  1. Curious if Beyond, which didn’t have old inventory since it started sailing in April/May, has anything for sale.
  2. The best specialty restaurant or the best main dining room?
  3. I realize they are trying to yield the most revenue possible by selling suites at a high rate with 54 days to go, however....... $19,000 seems a LOT to me for a sky suite Caribbean cruise.. That doesn't seem ridiculously high to you?
  4. I'm not paying but if I have to do work on my vacation, my company is reimbursing me whatever it is.
  5. add the credit to your card in the casino. Play a bit, then cash out.
  6. Sky Suite on Celebrity Beyond repositioning 9 night Cruise from Bayonne, NJ to Bermuda, Aruba and Curacao, disembarking in Fort Lauderdale. Unless you consider Halloween a big holiday week, I don't think this is a peak travel period. Thankfully they're offering the Labor Day discount. Otherwise the cost would be $29,974 for 2 people in a Sky Suite. $18,329.70 You can deduct $600 from the total in OBC. The price came down from yesterday. What a bargain. PS. Don't forget an additional mandatory $40 per person for Travel Authorization to Bermuda, not included in the total.
  7. Yep, A Sky suite on my Beyond cruise on 10/26 is now $19,000 for two. Crazy. I am so grateful I booked ours a year ago and got a casino rate discount. At these prices, I don't know if I'll be going on another Celebrity cruise anytime soon.
  8. Is this a question or are you just excited to board?
  9. Perhaps it’s vanished because it’s in the Bermuda triangle of roll calls. <insert Twilight Zone theme music here>
  10. It’s not always the length that matters. I suspect our 9 night 10/26 cruise from Bayonne, New Jersey on Beyond to Bermuda and Southern Caribbean ending in Fort Lauderdale will be a “booze cruise.” I don’t mind drunk people having fun. The rudeness I can do without.
  11. We’re booked twice in Eden and once in Le Voyage on our October Beyond cruise. I’m hopeful for gorgeous sunset views in Eden. I tried to time our res to the time of a Caribbean sunset. We’ll see if I was right.
  12. It's not always clear what are guests amenities which you should leave in the room (sound machines, alarm clocks, hair dryers, blankets, pillows, towels etc) and which amenities you can throw in your suitcase at the end of your stay (soap, individual shampoos/conditioners, pencils, note paper, postcards (remember those?) Q-tips) Sometimes we're not quite sure if we can take things or not. (bath bombs, bath salts, spa scrub brushes, tote bags, sun tan lotions, coasters fall into that category
  13. Be careful though if you have allergies or Celiac disease. The biodegradable ones are not gluten free. 😬
  14. My Beyond cruise is departing Bayonne NJ and I live an hour away. After reading this thread, I'm tempted to drive to the port the night before and sleep in my car so I don't miss the ship.
  15. What font is the monogram on the pajamas in ? If it’s not to my liking I’m going to ask them to redo it.
  16. if I could make 3000 people pay me $40 I would. That's $120,000 per ship
  17. Set your expectations for a great vacation and if there are service stumbles don’t let it upset you. You’re on vacation.
  18. Maybe Bermuda should eliminate the testing requirement. ps. My understanding is the testing for TA’s is required only if you plan to get off the ship in Bermuda. If you want to stay on board, don’t test.
  19. We're all on different cruises. My repositioning cruise on Beyond embarks from Bayonne on 10/26 and arrives in Bermuda on 10/28 so the 2 day rule applies to us. There are other cruises leaving from Europe on a Transatlantic trip and arriving in Bermuda 4 or more days later so the 4 day rule applies to them. It all depends on what ship and itinerary you are on.
  20. When I worked as the Controller at a big NYC restaurant in the mid 80's a server spilled a strawberry daiquiri down the back of this guy's white Armani suit. It wouldn't come out when he dry cleaned it. We required guests to send in the damaged clothing along with a receipt and we would try to clean it first, and if unsuccessful, reimburse. He sent it in and we couldnt get the stain out either. He produced the receipt for $1,200 (in 1985!). We sent him a check. My accounts receivable clerk kept the suit. OK, back to your requests for on board laundry services..
  21. It seems Bermuda has recognized they can’t force Transatlantic passengers to test mid cruise but they can prevent them from disembarking. They CAN require all passengers to test prior to embarkation if the ship is going directly to Bermuda and they don’t have to police who gets on and off those ships.
  22. My understanding is, as of today, this is correct.
