  1. Me, either. While I like dancing in shows, I don't feel the Step One shows are what I'd call "big" entertainment. More like a dance studio recital.
  2. Ah, but how do I get on the HAL site? That's the issue I'm having.
  3. This is what I'm getting - greyed out background and the ever spinning wheel of death
  4. I haven't been able to connect with HAL website for several days. I tried the incognito window, and, while I was able to at least get to the home page on the website, when I clicked on a link to get information it gave me a "sorry, we're having issues" window.
  5. The water available for purchase onboard - is it in cans (pop-top variety) or those aluminum bottles (resealable)?
  6. Copy & Paste works. Also, you can Drag & Drop from a computer file.
  7. Deluxe Family veranda (sleeps 5) on the Fantasy Deluxe Family Veranda (sleeps 4) on the Fantasy (no Murphy bed in the corner)
  8. Oh, I know. But it seems like they're keeping their options open.
  9. Are cruise ships visiting Corinto, Nicaragua in 2023-2024? This site may be of interest to you: https://www.cruisetimetables.com/cruises-to-corinto-nicaragua.html
  10. As noted, the the lock on the door is high, too high for a child to open. Also, the railing has plexiglass on it. You can see the edge of it (sort of) in this picture right in the middle
  11. Probably because Key West is (has?) changing their docking restrictions.
  12. Because, by using a Travel Agent, you are authorizing them to enter into a contract to sail. They are acting as your agent, and will be contacted to set up financial situation.
  13. Not at all. I'm putting forth another point of view. Not everyone who attends reunions had great friends/experiences in high school. Maybe just trying to show that not all "unpopular" kids turn out bad.
  14. While I, on the other hand, was the ultimate wallflower, "who's that person?" non-entity in high school. I went to my first reunion (15 years) just so I could hear the "THAT'S (name withheld)?" when I showed up in my short, little black dress, hair done, makeup and without a doubt had "come out of my shell". I've attended about 3 reunions now, but, since I have to travel to get there I haven't attended the last couple. I'm thinking about whether I'll attend my 50 year reunion. If they even have enough people to set one up.
  15. I would think planning a school reunion on a cruise ship would be prohibitively expensive for a large number of people who would (or should) be included in the reunion. It's hard enough to get a decent number together to "meet at XX restaurant" for one.
  16. I can only address the DCL questions. For me, personally, I don't think concierge is something I'd like. One thing, concierge doesn't get priority seating at the shows (unless things have changed). We also have been able to get reservations at the extra pay dining options (on the classic and dream class ships) since our first DCL cruise. Another thing, both the Wish & Treasure don't "measure up" to what many previous DCL cruisers feel a Disney ship should be. I can't answer that, as I haven't been on either one, yet. I probably will take one cruise on each of them in the future so I can form my own opinion. Depending on the cruise, it's possible the number of children could be high or low. And, DCL has very good and large kid's clubs areas, keeping most of them out of the way.
  17. Usually a formal night the first sea day and a semi-formal at the end. At least that's been my experience. Pirate night. Also, depending on you cruise, there could be Star Wars, Marvel, or some other themed events.
  18. We just received the same thing. Unfortunately, I can't follow all that legal talk and I have no idea what it's telling me. If when I made the deposit for this trip is the deciding factor, and that date is May 12, 2023, then we're out of luck.
  19. Unless we're told that we have to have the passport while ashore, we leave it in the safe on the ship.
  20. For a closed loop cruise (out and back to the same US port), legally a passport card will work fine. That said, there are some cruise lines that require passport books, regardless of what the actual legal requirement says. I'm not sure whether Celebrity is one of those. Another thought, if, heaven forbid, there were an accident and your friend has to fly home from a foreign port, a passport card will not work, a book is required for flying.
  21. For a round trip cruise (begins and ends in the same US port) a call at ANY foreign port works. For an open jaw cruise (begins and ends in 2 different US ports) a call at a DISTANT foreign port is required.
  22. I'd suggest the "Write a Review" link here on Cruise Critic https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/collect/
  23. I think the issue is HOW the review was worded. It's sufficient to say "I didn't like the food". But saying "it's like dog food" is a bit inflammatory. Also, when asked to clarify what's "not fresh" there's been no response. To top it off, to come to a HAL specific forum to say that HAL is bad could be a direct attempt to get a response. A bad review could have been place in a more neutral area, if the attempt was to sway people's opinions about whether to cruise HAL or not.
