  1. Dh wears his nicest Tommy Bahama silk shirts for chic night....saves the island prints for caribbean nights etc,
  2. Enjoyable review..easy to follow and lovely photos at the end. On our last Infinity cruise the cabin environment was sub par... A/C cut out several times in the cabin at inconvenient times and in the hallway..poor air quality. Mildew in shower and on shower curtain...awful, clorox smell. Flooded ( sewer smell) cabins down the hall.. fans blowing all day. A Great ship which needs a full re-do..not just cosmetic makeover. Glad you were able to overcome the downsides!
  3. So encouraging that 9 11 is still being remembered!. Being from the NY area, we remember it everyday...friends, neighbors and innocent people from all over the world lost to the forces of evil! Never Forget!
  4. If technically possible, they may show the broadcast in the theatre. Many passengers will be interested in seeing the funeral service..would be nice to attend as a group. Time diff not a big issue,,people get up before that going through the P. Canal.
  5. PS line up early for tenders going back..lines can be long in the sun!
  6. Gr Cayman tendering is subject to variables including weather in general, sea conditions, type/size of tenders being used, and number of ships in port. It is a crowded port with lots of traffic. We have been on a few snorkel excursions with the cruise line ( but not the rays..they seemed crowded) . Advantage to ship's trip was getting off the ship in an early group ( if an a.m, trip), and getting to the snorkel site or transp to it in good order. One snokel site was very close to the tenders..lots of activity there. Another was way far away at a past its prime resort ( very rough water..better for divers than snorkelers). Check port boards for info and reviews. If you do it on your own, there are opportunitues near or at tge tender pier from what we recall. Port has nice but expensive shops...and a few nice lunch spots..check the side streets. Make sure about ship or port time adjustments, It is a loveky port if not too crowded. Have fun!
  7. On our last 2 cruises pre Covid pause on Edge, Concierge guests were getting alot of love! They boarded ahead of AQ so they could get to the luncheon on time, were invited to special gatherings, including sailaways, etc, and had actual Concierge services. AQ cost more but only perks we had were BLU, thermal suite access, and exercise mats in the stateroom..On one of the cruises they gave all AQ cabins the last departure groups ( no priority) ..which we all changed at Guest Rel.. They should beef up the AQ perks, esp b/c BLU not as Special anymore..too many guests! Maybe a free class or spa discount..
  8. Hopefully, that is in writing somewhere. If not, she may not get into the Retreat and you will have to pay extra for her to dine with you in Luminae.. Big issue so hopefully it is on the res... did you book with a trvl agent or a Celeb Rep?
  9. Usually a great deck party on board..costumes range from elaborate to simple tees and masks. Had a great one in Aruba..forgot the ship.. decorated doors, fruit carvings etc.. lots of fun! Enjoy..
  10. As always..great photos of QUEBEC. Thank you.... Bringing back Great memories of when we cruised there on Connie and stayed overnight. Had amazing afternoon tea at hotel Frontenac with a group from Cruise Critic.... Beautiful clean city and lovely countryside. Loved the falls...but was very crowded there. We were there as they leaves were changing.
  11. Thanks...Have a great cruise, Our fav lunch places on EDGE were the Cafe Bistro( ?) .,upcharge well worth it and Eden cafe ( no upcharge) Our Beyond cruise is a short one, but we will try to get into Raw on 5 for lunch...or dinner.
  12. In contrast Just read a nice article ( AARP) about Kelly Ripa..turning 50/51. She looks great, sexy, no tell-tale wrinkles, well dressed, seems secure in herself, and her life ; and is a lady... does not seem to need candles or eggs or goop! Would make a nice ship's godmother or a fun Celebrity to cruise with!
  13. This was a great tour....for some areas I used the elevator. The laundry area was so interesting..workers there showed so much pride in their work...They spend most of their day in a windowless area but great team spirit! Well worth the price of the tour. easy to use headphones, smaller groups and pvt visits.
  14. Thank you for the posts ..that's the one we need. Models are a nice size. Not really a toy. As soon as the ship sails, we will try to get one for grandson #2. And maybe get the crystal one for ourselves..we will have our car at port! I also bought a nice necklace ( in a jewelry store on board)..of the pool square? that changes color..forgot the name but will look for something similar on BEYOND. Just something as a remembrance of the cruise!
  15. Is that an a la carte venue otherwise? On EDGE, we were unable to get a lunch res there..we would like to try it! If you have time can u check if colored resin ship model is sold in the store..need it for grandchild gift. Thanks
  16. It was a low point for Celebrity when it associated with this .......! IMHO...Does not empower woman but degrades them and men! While bringing in the cash....
  17. You were lucky! Stay away from areas under/near the band/ dj and dance floor... too many parties, zumba etc.. Our supposedly wonderful midships M class ( AQ) room literally vibrated at sail away, Celeb staff quickly confirmed it was true, and we moved our cabin by dinner time. Nice quiet area closer to front of ship...loved it.
  18. Found some on line but VERY expensive..looking for the ship store version!
  19. Thanks for the tip.. picked up a few EB tees on sale. I will look for the pants . Dh usually wears regular tees and golfer style collared shirts , and Tommy Bahama button down silk shirts for dinner. Everything I have is easy to pack, wrinkle free and easy to rinse out in the sink if needed. We usually do 2 free bags of laundry...but only things that cannot be ruined..like socks and undies. frizzy cruise hair is also par for the course!
  20. Took me forever to log in today so hope this post works. We already have the colorized ship model of EDGE..for #1 grandson. Now that we have # 2 grandson, we would like the same from BEYOND when we sail in Nov. Can someone on board or going soon let us know if this model is available in the store on BEYOND... thank you..
  21. ,Cancelling was the right thing. People, please do not fly unless you are 100% sympton free and isolated for the 10 days. We most likely caught Covid on our way home from Florida....on the flight or in the airport. We flew home on a Wed. I felt quite sick by Sat.. then my husb was sick. Both of us have tested pos. ( his test at a walk in..mine at home) . We were surprised. Now we have to isolate for 10 days. He is missing work, golf etc. We will also miss grandparents day at day care.. can't babysit or see them at all. We have fairly mild cases, no fever, but still not well...No meds and told not to re test. Our Life is disrupted...but would hate to ever pass this along!
  22. Last we saw..quite awhile ago...rockers were lined up along the Ramp in EDEN..
  23. Keep in mind that the Water included in the basic package is in the grey plastic btls. It is not Spring water and many find it awful tasting, others do not mind. We find it ugh! We have a package but will bring on some spring water and buy whatever we can on board..
  24. Love all the photos...esp the Wild Gardens of Acadia And if course, ones of the two of you having fun!
