  1. Not going unti jan. Saw nice reviews on YouTube. Worth a try
  2. We find that if you transfer to a TA, you get the benefits the TA offers in addition to any perk from the cruise line. Always best to book as early as possible for a better rate. Make sure you TA gives onboard credit and other perks- Some do not. We have used good TA's and some that don't even give you anything.
  3. I use a lanyard easy for me. It comes with a plastic case for your seapass card. No need to make a hole in it. We had wrist bands on Royal- they were not reliable.
  4. thanks all for your responses. I really think the best way for us will be the new train. They have porter service which we need because of luggage we bring and we are senior citizens. So if we travel first class on the bright line seems the most cost effective and practical choice. Have to convience my DH of that!
  5. We have the unlimited dining package. As soon as we board, we go to a kiosk for restaurant reservations. Sometimes we go the the suite concierge to assist. Now that butlers are really not available, we also go to one speciality restaurant and they book all for us.
  6. While all three ships are great, I agree the Silhouette and Reflection are the best as you have the Porch and Lawn Club Grill as options. I actually like the Silhouette more then the Reflection as the sky lounge is larger and less passengers. However, non compare to our recent Apex cruise- The E class are the best.
  7. I know. But the train, first class isn’t so cheap. Uber thus far seems the best. But looking for better options. Thanks
  8. We will be sailing on the Silhouette in Jan. We need to go to Disney world after the cruise- we have decided a car service would work best. Any recommendations? Have also posted on the Fort Lauderdale site. We can take an uber, but want to know of any private reasonably priced reliable car service. Thanks
  9. We had an accessible sky suite on an S class ship. The room is larger, but the bathroom is really not for a person not in a wheel chair. The sink is low, the mirror is low, and the shower had no lip so the floor flooded. Also, no real bathroom storage- if you can change try to- either on board or via a call. Good luck.
  10. My DH and i will be coming on a cruise in January. We want to take a car service to Disney world after the cruise. Any recommendations for a good car service. We would appreciate all recommendations
  11. We did it on the Apex. It was great. We were in a sky suite and no problem booking the same cabin. As long as you book in advance, no problem We did get a discount.
  12. Water bottles, Bottle of champagne, lunch from a limited menu Fruit platter. If you have a drink plan, or want to pay, the attendant will bring for you. We love them on sea days. However only on S class ships. The Edge class ships location of the cabanas isn't good. Through a public hallway. I felt like I was in a cage at the zoo- with people looking at me.
  13. I have a niece with a very severe peanut and other food allergies. She and her parents always walk around with epipens. Sometimes her reaction is so severe, that she requires an ambulance to take her to the ER. So cross contamination is always a danger when eating out. A cruise ship is no exception. You must notify the ship staff and physician when boarding of any life threatening allergies.
  14. It is a gamble to take a guarantee. Only time to get a good location is if you book a true suite. If not, a suite guarantee will almost definately get you a junior suite-
  15. My favorite restaurant is Eden. We go at least once per sailing. We enjoy the roof top food- but the location isn't great- noisy and can be too sunny or windy depending on the time of day- the Lawn club grill on the Reflection and Silhouette better IMO. The steak house is good- but nothing special. Book before you board for the best times.
  16. Le Petite chef usually has two menus. My DH will not eat fish and he takes the substitute menu. They offer alternatives to the scheduled menu. While I find the food good, we really go for the show. We go once per sailing on each ship.
  17. I have both vegans and pescaterians in my family- as well as carnivores! Not fun planning meals- however on a cruise- they all find food to eat. We do travel in suites, so luminae has been wonderful, and enjoy the speciality restaurants. We haven't had any real problems.
  18. We book "prime time" . So I never saw a decrease in prices. Only increases!
  19. However they have great restaurants on the Edge class ships. Especially love Eden
  20. We enjoyed Johnny Rockets burgers on the Royal ships. But you have to pay additional for one.
  21. I would try to find better things to eat when on a cruise then a burger. While I enjoy a good hamburger from time to time, not from the Mast grill.
  22. We enjoy the Riverside Hotel on Los Olas Blvd. Lots to do and see. Many dining options. The free shuttles take you from terminal to terminal- We prefer Uber. We want the minute we arrive at the hotel to be the beginning of a great vacation. We do not want a clean well located hotel and take an uber to the pier . Really not that much more money for a better hotel vs. a no frills one.Sets the tone for a wonderful trip.
  23. We use the drycleaning and laundry service on the ship. We never bring linen clothes as they wrinkle like crazy. Also wrinkle release sprays. As peviously stated Irons and steamers not allowed. Fire hazard.
