  1. I am glad it went well, best of luck to you
  2. Agreed, Saint Greg’s Blog is the place for info
  3. Not sure i usually book the Fulton garage via airport parking reservations.com it does not say that on their site.
  4. I’m 6’2 and 300+. I have taken many a restful nap on the couch when not filled out. I am assuming the max capacity is in regards to lifeboats and muster capacity for that area of the ship. Having your grandson spend the night on the couch should be fine. My guess is there has been a time or two a third person has spent the night in a cabin for two on the “Fun Ships”
  5. We always part at the Fulton garage. Much cheaper than the port and they have a free shuttle I usually drop everyone and the luggage of at the ship then run over to the garage and park and ride the shuttle over solo. After the cruise we all ride the shuttle back over. They wait downstairs with the luggage and I go up and get the car and then bring it down and load and go
  6. No worries, I just wanted to make sure I was not missing something NCL also does a 3rd and 4th person free allot of the times
  7. Ok, I’ll be the lone person who was not a fan. I understand how they worked, it just seem that they took allot longer. If it was less than four floors I just took the stairs. (Which I probably should have anyway) If you followed the instructions they did work fine.
  8. I am not trying to get flamed. There are a few ships but not many that will hold 5 passengers. I do not recall a kids sail free on Carnival sale, as we have 2 kids and would have jumped on that. We have been booking adjoining porthole/oceanview. The total cost was not significantly more than all in one room. The extra space was well worth the additional cost. There are also some ships that have an an extra tub in a second “bathroom” deluxe overviews you may want to consider. I think your best bet would be a TA over a PVP as they may find a better deal on another cruise line
  9. With rates growing as fast as they are, I am surprised you found a price drop. Great job on finding that fare.
  10. Be aware if you take the cruise line to court, there is a chance you could find yourself on the banned for life list.
  11. We had an aft balcony and I loved it. I really enjoyed having the larger balcony with the longer and the chair. I spent more time on the balcony than in the room. The sad part is after I have had the aft balcony, it’s the only type I want. it is different, as the people above you can look down onto you, but that did not bother me.
  12. We were there in October and it was still good. I agree not like before Covid, but I don’t think anything really is. There was not a crowd, I did not get a count but there looked to be less than 50-75 people. Service was slower but still good. Food was ok, but nearly as good as before. Drinks were much weaker (I’m not a drinker so for me to notice that is saying something.) Beach was very clean. I would still go again, we went to Paradise Beach the time before. They are starting to give Nachi a run for their money in my opinion. Especially if you have kids.
  13. We used Uber from MIA airport to the port in October and it took about 45 minutes. 25 minutes of that time was after we got to the port (from the tunnel) trying to get through traffic.
  14. I have used the water on the ship for 20+ cruises with no issues as well. I always pack my own extension chord, but if you ask your room steward he/she will get you one. Just don’t leave your machine in the Jeep like I did once. The wife almost made me sleep on the balcony all week.
  15. Could you add the key to the app on your phone like many of the hotels are doing now?
  16. Regular Television option: With everything going to streaming an option to purchase CBS/NBC/ABC/Fox on your stateroom TV. Yes I'm on a cruise, but I miss the days watching Wheel of Furtune while waiting for the wife/kids to get ready for dinner.
  17. I like a challenge. Which exact tour are you booked on so I can look for an exact comparison? Damajagua Waterfalls & Monkey Land $129.99/$109.99 Monkey Land & Puerto Plata City Tour $94.99/$79.99 Monkey Land & Dominican Flavors for Families $89.99/$79.99 This will tell me which one to try and find a comparison.
  18. I would keep trying to submit the form, I have had issues with the error code in the past. Can’t remember how I fixed it but I do remember it was crazy frustrating. My last cruise I had two rooms, they approved the match on one room and denied it on the second room. Same excursion and I even told them they had approved the other room. I finally gave up with email and when we got onboard went to the shore excursion desk with a copy of my approval email and had them add the second room. They had to show email to supervisor and it was approved and had the credit by the next morning. If you get no satisfaction from email, I suggest printing the screen shot with the error code, a copy of your attempts to contact them and resolve and go to the shore excursion desk once onboard.
  19. Same with me. The first response was usually a No, but after a few emails. I was able to get the issue resolved but I will tell you, it has to be an almost exact match.
  20. It’s been years since we sailed on Super Bowl weekend. When we sailed they also showed the game in the main auditorium. They did have snacks there but I don’t remember what all they had. I want to say they had tenders but not wings
  21. We used the mid level plan this past October and it worked fine. The was no streaming needed both kids just needed to log on to get assignments and turn in homework. We shared one plan so only one child could be on at a time
