  1. Choc buffet & midnight buffet are long gone. I have not seen the BBQ around the Lido deck pool in a very long time. Last was a Mexican Riviera Cruise at least 10 years ago, maybe more. Seems I recall some "BBQ" choices in the Windjammer during out cruise last month. If they had the midnight buffets during your last cruise, I'm expecting you will think a lot of things have changed. They have but we still enjoy the experience. Enjoy. PS: No more ice sculptures either.
  2. All I know is I don't want to be anywhere near an airport on May 7, 2025. It is going to be a zoo.
  3. I have no special knowledge to help you. It seems odd that they would ask for a visa from someone who is a permanent resident. I wonder what would happen if you listed Mexican passport under the document section. I did find the following quote (but not from an official gov't site, so don't rely on it): "Those who have obtained a lawful permanent resident status in the U.S. are not required to carry a visa if they wish to visit Mexico". I hope someone more knowledgable than me chimes in.
  4. If they switch to Opera, I'll be needing to bring a pillow too. 😄 Actually, I was thinking about your comment about doors. I don't think I've ever been in a cruise ship lounge that had closed doors while open for business. Exceptions I can think of might be a smoking room or diamond lounge. But those are not really areas for performances. Maybe the ice rink or theater closes the doors during a performance. I hope not for life safety issues, but really don't know.
  5. Could be the change is being made as a way to reduce expenses without impacting fares. If that is the need, an alternative would be to retain the current activity and increase fares and/or gratuities.
  6. Good point about sofa beds & pullmans. I also don't see it as an issue. But (there is always a but), if reduced staffing cannot get to our room until later in the day, that I would consider a reduction in service. If a daily service is done in the morning when guests depart, which I think would be preferred, don't they still need the same number of cabin staff to accomplish that? I guess a portion of the cabin staff could be re-tasked to other afternoon duties. I know I'm missing something.
  7. I'm just enjoying a friendly chat about something, even it if isn't earth shaking. BTW, I had a mojito for the first time a couple of weeks ago in Boleros. Pretty good.
  8. Yes, I have to agree with that. Though, snoring could be a safety issue if it reaches 85 decibels. I've been told that happens. I've never heard that myself mind you. 😄
  9. We were on Oasis last month. I think this is a very accurate description and agree with you. An earlier post mentioned elevator issues. For our 7 day Oasis cruise there were a couple of times when we had to skip multiple elevator due to crowds. But most of the time waits for the next available elevator were reasonable.
  10. I agree. We have never had anything even remotely threatening or felt unsafe on any Celebrity ship. Same can be said for any other cruise line we have been on. We have never witnessed security being called either.
  11. We were on Island Princess in October. They had Diet Coke. Enjoy.
  12. I could be wrong but thought the underlined rule was applicable to drinking age as opposed to making Boleros an adults only area. Clearly, families with youngsters should not use the Solarium or any other adults only space.
  13. Oh, I agree the exchange rate is important. What I meant to say in my comment is for the small amounts of cash I get while on the road, the difference between a good and bad exchange rate (and transaction fee) is likely to be a small amount. We do try to follow best practices at ATMs.
  14. At the same time, if all the chairs are being used I see no problem in pulling them together for the group. If the chairs are in use then others can't use them. I do understand the issue I think and do feel sleeping on the floor or turning the lounge into a campground is over the top. I'm not unsympathetic and mean no criticism of the OP. I just think it is kind of a tough one to say who has more rights to claim the available space.
  15. Oh yeah, I can understand the frustration. But whether the place is packed by one group or several, it would be the same, IMO. I'll admit some bias. I'm pretty family focused and enjoy having the kiddos around. So that aspect wouldn't bother me as much as it does others. Old guy snoozing in Schooners taking up space during trivia. Should they wake me (I mean him) cause they want his chair? 😄😄
  16. I agree. For the amounts of cash we normally get while traveling the exchange rate and transaction fees are not worth worrying about.
  17. British Isles. Don't forget to kiss the Blarney Stone!
  18. IDK, it is a tough one. Seems like anyone has just as much right to occupy a space as anyone else. Fact it may cramp someone else's style doesn't change that.
  19. I also shows up on the cell phone app without much delay. Extra tip could be. What I read was people were complaining they didn't intend to use a voucher so the sign off was implemented. Maybe that and the extra tip opportunity, who knows.
  20. Same here except I don't remember having to sign multiple receipts. Our fridge got so full of sodas & beer we had to let some vouchers expire unused. Haha.
  21. I thought the signing was so people confirm they are using a voucher so as not to complain later they didn't mean to use it on a soda instead of a more expensive drink. I don't know that I said that well, but hopefully you know what I mean.
  22. I think we are saying the same thing. Though to be truthful, a sick child gets special handling in my book.
  23. I would say I was one of them (against national id). But times have changed enough for me to change my mind.
