I can't really compare Odessey to her sisters as she is the only Q class ship that I have been on. I love the V/F/O class ships. I really like Royal Pronenades and thought I would miss it. But I ended up also liking the Royal Esplanade. Odyssey has plenty of activity and also very nice places for down time. I definitely suffer from FOMO and though I love O class I find that I don't relax much as there is always something going on. I miss the Aqua Theater when on Odyssey but there is plenty that I like to make up for it. I don't think Q class entertainment matches up to O class. There are plenty of food options, I really like her Schooner Bar and Pub. The enclosed solarium comes in very handy at times. I've been in there during rain storms and sometimes just to get out of the Caribbean heat. I think she is a very classy ship and I have really enjoyed the vibe each time that I've sailed her. And since I am a big Windjammer person, it is an area of Odyssey that I really appreciate for its design, function, and food.

A little, sort of, secret that took me some time to find. Go up to deck 14, port side, all the way aft to the sky pad (big orange, kind of ugly structure). There is a stairway that brings you up to an over the water walkway. I was pretty timid walking on it the first time. Ok, I was kind of timid the second and third times too!

The Effectors is also on Odyssey. I don't much care for it.

Odyssey of the Seas vs CCL!?
Ocean Boy replied to Crusin Karen's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I think you covered it well. However, I think that between El Loco Fresh, Cafe Two70, Solarium Bistro, Windjammer, and Sorrento's that there is plenty of opportunity to grab something to eat on Odyssey without having to pay extra. -
Odyssey of the Seas vs CCL!?

Odyssey is an awesome ship, in my opinion. I think you would be fine cruising solo on her. There are plenty of options for food. I would not say the shows are the best in the RCI fleet but they are no where near the worst either. It is easy to find alone time when you want it and easy to meet and talk to people if you want to. It is a very classy ship and since you like to dress up you will fit right in. She also has one of the best designed Windjammers (RCI's buffet) in the fleet if that is your choice for breakfast and lunch. There is also a smaller buffet available in the solarium. The first time I booked Odyssey I didn't really want to. I like other classes of RCI ships. I only booked because the date, price, and itinerary all came into alignment. This is now one of my favorite ships in the fleet. However, we are all different and cruise for different reasons. The only way you will really know is to give it a try.
