  1. I like all S class ships. I like Silhouette the best, I love Lawn Club Grill and don’t like the Sunset Bar on Reflection and don’t care for the higher passenger load.
  2. I prefer the newer Royal class ships to the older ones. We spent 2 weeks on Sky sailing Norway up to the Artic Circle last August and really enjoyed the ship and itinerary.
  3. Check airfare prices. We found airfare to Vancouver was twice the price as air to Seattle.
  4. If the martini bar keeps the smaller martini glasses you can ask for your martini to be made in the smaller glass since you aren't sure you will like the drink. Then when you find one you like have them use the bigger glasses used for the premium package.
  5. Just wait until you're on board and can ask your questions directly.
  6. Last year we did Sky Princess Norway to the Arctic Circle, not Midnight Sun it was August and this year we did Iceland. I would go back to Norway but don’t feel the need to go back to Iceland. So I recommend the Sky to Norway.
  7. I think it's different for each ship. I've been able to book specialty dining for 2 cruises in 2025, but not yet for my cruise in 2024.
  8. In January we needed proof of covid immunization due to our stop in Colombia.
  9. The number of choices has been reduced. Our recent 15 nights on Silhouette were out of Southampton which provided us with an extra entree choice and 3 additional sides that I believe aren't normally available. We ate in the MDR 10 of those nights and I picked the wrong entree only once that was a pasta dish of rotini with BBQ sauce on it and a couple pieces of chicken. The following night I ordered the pasta choice for that night and it was very good with a white sauce. I think many of the entrees I enjoyed were the additional choices due to sailing from the UK including; calf liver, pork schnitzel, butter chicken and fish and chips. We also loved the cheesy cauliflower offered as a side and tried to remember to order it every night. Without those additional choices I would have struggled to find something to order.
  10. I love any S class, but I like Silhouette the most because it has Lawn Club Grill without the extra cabins that Reflection has.
  11. All the NE US has a school break the week of President's Day, I know this effects the population of kids on cruises out of Florida, not sure if it effects those out of NOLA and TX. We always book the Vibe for the extra fee on NCL. Our room was still serviced twice a day on our last NCL cruise in January, next time will be only once a day, not looking forward to that. The Regal Princess has a nice adult only pool, Retreat Pool, no extra charge.
  12. Celebrity specifically cited the goal of more families on board when they redeployed the Constellation for 2025. Quoted from my notification below. At Celebrity Cruises, we are passionate about providing award-winning vacation experiences. As we position our brand for continued success, we constantly seek opportunities to elevate our already incredible offerings. With this goal in mind, Celebrity Cruises will be redeploying Celebrity Constellation in January 2025, with shorter itineraries to better serve family travelers out of Tampa, Florida. As a result, your clients' Celebrity Constellation Mardi Gras sailing, embarking on March 1, 2025 will be necessarily adjusted, as reflected below.
  13. I’d be fine with a side view from the Magic Carpet, I’ve been on two canal cruises with helipad access and never went down there. We did have an aft balcony on one though.
  14. Is the Magic Carpet open while going through the locks? That seems like the place to be.
  15. cruisedeckplans has a Youtube video of the room opposite 14256 that shows the balcony.
  16. We sailed Century out of San Diego once obviously quite a few years ago. I agree it's a much easier port than LA.
  17. The tricky part is this summer they put drink packages on sale at 50% off for sailings primarily until the end of the year. I don't remember seeing such a deep price cut in the past. Since I don't care about wifi it would likely be cheaper to book cruise only then buy the drink package on sale and pay the gratuities. But will they continue to put the drink packages on sale in the future only time will tell.
  18. Not just you. Mine used to work but for about the last couple weeks it hasn’t worked. If I sign in I can still access.
  19. I guess that tracks with recent changes
  20. Radiance class, sailing Brilliance again next year, this time to Alaska. Lots of glass and easy to get around.
  21. Celebrity increased our bill more than $60 per person. So far Princess hasn't increased our bill for a cruise with them stopping in the Bahamas. Per my TA Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are the only cruise lines passing the added expense on to those already booked.
