@Sunshine3601 Oh Debbie, I am so sorry to hear this about your 91 year old neighbor. So sad. We visited our dear friend Lois on Tuesday down in Avalon. She will be 92 in November. She looks good, but has really slowed down with bad circulation..her legs are affected by this. I'm so glad that we went to see her. (((hugs, Debbie)))❤️

Beautiful day for the ballgame!!

Thank you, Graham. To you and Pauline, as well. We are enjoying a beautiful day here. It is 76 degrees, without humidity. woo hoo! I can't remember the last time it's been this beautiful here. The oppressive heat wave that we've all been experiencing has finally broken here. Last night was kind of tough, though! While we haven't had the heavy rains and wind that a lot of our friends on here have been experiencing, part of our street lost power for over 3 and a half hours last night. It was brutal, with the heat and humidity. Jim and our grandsons couldn't get the darned generator to start. Luckily, electric was finally back on around 9:00 last night. Phew!!

We're heading to Smithtown this coming Saturday. Certainly not looking forward to this ride from hell! It took so many hours the last time we traveled there. This time, we're taking the Garden State, Staten Island Expressway, Belt Parkway, the Southern State to the Sacgticose(sp?) aaargh!!!🤪 Pantyhose sure beats the nylons and garter belts from the early '60's! Just sayin...😁

There is a list of suggested questions, as well as questions that our daughters have asked. For instance: What was your Dad like when you were growing up? When did you learn to ride a bike? How did you celebrate your 21st Birthday? etc. etc. Each time I finish writing on a topic, it gets sent to our 3 daughters, and from what I understand, it will be put into a book when finished. Since you enjoy writing, Lenny, this would be "right up your alley", as the saying goes.😊 I do enjoy writing these stories, when I do sit down to write them!😉

Jim and I each were given Storyworth as part of our Christmas gift from our daughters. I've written 5 or 6 of the suggested topics so far. I really need to get back to my writing. Happy 16th Anniversary wishes to your daughter and SIL. Praying for good news at the Cleveland Clinic for your daughter🙏🙏 Our daughters and grandsons are at the Lake today, They'll be coming back here afterwards to go in the pool in our backyard.

Beautiful homes, Jen. Both of them! Your first home is very similar to the home will lived in for 42 years, and where we raised our 3 daughters. We didn't have a wrap-around porch. Ours was in the entire front of the house. We sure do miss having a porch.
