  1. Today's sunrise is from my 2013 Prinsendam Amazon cruise. December 21 was our last sea day before returning to Fort Lauderdale. Roy

  3. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. @Haljo1935 is finally on her way after an overnight from hell in DFW. Safe travels @Nickelpenny. While today is the shortest day I think sunrise will keep getting later for a couple more weeks; sunset will get later faster. With medical issues it may be a Blue Christmas for some of us but hopefully not a Humbug Day, 3 great days in history with the contributions of the Curies, our heroic astronauts, and 18 New England students. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Wattleseed Roasted Duck with Apricots and Passion Fruit Pavlova, my final dinner on my 2013 Prinsendam Amazon cruise. I'm not sure if any cruise ships ever visit Viaire. It is on the opposite side of the island from the tender dock, and is the site of the ferries to Papeete. I took the ferry over once while on a multi-day call in Papeete and will try to post a couple of photos later. Roy
  4. Keith, can I make a request if it is compatible with your plans. If your walks take you past 400 Biscayne Boulevard can you snap a photo or 2, It was a long time Methodist Church where I worshipped several times before cruises. The building was ending it's life and they redeveloped it into a mixed use property with a church above the ground floor as well as retail, residental units and I think even a hotel. Roy
  5. If you want to eat in the MDR a couple of suggestions would be lunch on a sea day or a dressy night which does not have a CO special. Roy
  6. Well, the blocker just left. A silent departure without much light showing but the webcam did follow them. Roy
  7. @kazu how does your weather look for the next couple of days? Have you heard that MSC Meraviglia is headed your way tomorrow. A heck of a change from the Bahamas they were expecting out of New York. Roy
  8. Passing a blocker 2 days in a row although a much smaller one. Not much horn but great camera work. Thanks Dave, Leanne, and fellow addicts. Roy
  9. Today's sunrise if from my 2012 cruise that was part of my nephew's wedding. On December 20 the Celebrity Summit was at St. Maarten: Roy

  11. And Saint John tomorrow. At least if they had gone to Halifax the museum of immigration is directly connected to the terminal building. Roy
  12. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann and Dixie for the Hump Day report. Too cold for caroling, I'll pass on the Sangria, but will celebrate Sacagawea. I'm also great for the great buy made in 1803. I like the quote. I've been to Catalina just once on the now defunct Carnival Inspiration. The meal sounds interesting. My alternative is Chilled Indian Lassi Soup, Chicken Breast with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, and Basil leaves, and Master Chef Sundae as served on MS Prinsendam December 20, 2013. Roy
  13. Today's sunrise is from my 2012 Celebrity Summit cruise in conjunction with my nephew's wedding. On December 19 we visited Antiuga. Roy

  15. I think this is the first time anyone has ever passed the blocker. I hope it sets a precedent. Great toots to end an awesome sailaway. Thanks Dave, Leanne, and fellow addicts. Roy
  16. I can't believe Zaandam is "confirmed" for 3PM despite the blocker. Roy
  17. Especially for someone who sails multiple cruise lines. Roy
  18. Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Bon Voyage @St Pete Cruiser your ship is now waiting for you: 4 great days to celebrate including the one in 1932. A special salute to our National Heroes and Heroines. The quote sounds like typical Phyllis Diller. I have not been to today's port; I did not cruise a lot in the Med. The meal sounds interesting. My alternative is Fruit Salad with Yogurt and Honey, Grilled Chicken Breast with Louisiana Style Rice, and Apple Sundae as served on MS Prinsendam December 19, 2013. A crazy morning with bloodwork for my annual physical followed by a visit to my periodontist. Roy
