  1. Thanks for looking up which other ships will be in port. For us, we can't control the number of ships, what we can control is being one of the first off the ship
  2. Not sure how up to date this is from Carnival but its a good datapoint...Looks like no hard labor in a federal prison, just have to pay a hefty fine...
  3. @Ken the cruiser @Jim_Iain @AstoriaPreppy, I understand some did a B2B, either way, does anyone recall what time the US to Reykjavik sailing disembarkation for self-carry-off started last year? This year the ship is scheduled to arrive at the port at 530am
  4. Exactly! I wonder why they have two shorter sailings vs one longer ones but probably gives the crew new ship experience performing turnaround day duties
  5. In some cases you can save on airfare if you do a B2B, for example an Alaska northbound then southbound
  6. Two of the worst I've seen 1) We're at Blu having a nice chat with table next to us which is like a foot away. The guy from the coupled ordered off the MDR menu, the waiter apologized said they have a rule to only get MDR classics, not the rotationals, the guy replied with "don't be lazy, I want ABC, you get it for me". There was some back and forth then the M'D came over and said something along the lines of "we'll get it for you THIS TIME but understand we can't get MDR items for the rest of the sailing". Once the waiter and M'D left the guy tried to talk to us like nothing happened. We got up and walked and I told them the crew works hard, he said something like I already paid for this food. The Asst M'D offered to seat us at another table but we passed 2) A pair of older women were complaining to the buffet washy washy girl that their shower water temp fluctuates too much and they want a plumber to look at it. Girl asked if they asked their cabin attendant, they said we never see them, they're never around, girl said to call guest services, they said the wait is too long. The pair kept saying along the lines of "we just want to take a normal shower, I don't see why this is so difficult", they were basically begging for her to leave her post to call a plumber for her right now I have more, those were the two most shocking...A common theme is that the passengers get rude after the crew tells them no
  7. The crew works hard. From what I've witnessed, it doesn't seem these folks are showing off, I would guess it's more about not respecting them for whatever reason or they seemingly really did get "triggered" aka hit a nerve. They should absolutely walk the plank...lol
  8. I rarely see this discussed, cocktail expectations. When on board or occasionally here on CC, people seem to get quite upset if they order a cocktail and the bartender doesn't know how to make it. Usually the bartender will say something like "what's in that again?" or "that's ABC/vodka and XYZ/lime, right?" I unfortunately see folks acting rudely to the crew on every sailing and don't understand why yet it's a whole different level. People get "triggered", asking things like "who trained you?", "who's your supervisor?"...Often they're still complaining AFTER they received their drink. If you took the five seconds to tell them, the situation would be over. I know X often markets something like "bottle of bubbly, coming right up!" and "your bartender will have your favorite drink waiting for you". There can be quite a wait during peak times yet this isn't exclusive to X, all cruise lines have this issue. But who knows, RCI has had a robotic arm bartender for over a decade, CCL pour your own beer and NCL pour your own wine; perhaps in a decade they'll be a dozen cocktail dispenser kiosks with one crew member overseeing things
  9. Like most other corporations, pumping up quarterly revenue since the quarter ends in two weeks
  10. On the topic, another dynamic I rarely see discussed are cocktail expectations. When on X You're ahead of the curve because if X got rid of daily MDR chocolate cake and cheesecake, any day now X will go down to once a day service unless you're in a suite
  11. Thanks...X could have removed "for all suites"...lol
  12. She was already revolutionized and X has said they've paused all other ships revolutionization so I doubt any major changes other than replacing worn carpet and other soft goods. Drydock could simply mean routine maintenance/inspections
  13. Exactly but unfortunately, they didn't gain anything, like premium either
  14. I checked...It won't work; since X only has Bali sailings in late Dec 2023-Jan for 2024 and only Jan for 2025 and no other cruise lines offer a TP near this timeframe Perhaps you could book a West Coast/Hawaii to Australia then a round trip flight to Bali which is a 6 hour flight
  15. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is its incredibly doubtful that 100% of the waitstaff know what a "Full English" is and possibly the ones that do may mess that up I'm not sure if they have tomatoes and/or english/back bacon in the MDR but they do have english/back bacon in the buffet
  16. Go Green is one extra night of points, for Concierge (and Aqua) you'd get 5 extra points
  17. Yes, its one night so an AQ would get more points than an OV and this is assuming you registered for it
  18. Doesn't look like what you're trying to do is possible on X, perhaps another cruise line could depart from the west coast and get you somewhere in Asia Once the Millie is done sailing Alaska this Sept, it will depart for Asia and remain there. Last sailing I see is still Asia in April 8th 2025
  19. I stand corrected, thanks for posting. My "big box" site has "Bali, Indonesia" which didn't pull up anything for X...When I search just the Millie, I discovered my big big site calls it "Benoa, Bali"...Pointing this out in case anyone uses this big box site So there's one Dec 2023 sailing, and some Jan 2024 and Jan 2025 sailings
  20. No X ships are scheduled to visit Bali at all regardless of departure port. Princess, Cunard, Oceania etc do, however
  21. Last month on the Beyond they did the senior officer event in the Eden, clearly not the same but having the event in Eden wasn't bad
  22. I've seen it open on seadays, perhaps it was open by a player's request
