  1. I would think sailing from NY City would be great… like the old days. You could easily take the subway to the dock, I would like that. That said, I don’t think Royal ever sails from the city. Royal is the only cruise with a Flowrider, so at this point don’t care where other ships sail from! 😂
  2. Exactly this. It is a wine pairing dinner with Chops menu. If you get with the wrong group it could be a 5 hour, mess. We did it one time on the Anthem out of NY City, and there was a family of 8 with the Godfather who was a boring attention hog, who drug the whole process out way way too long. We were two couples of the 16 and the wife’s left before the main courses were served, the men soldiered on until the end 5 hours in… the food was good, the wine was copious and the event was so bad, I wouldn’t do it again if they offered it to me for free. I know I am an outlier on this, but if you get the wrong table mates, it will or at least can be the worst dinner of your life. JMHO and YMMV jc
  3. We have done two side by sides on RCI cruises since, we were last told that we were too old to book an excursion of the exact same nature. My name here is XP… CDOO. SEADOO J me K DW…. I live on adventure sports, it is what I am. I waterski, I wake surf, I ride the FlowRider, I ride side by sides, I snow ski, I play golf, heck I only quit playing softball a few years ago. I get told I am too old to ride a side by side by RCI when it is no more adventurous than mowing the yard. Wow… Frustrating, I get it the lawyers run the world defending their client the insurance company, but good lord it sucks. jc
  4. I have flown Frontier a couple of times. They are a pretty good low frills airline. They don’t fly from my home airport so, I don’t think of them often. They were flying out of Branson airport (currently out of NW Arkansas (Bentonville)) and I used them for a flight to Denver, once you get there you can go pretty much wherever they go, and we flew on to Las Vegas. I like the planes, as they have animals on the tail. 😂 They are fine, better than Allegiant, because they might do a flight or two every day instead of 2 times a week. I have been getting alerts that they are selling unlimited flights this summer for $399.
  5. That might be better than the story of when I got mad at my wife in Italy for losing our passports, when I forgot I had put them in the secret compartment of my backpack almost 20 years ago. jc
  6. I can’t get this to play but now that I am quoting a picture is showing up. So, is this an edited 360 view or just a regular 180 view????
  7. Yes, sitting at my desk at work. My Apple Watch does it haptic thing, and I look down at my watch, and it says I have 30 minutes to go to my muster station and complete it. Good grief…. I wish I could comply! 😆
  8. Thanks I fixed it. How can inputting the same information already in a field fix something? Never underestimate RC’s IT departments ability…… jc
  9. Ha! I just posted a thread with basically the same question. It has been happening to me for a while jc
  10. When I go to my cruise planner and log in, it shows my future sailings, but it is showing this Crown & Anchor® Society #************* StatusPoints !Sorry, we’re unable to display your loyalty status and points right now. Please check back later. Instead of my Diamond Plus status and the points. It has been doing this for a while. Anyone else experiencing this? jc
  11. As others have said, if entertainment is a priority, the scheduled times will certainly give you a better oppurtunity to see every show. The schedules for most things are built around those times. I prefer MTD, but sometimes it makes it a challenge to work in things that are offered on the big ships that you can’t prebook. On the Jewel it probably doesn’t matter as much. JC
  12. Loved our two day visit to Alhambra while doing a land vacation in Spain. Problem for me is you are probably looking at 4 hours in a tour bus, and I hate those kind of excursions. That said it is an absolute bucket list tour. jc
  13. We did the balloon thing way back in 2006. We had a lot of fun. One couple did their own a few days later and they landed in a tree, and had a scare, but were ok. It was a beautiful place to do one. When we were last out there in 2018, I tried for almost 9 months to get into the FL. Insane. I am, actually glad we didn’t, because the DW would have crapped at the price. 😂 We had dinner one night at Torc in Napa, and I enjoyed it. Nothing spectacular but good. Had a magical breakfast at Olive and Hay when I ordered the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. They were so good, it is the only way my DW wants to have pancakes now. Yum. JC
  14. You could join your neighbors band, and be her personal doctor…. Would be a shock if she won’t need one someday! 😆
  15. I would recommend Ronda, as well, cool history of bull fighting and the town built on a cliff. JC
  16. Singapore is a long flight! We broke it up by spending a few days in Tokyo on the way. Only thing worse was our trip to New Zealand, where we first flew to Sydney then back to NZ, and our flight got delayed like 6 or 7 hours. That was not a fun couple of days. jc
  17. I can’t wait until next year, when I could reply to this post, and say something like…. Work is for losers! jc
  18. If I was at Mamma Mia tonight, I would start tearing up about a minute into the the overture before the play begins. I am such a romantic, but I tear up when I think Memories is starting during Cats too in the Overture…. Apparently, I am a mess. 😂 jc
