  1. Will you be there in the evening? Watch the light show in the Marina Bay.
  2. A few places you may or may not have seen last year: Little India Kampong Gelam, the Malayan district and of course the European area with eg. the Anglican and the Catholic Cathedrales, the Parliament building, the national art museum and more
  3. I certainly would prefer Rome. So many cruise passengers go an excursion that gives them only 5 hours in Rome, thus 24 hours are plenty to enjoy. Maybe you could pick a hotel in a different location than after the cruise.
  4. Thank you for your QG perspective of the cruise I experienced in Britannia. How was your embarkation and debarkation process?
  5. Does anybody know an email adress where I could direct some feedback to, in lieu of the survey?
  6. Good for you all I did not get any survey for my recent QE cruise.
  7. In my cabin on the QE all of the bottles were large and standing by the sink. The size caused in so far a problem that only one bottle fitted into the holder in the shower, not both shower gel and shampoo. Still, I prefer the stand alone moveable bottles over ones fixed to the wall. These cry to loud cost saving cheap hostel.
  8. There were plenty of taxis at the port when we were there.
  9. That is interesting. How did you get thos kind of OBC? The time I habe heard about refundable OBC was, when somebody had actually out cash/real money in before the cruise
  10. I had the streaming package for a couple of days on my recent QE cruise. Internet worked well allaround the ship besides the balcony for emails and reading. Yet, even it is supposed to work for this application, too, video chats via whats app did not work at all.
  11. Admittedly I have the unfair advantage of having been there just a week or so ago. I did not join the queues for the shuttle bus ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  12. I have no personal knowledge as my cruise ended just the day the new world started, yet there are current information on the open dining thread.
  13. It was basically right there close to the port exit, somewhat in the same compound, when we were there.
  14. I am so sorry for you. Just to emphasize your words: It' s a shame.
  15. Hey, they did even show the "Alfie Boe" on TV ๐Ÿ˜‰
  16. Red wine will wait for you on your table, white wine in a cooler close by, both to be served by the sommelier or wine steward. Yet, it will to be seen how open dinning interferes.
  17. The only place I know with a dome next to a cruise pier: Long Beach next to the Queen Mary.
  18. Indeed. One wonders why the Carnival management decided to deny its TA passengers this experience.
  19. I have done it only in the opposite direction: From Valparaiso to the bus station in Santiago and than the next bus to the airport. The connection was easy, running very frequently, yet be warned the bus serving the airport was strangely a rather normal city bus, thus not really good for travelling with luggage.
  20. Thank you for this first hand report.
  21. As it is his good right, isn't it? As stated above, a five course dinner is just the normal set up if one chooses just one of each of the sections per menu. It is even in the Cunard information available to everybody, "The five course evening menu changes daily and features...", thus everybody could know that this is what to expect. To the OP: Do not worry, it is absolutely normal to have several courses. Also, the stewards are normally quite good in adjusting the way and timing of service such that, at least on a sociable table, different numbers of courses do not become an issue.
  22. Thanks for sharing your cruise. Enjoy.
  23. @andlep, @possum52, @JeffroK, Thank yor for all the information!
