  1. At least, they (not the burritos company) don't blame you as a "cow" contributing to global warming (or climate change, or whatever the current tag of this hunt is).
  2. Please don't ruin a person's imagination. We are all fool one way or another: for example, we've been paying $550 annually for years for Chase Preferred credit card for have the airport lounges access through the "Priority Pass". Lately, it became almost useless, because the majority lounges don't accept it anymore (especially, in US). So, again, let one enjoy a foolish sense of being in an elite (exceptional) "Noble" group.
  3. As opposed to any other areas of the planet of Earth. I would hide in Eden on the Celebrity Edge class, so I would be granted protection (being shielded from any illness).
  4. If anyone is not comfortable with multiple aspects on a cruise, depending on what those items are, it's ether the cruise is not the best choice of a holiday, or a cruise line needs to improve in those areas. It's so sad that some individuals (I believe they are in marginal group) point fingers and "push" people around (thinking it's a way of criticizing) these days. What happened to manners? To make sure I will not be a rage target now, here is my thoughts on nagging: I decided a few years ago not to complain (even in my head) about anything during a cruise unless it's a matter of a really very low comfort (like not a working air conditioner on a Caribbean cruise, and even then, I would not complain but rather politely address the issue asking to either fix the air conditioner or move us in a different available cabin in our or higher category like it occurred on our Paul Gauguin cruise a few years ago when temperature in our ocean-view cabin was 82F on an embarkation day). As I repeatedly say, on a cruise every minute counts (so, complaining is ruining those precious minutes of enjoyment).
  5. That's what we've been doing, too.
  6. Hmmm... If all those people who come 1 hour earlier will come at 5:25 pm instead, the outcome would still be the same - the entire place will be seated at essentially the same time. One cannot expect couples to come in 3 min intervals each, and a cruise line is not accountable for how people choose to arrive for dinner at any restaurant on the ship (whether it is main, Blu, or Luminae on Celebrity, or whatever else on other cruise lines).
  7. and yet, cleaning on the ships is not closely comparable with other places except hospitals. If sterile cleaning approach is implemented, ships would start the next embarkation at least 1 day later after disembarkation.
  8. I always compare aging with a matured fine red wine. I agree with you on the Edge class design and style in general. The Eclipse design reminds me a little of that, too. I mentioned Eden, because it was my hiding place on the Edge on our 2 cruises (I spent there every night for hours and also more time during day on sea days - the first cruise was Transatlantic crossing in April-May 2019). We also liked Thermal Suites going there every day for couple hours. In general we prefer Celebrity from all main non-luxury cruise lines.
  9. The Celebrity Edge class is so contemporary (Eden, the Club, and so on)! So, it's the opposite I've been reading a lot on multiple threads - nicely aged people complain about how annoying the Edge class ships are for them.
  10. On a cruise every minute counts (unless you are on a 100-something days world cruise).
  11. Actually, it's relatively easy: eliminate all superfluous matters and keep the rest. PS. Everything is in our head.
  12. Thank you for your reply. What cruise line do you consider luxury if any? If not Regent, Seabourn, Viking, there are not that many candidates (like SilverSea, Ponant, and Scenic), and all of them are similar or less assumed luxury to Regent.
  13. The real problem is people complain about all cruise lines (I don't know whether there is an exception for one or two of them) for hundreds of reason from "where is my night chocolate on a pillow?" or "a steward brought a chocolate covered strawberry - yes, singular, just one!") to "this is a luxury cruise line; so, I expect impeccable service!" - is there such a matter as a flawless provision? Even surgent might make a mistake. So, we decided not to complain at all, because an alternative would be not to cruise.
  14. We had our first Seabourn cruise on March 17-29 (Brazilian Coast and Amazon expedition); the cruise was very good, and food was the best (including food unlimited 24-hour black caviar) among all our cruise during 24 years!
  15. So, it sounds as eating for < 2 hours "forces" you to entertainment. Eat 20 minutes and go to sleep (or whatever)- just make sure not to turn a TV on in your cabin.
  16. To pay a few extra thousands per person just for a bed’s cover to be removed?! It’s better to get a few more cruises instead.
  17. French onion soup might be so much different from the best to horrible (including Regent and even Ponant - yes, Ponant - the French cruise line) - I tried dozens of variations, and only a few times it was a little better than average. I prefer escargot every night (it was perfect on most cruises).
  18. Very nice! The best place on the Pursuit (a Venture's replica) will be the hot tub on deck 9 - a gorgeous overview especially when you stand on top of it near the edge; in Antarctica it would be my spot to warm up a few times a day!
  19. Finally? That’s the only question! And, obviously, it’s rhetorical.
  20. Making crayfish movements (just explaining what I mean - going sideways and backward in a business is awkward and eventually leads to stagnation.
  21. actually, a lot more - it is $20 for up to Club balcony Suite (it's $800 for a 10-night cruise for a family of 4 - an inside cabin cruise fare might be for such an amount per person) and $25 for other suites on NCL (it was officially increased on January 1 for our August cruise).
  22. This comment is irrelevant (regardless of whether it seems right) to the topic of this thread. It doesn't discuss a reduction of an extent of gratuities for the same volume of service; it's about a level of "donation" to a crew for a lesser provision.
  23. Oh, boy! Sorry to hear that. That is not acceptable situation whatsoever! No way! I would go all the way up to bring this matter to a proper resolution. It just doesn’t make any sense! The cruise line must do what I wrote originally without any hesitation.
