  1. We've done a Miami SBS that were docked next to each other and just walked. Miami is more of a straight line with little for obstacles. I've read accounts of people that used the shuttle at Port Everglades and some were fine with it and others thought it was a big hassle and wished they had cabbed it.
  2. Many different cruise lines offer the same excursions. If I want more detail about an excursion I check to see if Princess offers the same excursion, Princess provides much more detail, timing for each segment of the excursion and details regarding the vehicles used.
  3. It doesn’t matter if the ship hasn’t visited a foreign port. If they allow him to board they will be transporting him from one US port to another US port. It would only be legal if your cruise goes to the ABC islands. Or Colombia.
  4. Does the cruise originate in NJ? If so they likely won’t allow him to join in Florida, that would be a PVSA violation to board in Florida and disembark in NJ.
  5. This is not true. Any change in ships will satisfy PVSA.
  6. Dining would be $876 assuming they don't raise the price from now, remember they add those gratuities when purchasing a dining package.
  7. It's quieter, has nice cushy loungers and sofas. Has a bar and table service lunch. Don't remember what kind of water is in the pool. If there are kids in a suite there will be kids.
  8. For me the Beyond could maybe be worth it since I will not cruise in an infinite veranda I'd rather just have a window if that were the case. And the Retreat amenities on Beyond (E class ) are nicer than S or M class. But at the rate things are going who knows what the amenities of the Retreat will be in 2025.
  9. How do you measure the loss of the Retreat Sun Deck and Lounge. Did you include the cost of upgrading the drink package to premium for CC? And the suite also offers better wifi doesn't it? And the size of the room and an actual balcony.
  10. My guess is that it goes back to when the happy hour was held in a venue and needed to be staffed. The first day of a cruise has so much extra work that they didn't have the staff to offer it. Now that it's done at the actual bars that wouldn't apply much any more. But if they never did it before why would they need to start now?
  11. We have late seating at 8:30, bourbon tasting is at 10:00. Can we make this?
  12. I have heard of people disembarking early in Naples, so I don’t think Italy has a law similar the PVSA in the US so catching up to the ship in Naples shouldn’t be a problem.
  13. And if you're like me, in January I'm losing a butler and my fare went up since we stop in the Bahamas🤑😵
  14. In the UK they probably include gratuities in the price. In the US the gratuities are added as an extra line item before payment.
  15. When you get to review and pay it says refundable deposit, so for that one it doesn’t cost more.
  16. I’ve always seen it at the end, where you can choose insurance, dining time and then refundable, then click review & pay. Did you get that far?
  17. Our port taxes are increasing about $60 per person for a 6 night cruise.
  18. The only time I haven’t seen a refundable deposit option is for cruises past final payment. What dates are you looking at?
  19. I prefer the Lawn Club Grill to the Hot Glass Show, so would pick Reflection. Even though longer is usually better I don't care for Grand Cayman so the extra day doesn't entice.
  20. Summit (M class) is built on the same hull as Radiance class but less glass. If you don't like Radiance class you probably won't like Summit.
  21. We’re booked on a Vancouver round trip next year and I’ve found flights to Vancouver are about twice as much as flights to Seattle. If sailing a round trip itinerary I would recommend Seattle. For the best overall experience I recommend one way south bound that visits Glacier Bay.
  22. One thing that I didn't notice mentioned was that pool towels must be checked out on RCL, if not returned you're charged. IT's the only cruise line I've sailed that does that.
  23. There are likely different rules for UK and North America.
  24. The amount of time for a refund to your credit card depends on the card you use. I see my refunds the day following a cancellation. It isn’t Celebrity waiting 7-10 days to refund.
