Oh, I see. Of, course, everyone is different. I don't think it's a risk; it's more like a preference of multiple items to be considered: a ship's size (some like bigger/some like smaller), a number of activities and their type, food variety (Seabourn, for example, offers unlimited 24-hour black caviar) and quality, itinerary (small ship typically offer unique ones unreachable by bigger ships), passenger "category" (smaller ship typically have quieter cruisers so to speak (no children)).

I'm not sure I understand: change what? a risk of what?

For this price (or less) you may get a Regent, Ponant, Scenic, Seabourn, and other luxury cruise lines' cruise, and the entire ship will all luxury accommodations (not just some area like a Retreat in Celebrity) will be at your dispose.

So, is this a TA fault? - it's so funny!!! I would "force" the cruise line to reinstall a cruise if it mistakenly cancelled that cruise.

Upon “revolutionizing” this ship, both female/male saunas (included in fare) are gone (replaced by additional cabins). Does anyone know whether thermal suites are appealing? We used them on other ships, and certain units were good while some others were not hot enough (regardless of me asking personnel to increase hit). We will be on this ship in March 2025 in an Aqua cabin, and we use saunas every day.

Overpaid and RCCL says tough luck, you paid too soon.

It's always in discussion. Committing sometimes 3 years ahead (and giving sometimes a huge deposit amount - certain cruise lines collect 25%) and realizing a couple weeks prior to a cruise that a lates fare is thousands less than yours! Or waiting until last moment for a cruise you like and seeing a substantial price increase! Or being happy by booking well in advance (I booked my last cruise I came back from in June 2019; there were 30% not sold cabins 2 weeks prior to embarkation; nevertheless, the cruise increased price by 25% vs my price for the same cabin category stating that that price was a 20% discount promotion). Decisions, decisions... -

Returning to the same ports multiple times?
kirtihk replied to Interestedcruisefan's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
It's very nice to explore Lisbon (we were there 5 times on cruises and land tours); food is exceptional - each restaurant is unique with taste like homemade in almost each of them (fish is the best)! -
Hmmm,.. Oh! - Go and enjoy your 6 cruises, of course! Voyage, Voyage!

Regent First Timer Onboard - Reasonable Expectations?
kirtihk replied to D&L Thomas's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
On our recent Regent cruise (came back on January 5) on one of diner nights we were actually asked by the host whether we would like to join another couple for a dinner. So, I guess, it depends on the ship, perhaps, or just not always happens. -
I've just booked 12-day, March 3, 2025, East Asia on Millenium cruise, and my TA gave us his group pricing for refundable Aqua with Always included for $400 less per cabin than non-refundable Aqua basic (Celebrity on-line) and extra $100 OBC, and Distinctive Voyages package (a host on the ship, a group gathering party, and, most importable, a free excursion in one of ports of call).

So, if promo comes, say, couple months prior to a cruise date, cabins would be always available for any given cruise?
-
I’m new to Viking. If I booked a cruise yesterday and see a promo today for that cruise, if I call to apply that promo, would I be able to that (cancel and rebook or modify the existing booking) without the $200 penalty, with $200 penalty (in my case actually it would be $50 only because of $25 pp refused deposit promotion), or not able to do it at all?

Price dropped over 50% after final payment
kirtihk replied to Pacific Sandy's topic in Princess Cruises
For some of my previous cruises besides a cruise fare, just port charges alone for 10-14 day cruises were in a range of $700-900 and then $400-600 tax totaling $1,100-1,500. For my 12-day last cruise to Brazil (I came back a week ago) port charge was $816, and tax was $550. So, it's funny to see complains about total cruise prices discussed in this thread ("several sites list inside $118, balcony $199 and Mini-suite $299"). -

Nice! The beach picture is exactly where we will stay across this Thursday prior to our 12-day Amazon River on Seabourn Venture cruise. And we will be on Pursuit on the 16-day Norwegian cruise starting in June.

"of course it would be stressful to call NCL just to be told to call the airline. " - perhaps, I was clear 2 times with my point: I was writing the opposite - if air was booked through a cruise line and you call an airline, the airline would tell you to call the cruise line that booked your flights, and that is stressful, because as I wrote you would have much less flexibility of rebooking available preferrable flights, since you would just rely on a cruise line person without a chance to plea for the best flight, for example, perhaps, even from a different airline which sometimes is allowed in these days (a few years ago it was a standard procedure when no flights were available on the originally booked airline).
