  1. It used to be Kim Sha but no recent knowledge. Whatever it is, it’ll be cheap for the Cruise Line and expensive for Cruisers. Book Coco or Rainbow for beds/lunch/drinks/day to avoid disappointment
  2. Agreed. Cunard have a spend ratio problem, which they are trying to address, but finding difficult. Hence why the Anne is seen to be a potential solution (hopefully).
  3. Obviously, one’s rationale is very strong to be so committed to an immediate removal action, so to not even consider an apology.
  4. Very interesting thread. Because the OP is correct… It’s been scheduled for some time by Executives. About 8 years ago, had a discussion with a Cunard representative who admitted my DW and I were not going to live forever, and to replace our annual spend, Cunard would have to recruit 10/12 Millennials per year. And as Millennials are not great repeaters, then Cunard will have to work hard to have a new stream of revenue.
  5. Plenty of official taxis…… For a 5/7 hour private tour, work on $250/300 for the whole taxi. Driver will confirm price on one stating the full itinerary.
  6. Excellence operate with a genteel Cat… https://discoverantiguabarbuda.com/excellence-catamaran/ However, for those wanting an adrenaline rush, Xtreme offer a speed boat tour https://bestantigua.com/tours/xtreme-circumnavigation-powerboat-tour
  7. Consider a private tour… https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/encantoboattours/items/384903/calendar/2023/03/?full-items=yes&back=https://www.encantoboattours.com/&a=yes They also offer shorter private trips.. Other operators are available….
  8. Something difficult but much better? Catherine’s Café…. Book lunch/stay in advance
  9. One is always generous with discreet gratuities to all parts on a land stay. With regard to cruising, it is what it is, so we just leave the daily in place and spread a little sunshine.
  10. Contact Captain Sunshine for availability on open air tours
  11. Contact Island Safari Tours for itineraries and bookings.
  12. Think best to telephone, speak to a manager in bookings. Tell them one was declined a day pass when booking direct, but can book via Resort Pass. Ask for their help as one wishes to spend the day with them.
  13. About 1.25 hours there and 1.50 hours back…. Taxi say $100 e/w including tip.
  14. Personally, if no Coco then one would definitely take Rainbow over Bikini….it’s a no contest. Shabby Chic and then some….
  15. Recommendations Links to assist https://www.rainbowcafesxm.com Menu. https://www.rainbowcafesxm.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Menu-Lunch-_-Dinner-.pdf https://www.cocobeach.restaurant Menu. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant/menu/lunch If websites are down, then just telephone, they will be pleased to hear from one. Anyway it’s good to talk….. Both restaurants will be happy to go “off menu” for one’s bespoke dining experience With regard to the return cab, the outward driver will be pleased to be re-booked for a timed return, where one can ask for minor detour, for which the driver will probably agree foc. There was “La Bonne Baguette” in Phillipsburg - But never tried - Look on Trip Advisor Good luck…
  16. This will surely attract a new batch of recruits to the current army of Towels.
  17. Never heard of one, but it’s only a short couple of rides and official cab prices are regulated.
  18. Little piece of information. A cruise sold tour will be rammed, as the line will max out revenue. If taking a Catamaran trip to the Pitons and wish to take the best set of photos. On boarding don’t head for the front canvas, or placing one’s back against the wheelhouse, as most punters do, also pax spreading a towel to bag a bigger space. Head for the stern and take the very comfortable soft seating there. Reasons? When approaching the Pitons the Catamaran’s punters will migrate like demented Lemmings to the very front, stand up, pointed elbows etc., with all those left behind pointing their cameras at the Pitons trying to remove the inclusion of people’s backsides. Not a good set of photos. But those at the stern just have to be patient, because the Catamaran steers a wide arc and turns, so those at stern will get the same camera time, but a better unobstructed set of shots. Also being at the stern, this is where the food and drinks are served, everything close to hand. On the “full sail” return trip, a polite ask to the Skipper may allow each of your group to take a small turn at the helm, another souvenir photo opportunity. Enjoy St Lucia….
  19. Yes…Ample.. However, best to add another 5 minutes just in case port traffic is very heavy.
  20. No need to worry. Kids are welcomed and made to feel wanted. After all, they are future diners. Plus Marmalade understand no family would wish to dine again in a Restaurant that does not appreciate the whole family’s custom. The guys at Marmalade will provide all facilities to ensure everyone has a great evening. Give them a call, because on previous visits they had a side alcove, ask for one, being ideal for a family with a little one. Another thought… Marmalade serve virgin cocktails, being absolutely identical to alcoholic ones, which could give one’s young man a bigger smile than the arrival of a fizzy drink.😉
  21. Thank you for the clarification. It’s almost identical to those who complain about Cunard’s dress code formality, but still book. Then having sailed, constantly complain, but again book, only to complain again.
  22. So we have people complaining about people complaining, then complaining themselves about people booking cruises. So what complainers were subsequently complaining about people complaining who were also themselves complaining?
  23. However, “traditionalist’ will remain steadfast on crossings, or whatever Queen they sail on. After all, the published Cunard dress code is only the basic minimum required standard.
