    An 'upgrade' is truly in the eyes of the beholder. What HAL offers as an 'upgrade' may not be such a wonderful deal based on many factors such as location, etc. As an example, the upgrade may be in a higher category, but directly below BB King's ...not exactly desirable.

    We're on Nieuw Amsterdam (Signature Class) next March, which has only the NY Pizza venue without the Deli. I hope it also has some sort of late night menu similar to the one you posted for the Pinnacle Class ships.

    I hope this is available for our next NA sailing in March, sounds really good! Can anyone who has sailed recently on a Pinnacle or Signature Class ship confirm or deny?

    Haven't heard of that. I'll have to look for it as well on our next sailing. Sounds delicious!

    Our experience on our recent April Zuiderdam sailing was much different. Our masks came off as soon as we crossed the gangplank at embarkation, and stayed of the entire cruise, in every scenario. We didn't get COVID.. Go figure!

    There's a simple solution to avoid all this drama: Select a specific cabin at time of booking and have a 'do not upgrade' tag placed in your account. Works for us every time, and we're never bothered. 🙂

    I prefer MDR, and DW likes the Lido; so we flip a coin. 🙂

    We're going to wait until after we board for our March 2023 cruise, since we'll be using OBC for payment.

    Maybe, but if you're using OBC for specialty dining as we are (in addition to HIA promo), you have to wait until you're onboard to make the reservations.

    Interesting, because we were on the Zuiderdam sailing just before yours in April, and I don't remember that area ever being roped off.

    Yeah, for some reason when I crunched the numbers, I just couldn't justify bringing my favorite bottles of $2.99 Charles Shaw from TJ's onboard, only to pay the $20 corkage fee for each bottle. Just didn't add up! 😁

    Sometimes you'll see it in the 'Distant Lands' section of the Lido buffet.

    They were in our cabin on our April Zuiderdam sailing. Nobody used them though..

    We were on Zuiderdam in April and thought the food in the MDR and all the specialty restaurants was great!
