  1. Hilton Doubletree Southampton also offer cruise packages, but the hotel is sad and past it’s best.
  2. Parking4Cruises Triangle Parking Overnight Hotel with private parking. Hilton Ageas offer a package with private taxi transfers to/from Terminal
  3. About 4 years ago a on budget cruiser mentioned they stayed at Hotel Smart Cruise (small and very reasonably priced hotel) and only walked about 5 minutes to the meet point. Maybe this will be of interest to @VitaminSea53
  4. American friends have always praised The Riverside as close to shops, bars and restaurants with a short walk to a liquor store. The hotel is simple clean and has “micro rooms” being slightly smaller for those on a budget. As they say in the States “Best bang for a Buck”. Take a look…
  5. Believe it is only possible if the person is booked in BC Best to make a private request to the MD.
  6. This is a must take……. https://maryrose.org Prepare to be wowed. Others will add their ideas. Central hotels.. Pig in the Wall or an historic pub/hotel The White Star.
  7. Coco on Orient or Rainbow on Grand Case Excellent food, drinks, beds and ambience
  8. As an aside…. We have given up on Southampton Hotels as they no longer give a genteel relaxed stay, having migrated to Lime Wood Hotel for our two night pre-cruise stays. So, if you’re wanting something different, like a semi-remote country house boutique hotel, then consider LW. It will not disappoint. Their afternoon tea is a must after check in. 10. Southampton Harbour is the best of one’s suggestions. Take a taxi to terminal.
  11. Outside the dock wall yes, but narrow and a main road has to be crossed. Inside not all the way to cruise terminal, with heavy truck and car traffic to deal with. Take a taxi… It’s not a pleasant walk.
  12. It’s under a 20 minute walk along a very busy main road with heavy/noisy traffic and a taxi taxes about 5/7 minutes.
  13. Understand now, as one’s objection to Cunard is the exceeding of various price points. Hope one will take a future voyage to judge the benefits of Cunard without having any negative price constraint thoughts. Think one will enjoy.
  14. 5% discount code (insert at checkout) = P4CREVIEW05 On a repeat future booking a 5% discount will be applied automatically. Name and email address recognised
  15. Thought horse and carriage tours were banned years ago. If now reinstated take it, wonderful, not forgetting a bottle of Widower. Other fiz is available.
  16. Coco on Orient or Rainbow on Grande Case
  17. One appears to be fixated on the price of Cunard Wines as a reason not to book. The Cunard experience is more than just the price of wine, as one will discover when taking a Voyage.
  18. Don’t judge, then dismiss, a Cunard Voyage on the price of a bottle wine. There is so much more to enjoy, but remember having experienced the service, ambiance, dining, lectures etc., plus the Cunarders, there will be no going back. Also, Cunard treat their guests as responsible adults with their unenforced generous alcohol boarding allowances. Book and enjoy one’s first Voyage. With regard negative thoughts regarding dining room Wine prices, do consider taking a boarded bottle to the dining room and pay the $25 corkage.
  19. Never knew of their existence until mentioned on CC. The chatter is clean, simple and very reasonably priced. Never stayed but maybe worth considering due their location if on a budget. https://www.monasterystays.com/?d=Italy/Lazio/Rome/Vatican-accommodation
  20. Totally agree…. What goes around…….
  21. There are plenty of excellent restaurants as alternatives. One will be spoilt for choice. But do book early.
  22. Sorry, my bad….. Plenty of taxis at port Work on $50/60 each way. If you wish to explore the markets, asked to be dropped there. Restaurants can get busy, best to book in advance, suggest La Villa for a shabby chic dining experience with an excellent set Menu (one can upgrade a course if wished). Do book early. PS: Distance about 10 miles, but work on just over 45 minutes there to allow for heavy outward traffic , but for peace of mind allow 60 + minutes return, as traffic can be appalling heavy when multiple ships are in port.
  23. Recently posted by @Ashland We always take a shared taxi (they fill up fast and usually hold about 8 people) from the taxi stand when going to Maho. $12.00pp round trip but we have them drop us off in town and water taxi back. Distance just over 7 miles taking about 15 minutes.
  24. As there was no support, out of interest one Googled. Hope it assists. https://daycationapp.com/hotels/marriott-resort-_-stellaris-casino
