in January! The lawn club grill is our favorite restaurant. Enjoy the Martini bar also. Counting the days! Enjoy your cruise and thank you for sharing.
  15. Checked again- rates the same- insane. Probably the only real specials is if you booked an inside cabin and want to upgrade to a balcony.
  16. Well looks like I will stay put! We have previously bid on other cruises , but the rates to upgrade with this cruise are insane. Imo as long as we have suite perks that is great
  17. Ship: Silhouette Length of Cruise: 9 Cruise Sail Date: 01/02/24 Date email offer received: 10/10/23 Captain’s Club Tier Elite Plus Booked through Celebrity Direct OR via TA: Celebrity-moved to TA Current Cabin: SS1 Bid? Yes/No: No If YES - Bidding Details: Cabin Categories Bid Offer: No Notification Date: - Accepted / Rejected - General Comments Penthouse: $2500. Royal suite :$1500. Celebrity Suite :$1000. AQ sky suite :$1250. SS Suite Sunset: $1200. Horizon Suite-$1300 The above rates are crazy! IMO the only real move would be to a Royal Suite- but I wouldn't even consider an additional $1500. pp. All rates above are pp!
  18. Have never sailed on the Beyond, but was on the Apex b/2/b in January- It was perhaps the best celebrity cruise we have taken- we have taken many 35 celebrity cruises. Don't miss Eden.
  19. While I love the reflection, the Ascent would definately be my choice. Have been on the Edge and Apex, both fabulous as I am surre the Ascent is.
  20. Having sailed at least 25 times on Royal, I must say the old ships like the adventure of the seas, lack the amenities of the newer ships. The oasis class and newer ships have wonderful suite lounges and decks. A big difference. I will not sail on any old Royal ship again.
  21. Wearing the same shoes day and night not very healthy. Best to change up your shoes- another reason not to stay in sneakers.
  22. I heard two american tourists have been taken as hostages.
