  1. I had booked National Express LHR to Southampton on Friday May 27. On May 26 I received an email that National Express was switching the Coach to another Coach company for May 27. While waiting for the Coach at LHR, I talked to a driver about the email I had received. He said that 5 coach routes including the LHR to Southampton had been cancelled the day before due to lack of drivers and Coach mechanical problems. Our Coach had a different name on it as National Express had hired a coach from another Coach company.
  2. My CDN travel agency, I have used for the past 9 yrs has been sold. The owner told me my March 2023 and Nov 2023 and my friend’s Nov 2023 are being transferred to Princess and I will be the contact person for all 3 bookings. The bookings would have the same booking numbers and everything would be the same. He is suppose to let me know when it has been done. On my Nov 2023 bookings, I noticed yesterday, from Princess website that my 2 side by side cabins (which I had picked for the size) were available for anybody to book. Today, I looked and one cabin has been taken. I did a Live Chat and the bookings are still listed with the agency and they won’t talk to me. The owner is no longer interested in dealing with it. Should I wait until they have been transferred over before calling Princess? For my Nov 2023 booking, I have $500 OBC (from a promo) and $85 OBC (from agency) for the cabin. The category is a BD balcony. I noticed a BE category is a little $ cheaper with a bigger balcony size. If I decide to change from a BD to a BE, would I loose all my OBC’s?
  3. I paid $44 CDN for WiFi. Refunded $35US on the ship for WIFI. Internet manger said it was for 3 days of not being able to use the WiFi on a 7 day cruise. I was glad I went to see him, he said he had applied the refund to my account at the beginning of the cruise. I showed him it had not appeared on my account so he reapplied . I would not had known about the refund if I had not visited him for the third time.
  4. Looking forward to any reviews you do Good lucky with your flights.
  5. You can go to Guest Services onboard and they will move the OBC to the other person.
  6. On the Sky June4-11 Norwegian Fjords, I received $35 refund for 3 days of WiFi. I had purchased WiFi ($44 Elite price) not the Plus package.
  7. I was on the Sky May 28-June 11. I got off went you got on. During the June 4-11 cruise, there was a emergency alarm go off, something about the engine. June 4-11 cruise, Wednesday June 8 and Thursday June 9, the port times changed, (we still had the same amount of time in ports) due to engine problems. I always book my flights EzAir with Princess. I was wondering for in the future, how people contacted EzAir - - did people have to contact EzAir themselvies - did EzAir automatically change their flights - go to Guest Services or Captain Circle to inquire what to do - how did they find out about their new flights The WiFi was bad going through the Fjords June 4-11, I received $35 refund = to 3 days of WiFi. I purchased WiFi separate not in the Plus package. On June 11, my sister had a non stop 2:05pm flight with a Princess transfer and I had a non stop 5:05pm flight with a post cruise excursion to LHR. Both of us would have had EzAir change our flights. Most planes are now travelling full making it hard to put other displaced passengers on another flight. I wonder how many passengers will be staying at hotels for a night or two.
  8. Wonder where the home port will be and where it will sail to?
  9. Good no one was on the gangway when it happened
  10. My daughter got her 17 month old, used to a shower before they went on a holiday with only a shower.
  11. On May 27, BA from Toronto, Canada (YYZ) to LHR terminal 5 arrived at 6:35am. Once we landed, we used a bus to get to terminal 5, up a few escalators, through a kiosks for immigration, picked up our luggage, all by 7:15am. I think having the bus helped without having to do the the long walk and timing, we missed the crowds. We had a 9:45am National Express ticket to Southampton. We could have gotten on an earlier Coach with no change fee. I was waiting on my sister who was suppose to arrive at 6:30am at terminal 2 and be on the same National Express Coach 9:30am from terminal 2. My sister’s plane was late leaving their home airport my 2 1/2 hours so arrived 2 1/2 late at terminal 2. She had the long walk, about 1 1/2 hour for kiosk immigration and luggage pickup. She missed her 9:30am National Express ticket and was able to get on a later Coach with no change fee. You never know how long you have to wait to go through immigration and luggage pick up. Plan for 90 minutes. At the airports, National Express will let you get on another Coach if there are seats available with no change fee.. Take a note of National Express schedule if late or early so you can get on the next Coach. Why not use a car service to take you from LHR to your London hotel? They wait outside the luggage area with your name on a sign and take you direct to your hotel after a long flight. They monitor your flight arrival times since you give them the information. They cost more than National Express but worth it have a long flight. I have used www.justairports.com from LHR to London hotel and from hotel to LHR 4x.
  12. Southampton June 11, self disembarkment was started around 7am. They did not finish unloading and sorting luggage dockside until after 7:40. We were waiting to pickup our luggage and could not until they had finished laying out all the luggage in different colour.
  13. The car service will ask for your flight information. They will know roughly how long it will take you. I was told leave 90 minutes to clear immigration and luggage pickup.
  14. It might be which country the ship is visiting. My Sky ports were in Norway and Denmark which did not have to be tested to enter these countries. Britain did not need to be tested to enter. I think, entering Italy had to be tested one day before.
  15. I had 2 different booking numbers for the two 7 day cruises on the Sky May 28-June 4 roundtrip out of Southampton and June 4-11 roundtrip out of Southampton. Princess makes it one cruise on the medallion. I asked at Guest Services 2x, if we needed a Covid Test for the second cruise, “No, as you are not going to a country that needs a Covid test” “You needed a Covid test to get on the ship”. Treat the second Southampton stop (embarkment day for the second cruise) as any port day, if you want to get off the ship. In 2019, on the Sky, two 7 day cruises with 2 booking numbers for Athens-Barcelona and Barcelona- Rome. Princess made it one cruise on the medallion. Told to treat Barcelona as any port day, get off if you want.
  16. I was on Sky out of Southampton May 28-June 4 and June 4-11, 2022. My sister asked at Guest Services the first week if if there were Covid cases onboard, he was not suppose to say, but he whispered to her “a few”. They do not broadcast if there are any cases. My brother in law, was coughing at the end of the second week. On Saturday June 4 (disembarking day) about 1am, they called medical center. He tested negative (he was told a cold) but still had to be quarantined for a few hours before disembarking with the other quarantine passengers. He saw only about a dozen people quarantined leaving the ship.. From the June 4 Facebook, a few stated they tested positive once home.
  17. I have used www.justairports.com from LHR to our London hotel and hotel back to LHR 5x. Use hotel’s postal code to get a quote.
  18. B2B in Barcelona (2019) and Southampton (2022) we were given a “In Transat” card and told to treat the port as any port and show the card when returning to the ship. Southampton (2022), we did not need to do a Covid test for the second cruise.
  19. On the Sky May 28-June 11, my brother in law met a couple staying 8 months on the Sky in an inside cabin.
  20. I noticed while on the Sky that the orange juice is from a box called - Orange Cocktail
  21. I have a Caribbean cruise booked with my 2 yr granddaughter for later in the year.. After, just returning from a 14 day Northern European cruise, I have decided to cancel the granddaughter’s cruise as she would not be allowed into the pool or kids club unless she is potty trained. Not much for her do on the ship. Don’t want other passengers to look at her if she decides to have a melt down. If taking Princess excursions, most buses would put the stroller/pram under the bus (luggage area) where they put the wheelchairs/walkers. On buses, in Norway/Denmark it was the law to wear seatbelts. On a Caribbean Princess excursion, someone brought a car seat, all the seats are counted for with a purchased ticket, plus there were no seat belts, driver had to store the car seat in stairwell of the bus. Not much room in balcony cabins to store a car seat.
  22. The only coupon I used on my recent cruise - casino - $10 if you spend $20.
  23. As a Canadian, I only had to show my Covid negative test results and my vaccination paper ( paper is easier for them to read than phone). I have never been asked to show any insurance papers in 35 cruises. It is up to passengers if they want insurance or not. British cruisers have different requirements for booking than North America cruisers.
  24. National Express is much cheaper than Princess transfer. If going direct home after cruise, I have taken Princess transfer or Princess post cruise excursion back to Heathrow. You purchase your National Express Coach timed ticket online leaving minimum of 90 minutes after flight arrive . My ticket was £17/pp LHR Terminal 5 to Southampton for Friday, May 27. National Express will let you change to another Coach (if seats are available) if you are late/early for your timed ticket with no change fee only at the airports. Depending on your airline which terminal you land at, where you will find National Express Coach terminal. Check out Heathrow airport web site for your airline terminal and National Express Coach information. Once you have picked up your luggage, exit luggage area and follow signs for Coaches. Terminal 2/3 - a 10-15 minute walk all indoors, no seats to rest along the way, easy to follow Terminal 5 - follow signs for Coaches, there is a shelter with seats to wait. Drivers get out of coaches to load luggage and will help direct you. NOTE your Coach route number on your booking. On the Coach sign, will not say Southampton, it will show the last stop. Our Coach was -route #204, Bournemouth. It was Heathrow, Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth.
