  1. Which I don’t want to be paying for. But in actuality, how much does the budget include? One portion/day/half the cruisers? So then my cruise fare would include $250 for caviar. More tolerable for me, and I might use $50 or $100 of that.
  2. To fly over the pond, we often get two alone together in an exit row. Sometimes it’s economy plus, sometimes it’s just best available for Mr B’s status on DL. Coming home from Stockholm this July it’s on a 757 (😳) and we couldn't even get aisles across. We’re one row behind one another. Luckily, I’m short and Mr B is thin, so we can survive better than others. We’re now up to spending about .003 of our net worth this year on travel, angter having booked a Crystal for Nov., and we aren’t interested in spending any more for that flight. We are blessed.
  3. Keith, sadly the deck seven staterooms appear to have had their bathtubs turned into showers. I personally hope it isn’t true. Indeed, I think it makes no sense for them to be doing this needless work when they’re rushing beyond belief to get ready for first sail date. I look forward to hearing what you find out, if you’re willing to consult your source with this question.
  4. Thank you for trying to guide me! I actually wanted to request a match for my Celebrity Elite Plus status. I’ll try it again!
  5. Many? You’ve counted?
  6. I’ve tried twice but I get to the part where it asks for my membership card and I’m clueless as to what to provide. I kind of doubt that we’ll ever do Explora, but I certainly will be frustrated,if I failed to do it but don’t get to enjoy the benefits.
  7. One of our Crystal cruise mates always chose those cabins! She did that b/c she’s extremely thrifty. This plan was clearly designed for guests like her. It remains to be seen, if there will be enough of them to have been a 21st business plan. Mr B and I, otoh, preferred to pay a few hundred $$$ more to be mid-ship.
  8. Hi Patty, Yes, you, my treasured trivia teammate. I meant, did you succeed in signing up for status-match on MSC?
  9. Yes, that’s the whole point of it. Originally, it seemed to say the offer of the matching expires on Feb. 28th. Perhaps they’ve extended the offer. I started the process but it was too challenging for me! Patty, did you do it?
  10. Yikes. That’s not funny. I’m trying to think of my second choice.
  11. I don’t think I would go to the bank on the info about fewer drawers. Wasn’t it just a drawing? You may be right. If you’re booking Nov. 2, so am I, and we usually choose Deck Seven. The very modest increase to get a veranda enticed us into 9049. By November, we’ll know about drawer space. I’ll adjust what I pack, if necessary. One extra trip to the guest laundry, plus I’m not particularly picky. Maybe I’ll just use some of my OBC to have Crystal launder some of my things! I wish I lived as close as you do, Ibis!

    Dance Hosts

I guess you’ve all seen that former dance hosts have been invited to register with the company who will be placing four of them on every cruise? I thought that was progress! Evidently reported by a former dance host.
  13. I’m shocked to learn that people sign a contract without having read it. 😳 Thank you for this informative post.
  14. The likelihood of that happening, imho, is zero. I guess I’m a more trusting soul than you are.
  15. So we should presume they don’t even have a third berth available? I hope you figure something out!!!
  16. Bummer, Julie. On Symphony, there are two connecting on Deck Five. I’m guessing you’re looking at Serenity, though.
  17. To FlyerTalker, or anybody else who remembers: Many years ago, one major commercial airline replaced coffee spoons with stirrers. It saved tons of money, and I believe it earned a big bonus for the flight attendant who recommended it. Was that airline AA or UA? Mr B and I are not in agreement.
  18. FlyerTalker, can you please come over to The Bistro thread? I’d like to ask you a question about commercial flying.
  19. That reminder about the chat feature on MVJ is a good one. Thank you!

    Singles/Fares

Never assume anything. Plus I don’t see any connecting singles. I do see one set of connecting ocean views on deck five of Symphony.
  21. Here’s hoping it will work out fine. I wonder if there’s a guest services email you can write to in advance, explaining your details.
  22. Bizarre for your TA not to have received the invoice. Perhaps YOU should try one phone call, and ask to have the invoice sent directly to you. If/when the person at the other end of the phone says no, I think you should ask to confirm the email address they have on file for your TA. Presumably your TA has already done that, perhaps multiple times. But I feel like this warrants acting like a dog with a bone. I can see why you and the TA are frustrated to the nth degree! Hopefully one of you will hit the jackpot soon with a Crystal person who can generate the invoice again.
  23. Roy, welcome back, and take all the time you need, to feel better soon!
  24. Why do you think they can’t deliver? I haven’t seen anybody say they are onboard and can’t get a res. at a specialty restaurant. Perhaps I’m not reading carefully enough.
