Blu is open to suite guests on a space available basis. We have been both turned away and seated, just depends on how busy Blu is. If you dine late a better chance of being seated. On M class ships you can order from the Blu menu in Luminae as the kitchens are close together.

I so sorry to hear you family got ill and I hope all recover quickly. Although I am not very surprised to hear that all in your party tested positive as I would think you spent time together both on the ship and in port so when I caught it spread to the others. I believe that you can transfer your FCC's to another person. Is there anyone in your family or friends who you could give the FCCs to or sell it to someone? The FCCs no longer have a expiration date so no rush for someone to use them.

Solo on Summit - Aqua Class or Retreat?
jelayne replied to Wallys_World's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We have stayed in 6119 and the balconies are small and the lifeboats and davits obstruct some of the view. If you book 6125, 6126 or higher the balconies are a bit larger. We love Aqua particularly for Blu. We go back and forth between AQ and the Retreat. Maybe just coincidence but we have met and became friendly with more people when dining in Blu than Luminae. . -
You can message with the app however, it does no sound a alert or any notification of a new message. So unless you are consistently looking at the phone you won’t know you have a message. To my knowledge to app feature to let you track kids. Celebrity doesn’t attract nearly as many kids a Princess, Royal or others with water slides, flow riders etc

You can call to upgrade and if you get any Captains Club discount ask them to apply the discount. It has been some months since we upgraded. We did it by calling and with CC discount it was under $12 per day for 1 device.

It only recently started sailing. Reports are people are registering but the info isn’t getting to the ship. I think they would like them to fade away. We stopped going about 6 -7 years ago, preferring the more informal Roll Call Sail Aways.

How do I verify what drink package we have?
jelayne replied to FiremedicMike151's topic in Celebrity Cruises
If you booked a Suite then, unless you booked a Cruise Only rate, you would have the premium beverage package, stream wi-fi, prepaid gratuities and some OBC. When you booked you should have received a booking confirmation that spells out( some in codes) what you will receive. -
Equinox July 10 Sailing - No live music & no shows??
jelayne replied to bandp407's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The entertainment isn’t particularly accurate until on board and then last minute changes don’t always show. -
We have been on 5 sailings since the restart and the Retreat Lounge, Sundeck and Luminae have been open and staffed everyday. Luminae for Breakfast & dinner and lunch on sea days just as before the pandemic.. There were staff shortage in Luminae at the end of 1 cruise when 5or 6 of the staff tested positive for Covid as did our Butler and the 2nd butler.

We have been in a suite on the Edge 2x, Reflection 2x and Apex once since the restart and Luminae was not open for lunch on port days. It was open every day for breakfast & dinner. Suites were fully booked on the Edge & Apex so Luminae was very busy at breakfast and from 6 - 8:15 each evening.

Current list of which ships have been Revolutionized?

Yes that was what I meant. Brain moved faster than fingers. 🙂 -
Yep! That’s what I said.

There is a limited lunch menu at the Retreat Sundeck. I can’t remember all the choices I know there is the burger, a wrap, a chicken sandwich and I think a salad. DH isn’t one to hang at the Sundeck but we’re would meet me there for lunch occasionally.

In the past couple of weeks cruise only fares were not available for Aqua Class or Suites. So if you just booked it would be a AI fare. It can take awhile but at some point if you look in the Cruise Planner under Order history you will see the beverage package and wi-fi. As @canderson suggest you can ask you TA to provide you a copy of the Celebrity Booking Confirmation Both TAs we use spell out the inclusions on their invoice and we have never had a problem.

Celebrity Lost all my Luggage. Am I screwed?
jelayne replied to tallyho8's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I do, I use the service provided so as not to create a possible hazard to myself or others. I can’t carry my bag down stairs or manage a suitcase on a escalator and I can’t pack for 3-6 weeks with a carry-on. -
Can you do move up if on a cruise only package
jelayne replied to ellsbells3032's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Are you booked with a TA? Not all TAs participate , one if the big box ones does not. -
The added the gratuity about 2 months ago. Whether you book on board or via the cruise planner you will be charged the 18% automatically.

Current list of which ships have been Revolutionized?
jelayne replied to JSR's topic in Celebrity Cruises
The revolutionizing of the ships was stopped when the pandemic hit. There has been time line announced to restart the revolutionizing process. The only published schedule is for the regular maintenance. With the amount of debt taken on during the pandemic and the slow start to cruising I thing it will be awhile before they will be spending a few hundred million on revolutionizing ships. -
Since you have only sailed on X once you would not likely be Elite or above in the CaptIns Club. The laundry bag mid cruise offer recently has been $49.95. If you booked the Always Included rate your daily gratuity is included and covers your stateroom attendant and the dining room staff. With the Classic beverage package drinks up to $9 are included ( liquor, wine, bottled water, soda, juice and specialty coffees & teas from Cafe Al Bacio). If you want a drink over the $9 you just pay the difference plus 20% gratuity. The pastries, cookies, cakes, in the case at Cafe Al Bacio are free, no need to order a coffee or tea. If they do Silent Disco 1 evening give it a try. It is fun if you participate but also fun just to watch.

Go to the top of the page and there click on the calendar then look at the very bottom of the calendar page and in light blue you see Change Ship/ sail Date, follow that and you see option to see ships supported by the app, select Edge and pick a near term sail date. Then go to dining, find Eden and you will see the full menu.

Dinner Packages - Advantages/Disadvantages
jelayne replied to number one eagles fan's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You do not have to book for the 1st night, but the antiquated IT system requires a 1st night reservation in order to process the transaction. As soon as you board go to 1 of the tables booking dining reservations or to 1 of the specialty restaurants to book all 3 nights. YMMV but, We had a 3 night package and boarded Edge at noon. The we had a choice of days for Fine Cut but earliest time was 9:30. MaitreD waitlisted us for a earlier time and we eventually got 9. Eden was not a priority for us but again only a few late times so we passed. We did Roof Top Grill twice. Recently we booked Eden long before our Apex sailing and when we got on board there we no openings. Saw many suite guests in the Retreat Lounge asking the Concierge if he could get them a reservation in Eden- he could not. We are sailing on the Beyond in October and booked Eden back in March. A check of the CP shows 6:30 available on 1st and last night. Other nights are all 9:30 with 2 nights having 8:30 ( we are on 12 N sailing)
