  1. If you're wanting some beach and swim time at a very uncrowded beach, have your cat captain sail past the Pitons to Anse I'Vorgne, on the south side of Gros Piton. Crystal clear water, virtually no one on the beach ever, no facilities either really.. It's stunning though, and shallow enough to swim and snorkel around a bit in peace...
  2. OP didn't ask about cabanas in their post... $250 or so in older ships, all day. $499 on Sun. Prices are for 2 in Cabana, not pp.
  3. Only alcoholic drinks count towards the 15 a day Yes, Premier and Plus Cruise Packages include a lot more than All In on Celebrity, etc. Casual dining on Regal will be Alfredo's, Vines, Ocean Terrace Seafood. With premier, unlimited casual dining in those venues.. the Vines charcuterie is fab with a nice wine... Specialty Dining will be Crown Grill, steakhouse, or Sabatini's, Italian style. Both good to very good, not as fancy or upscale or as expensive as Celebrity specialty dining.. Personally, no way I'd book my airfare through Princess EZ Air unless it was a major discount.. I prefer keeping my air under my control.. I VRBO in Southampton, more space, less $$$. And, if my family can't take me to Southampton, I use BlackBerry Cars - especially now with Smith's out of business (they were my go to for LGW - Southampton transfers). Meet and greet and door to door are the name of the game for me! There's bus or train to Southampton also though, both reliable and much more inexpensive.. Have a great time - Regal is my favorite ship with Princess.. you're in for a treat!!
  4. Correct. In theory - she could have the Steamers meal and you could not, and instead get something from the buffet - but whether they'd allow that or not is anyone's guess.
  5. Have you spoken to the head maitre'd? F&B manager? They should be informed about what happened in order to rectify it..
  6. Reserve dining is a section of the MDR on all ships except Sun where it is an actual separate restaurant. It'll be listed in the daily event planner as to where the Reserve dining section will be . The Reserve section has different linens, flowers, menu covers, but same menu, with an additional item or two each night, ie lobster thermidor or lamb chops or a special pasta or such.. Ni reservations needed at all, walkup when ready and tables will be available - usually. Maybe a short 5 minute wait. If you want the same area/table or wait staff every night, just let the maitre'd know. Happy sails.
  7. 20/40 half/full dau, $30 full day if booked for entire cruise. For all ships except Sun. Sun: space available, $79 port day, $99 sea day. Half days currently not an option.
  8. Currently, solely on Sun. Yes it's true
  9. And kwst we forgot, the Plus and Premier Beverage Packages attract the 18% gratuity on the cost This, that $65 per night becomes $77 per night real fast. Or $85 per night for Premier Beverage Package becomes $100 real fast. Yes, the standalone packages can work for a small set of people.. that's why they're offered...
  10. FYI - in case you were unclear, there's no refunds for unused specialty or casual dining. "What if I don’t use the specialty dining or casual dining meals included in my package? The specialty dining credits are available only for your current voyage, are non-refundable if not used and cannot be redeemed for cash" . https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages Good luck demanding some type of refund..
  11. How about overseas, ie Martinique. My documents currently show a 20:00 check-in time. That's ridiculous - 8pm? Sailaway is 23:00. So, we can't even check-in, far less board, til after the entire first day is done? That can't be right....
  12. Your checking account?? How did they get access to that? Did you use a Debit Card attached to your checking account? Are these pending charges or have they cleared your account? Do you have a copy of your folio from aboard?
  13. No you're not entitled to any compensation. If you don't go to an exercise class you're not compensated for that. If you don't eat multiple times at a casual venue, you're not compensated.. and so forth. Yes, I've not been able to use both specialty dinners due to full venues, it didn't even cross my mind to demand compensation for such. I used all sorts of the other things - and that's a risk you take, particularly buying aboard.. Maybe the venues will be full, maybe You're physically challenged and can't use the exercise classes - should you be compensated for that? SMH. No, there's no refund for unused portions.
  14. Yeah, I absolutely wouldn't use Princess transfers from Anchorage airport to CC hotel. Uber or taxi is cheaper, no waiting for others, and door to door... Save the $100+ for excursions, dinner, souvenirs, etc.
  15. Maybe take a gander at the active, multi page thread on the new dining changes, that's been active for several days - lots of info, speculation, thoughts, etc.. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3003226-41324-princess-rolls-out-fleetwide-dining-revolution/
  16. Both are noted as wheelchair accessible. I okay some photos of an aft accessible cabin in the Sun Princess Cabin photos thread.. These two definitely look even larger.
  17. The very last ones do have a slightly larger balcony, and you can look out around the balcony barrier out aft. 10636 would be a standard size balcony, it's 638 that would be very slightly larger, with the angle.
  18. Have you seen the minis on Sun? Unless they get one with the bed by the door, the sofa and bed are right next to each other... No separate space.
  19. Rooms - Sun Princess is different from the others in that all rooms have a sofa. Insides, it's a small ottoman, and the 3rd and 4th berths are fold down beds mounted in the walls - definitely not recommended, unless that's all you can afford. It's right. Really tight. They're smaller than oast Princess ships also Oceanview cabins are essentially the exact same as a Deluxe balcony cabin - just a window instead of a balcony. The third and 4th berths in OV, DB and MS will be the same - flip over sofa single bed and Pullman berth that comes down over it. Ladder does not impede the floor space (much) and doesn't block the balcony (if you're in a D or M). The room layout alternates with bed by window or bed by door..
  20. 14636, Accessible Aft Facing Deluxe Balcony..photos by Kathy Davison.
  21. In case you missed it, there's a multi -page thread discussing this, in depth. With all the attendant details and speculation. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/3003226-41324-princess-rolls-out-fleetwide-dining-revolution/
  22. Deck 14 actually.14647, one of the two aft facing cabins there. Cabin will be virtually the same layout and spacing as the forward deck 9 cabin.
  23. Accessible Deluxe Balcony cabins pics. Hope that helps. Yes, your balcony will be wider than average, as your cabin itself is wider and more spacious.
