  1. Definitely true. I live in Las Vegas in the winter and there are definitely very few bargains there these days.
  2. I have been in a lot of Oceanview cabins, and none of them had two bathrooms. Are you talking about a suite?
  3. Perhaps you can ask a server to bring some up from the crew's quarters 😆
  4. The CDC is saying that based on past studies, the efficacy rate of a prior smallpox vaccine is 85%. https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/clinicians/smallpox-vaccine.html I have been vaccinated from smallpox and do not engage in the behaviors that appear to be the overwhelming source of monkeypox spread. Not to mention that so far, serious illness and death seem to be exceedingly rare. I am not going to spend a single second worrying about catching it on a cruise. Of course, everyone is entitled to do what makes them feel comfortable, as long as you leave me alone. 🙂
  5. You are better off ordering Opalescence gel, mouthtrays, and an activating light from Amazon. You won't spend more than $60 or $70 and you will get several weeks worth of treatments. One session probably won't be that effective. I think it is safe to say that most of the spa treatments on the ship are either ineffective or overpriced (or both).
  6. I am still not spending anywhere near what they are charging.
  7. Clicked through and discovered that for what this place charges for one night, I could book a really nice balcony room on Carnival for an entire week. At that price, the food should darn well be better than Carnival's!
  8. If your cruise decision hinges on this, perhaps you should choose another line. I can't tell the difference between Sprite and 7Up.
  9. Went on a Journeys cruise a few months ago and they had a Throwback Day where they played a lot of the games that they used to back in the olden times, including frog races and horse racing. They were a blast! I don't know why they don't do them anymore!
  10. Kids have their own Bottomless Bubbles plan. They don't get anything extra simply because their parent has Cheers.
  11. I would certainly give them the benefit of the doubt for more than 15 minutes, that's all. And I say that as someone who has moved towels in the past.
  12. I agree, but if you know the towel has been there since before breakfast, than you have been monitoring it for more than 15 minutes.
  13. Other cruisers moving possessions after just 15 minutes seems a little extreme. It can take that long to get your drink from a crowded bar and make it back to your chair.
  14. On the cruises I have been on they had pineapple as well. That's what I usually drank.
  15. It is seeming more and more that the information in the OP's post was either completely fake or grossly exaggerated in every respect.
  16. My guess is that you were able to buy insurance that close to the cruise date because that is when you booked the cruise. I don't think Carnival would let someone who booked it a year earlier do that.
  17. Personally, I would never contact John Heald for something that could be easily solved in some other way. He gets thousands upon thousands of emails, and he works 16 hours a day trying to answer them all. Give the poor guy a break when you can.
  18. I filed a non-cruise-related travel claim last April. The insurance agency I bought the policy from has a "no-complaints" guarantee. After not getting a decision for 2 months, I contacted the agency about it. It may have been just a coincidence, but the claim was settled that day.
  19. I don't know about that specific ship, but in the last couple of years every ship I have sailed on serves Truly.
  20. Where flights are concerned, Carnival is acting more like a travel agent as opposed to the actual provider. Would you expect your travel agent to reimburse you if your flight got rescheduled? We booked a flight through Carnival for a particular cruise because at the time, it was less expensive than what we could get on our own, plus it was refundable until a certain date, unlike what we were finding with the airlines/travel agents.
  21. It's certainly worth looking into. We got what we thought was a good deal on our October cruise out of Rome, but we booked it several months ago.
  22. Exactly. If you choose to blow up your vacation and forfeit what you have already spent, that's on you.
  23. You had no trip insurance? With all due respect, what were you planning to do if a heart became available while you were on the cruise?
  24. Not to brag, but hubby and I recently went on a 2-week trip to Europe with 2 carry-ons and two backpacks. I literally can't remember the last time I checked bags on an airline. If you don't mind repeating outfits, you can make it work.
