  1. I agree, we’ve never been on Onward & have never seen jugs labelled as water (or anything else for that matter).
  2. We did this itinerary earlier this year and loved it. We did a great excursion in Salvador de Bahia - it was a drumming class. There were only 4 of us and we loved it.
  3. Must say I agree with you. We bring our own Yorkshire Tea bags with us and use the breakfast cards to order fruit juice & tea (just using the hot water), but it’s not the same as making a cup of tea with just boiling water.
  4. I’m sure posters here are right - but you’ve nothing to lose by giving Azamara a ring and asking them.
  5. You pay the full price because their included drinks are not based on value, they are a list. That said if a cocktail can be made with an included spirit, you can ask for them to make it with those spirits & it’ll be free.
  6. Misty autumn day for our walk today. The Humber Bridge just seemed to melt away as we walked underneath it Once the sun pierced through the cloud it became a glorious morning.
  7. The issue is not about what the ship will allow, but what the local immigration and custom services are prepared to do
  8. The issue is that it depends on the customs/immigration authorities in the port & what time they are willing to start work.
  9. We have done it twice in Dubai. Asked them ahead of time and they said probably OK, but need to tell Guest Relations as soon as we get onboard. A lot can depend on local immigration and customs officials. I have heard of people refused this in Lima.
  10. We’re on the Journey in November & have not had this offer.
  11. We’ve had the indulgence package on a transatlantic. It was exactly the same as advertised - same price, same offer. We were able to use the excursion credit as we had several stops - 2 in Brazil and others en route.
  12. Does anyone know who the Food & Beverages Manager is on the Journey?
  13. I agree, very good advice, for example Turkish Airlines have just notified us that our flight with them next February has been retimed, but the change is very minimal. However that would mean that we could cancel and get a full refund.
  14. I’ve just been through the Tips Spreadsheet and found a few out-of-date items - for example references to the Voyage Planner on the old website. I’ve amended everything I spotted, but if anyone can see anything I’ve missed or that they think is not right, please let me know & I can put it right. thanks. Here’s the link again https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
  15. We’ll have to see if that happens to ours too.
  16. Interesting that our next but one cruise in February 24 has recently had an Azamazing event added. The cruise is Cape Town to the canaries & they’ve added an event in Walvis Bay which involves a drive into the Namib desert to hear African music & dancing.
  17. Best we went to was Bangkok. We were taken to a park called the Ancient City, which has one third size models of the beautiful buildings in Bangkok, such as the Grand Palace etc. We went on a little land train around the park, ending up at a central area where we had cocktails & snacks, then sat down to watch a show which included traditional Thai dancing and a kick boxing display done by youngsters from a local high school. The show finished with a firework display. We were given traditional floating candles that we lit and floated down a stream. We went back to where the buses were parked on the land train in the dark through all the model buildings that were beautifully lit.it was absolutely magical.
  18. I’ve not seen anyone from the ship there since they recommenced sailing after COVID
  19. Struggling to understand what you mean about the overnight in Egypt being so far from the ship?
  20. In another topic it’s been pointed out that there is no longer any way to register for Meet & Mingle events either on Cruise Critic or on the Azamara website. However Azamara are still allocating a room for these and it is advertised in the daily ‘Insider’. On my recent cruuses it’s been in the Drawing Room and at around 5 or 6 pm on embarkation day. I’ve amended the Tips spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE/edit
