  1. Generally speaking, unless you are in a suite or in concierge, your only option are the buffet or possibly the grill. Breakfast will be served in the MDR daily. Lunch on sea days.
  2. Don't rely on the app to show the proper menus until you are onboard.
  3. NCL will call it a privacy violation to announce what groups are booking as a private charter. Plus, they know people will cancel if they can.
  4. I don't think it's something to worry about this year as the king crab season was cancelled.
  5. I wouldn't do Salem unless on a cruise excursion.
  6. When I took the White Pass, the bus driver wouldn't let us on the bus without viewing our passports.
  7. It depends. If the area of the ship you are in runs out of lifeboat space then no.
  8. If you don't arrive until noon, 12:15 would I think be the earliest you might actually be off the ship. Not sure why you'd consider an 11:45 if you aren't even docked yet.
  9. Princess "suite" experience doesn't compare to Haven/Retreat. I would say if you cruise Celebrity, your experience on Princess will be similar. But, with that being said, Alaska itineraries tend to be "different" in the crowd they attract.
  10. It will get added to the system. You might get a sticker put on your card.
  11. I wouldn't do a 10am flight, but I'd think you'd be fine with noon.
  12. To the OP: While I don't have any advice for you (other than seeing if perhaps you can get a relative or friend to join you), I'd like to applaud you for realizing you need to bring a carer onboard with you. There was once a story of someone who needed a carer booking a suite, expecting their butler to act in that role, and had quite a surprise when that wasn't the case.
  13. In my experience, when there is a crew fire drill, it's timed so that most passengers will already be off the ship (not waiting to get off), plus there are always crew members posted near the fire doors to help passengers get through.
  14. The crew smoking area won't be listed there.
  15. Please note that Cape Liberty is across state lines in NJ. NYC taxis are not required to take you there. Any fare would be arranged between you and the driver. You might want to look at a pre-arranged service.
  16. Many years ago I took Amtrak to Newark Airport so I could get a rental car. I had to find someone who could open the gate after seeing my Amtrak ticket.
  17. The package must be bought for all adults in a cabin. However, if you call in, and have a condition that doesn't allow you to drink, you can supposedly get away with one alcohol package and one refreshment package.
  18. I don't believe the Valor has any thermal suite of some variety. You would be paying for services only.
  19. Yeah, if Cozumel is the first stop, I'd just no show and not get on the ship in the first place. But, I'd also be upset that my approved vacation time was being rescinded at the last possible minute.
  20. You can't simply not show up on the ship, nor just show up at the airport. This must be arranged in advance so proper immigration can be done (on a cruise ship, immigration is rubber stamped based on you leaving same day (simple explanation)). If you don't intend to return to the ship, you need to be properly processed. Also note that there is no guarantee that you will get permission.
  21. Your MDR reservations mean nothing since you are assigned to Blu, which doesn't have reservations. Since you don't plan to eat at Blu, you need to let the Maitre D there know and they will arrange for you to eat in the MDR.
  22. Probably no mass, but there might be a nondenominational service.
  23. No, per board rules we can't recommend PCCs.
