  1. There are refillable glass carafes of still and sparkling water in the frig. I ask that they both be still and left out to be room temperature. I find the rooms too warm (in constrast to the public rooms which are a comfortable, cooler temperature) so ask for a fan.
  2. I was on that cruise too. I forget whether it was with friends, Mom and Dad, or all of the above.
  3. On my two recent cruises, I found that my group for debark was called a good 15-20+ minutes earlier than the time given. Also, one currently has to vacate the staterooms by 8am and wait in a public area.
  4. Translation: ” With the "Riverside Mozart" the most exclusive river cruise ship on the Danube starts from April 2023 - under the flag of the Hamburg Seaside Hotel Collection Press release It combines space and time into a contemplative experience. It is the most luxurious river cruise ship on the Danube. And it knows how its important namesake to capture the audience. If you sit on the Vista deck of the "Riverside Mozart" in an intimate atmosphere with an Earl Grey or a fine, fresh Grüner Veltliner and let the lovely landscape of the Wachau pass by, you will not forget this moment. On the road as "Riverside Mozart" for the Riverside Collection of the Seaside Hotel Collection from Hamburg from April 2023: The former Crystal Mozart. (Archive photo), photo: enapress.com Before the outbreak of the corona pandemic, this ship was renovated by the US company Crystal Cruises in millions and named "Best of the best" by the renowned business magazine Forbes. Now it has been taken over by the Hamburg Seaside Hotel Collection. The first tours start between Linz and Budapest in April 2023. "River cruises offer much more possibilities for a luxury trip than the huge ships on the oceans. There are only 100 to 150 guests on board the Riverside Mozart, and the journey to the ship is short," says Gregor Gerlach, owner of the Seaside Hotel Collection with Anouchka Gerlach. For chartering the exclusive ship, the siblings have now founded the Riverside Collection brand. Luxury on board the "Riverside Mozart" means having space and having the choice. Space, because the ship with a width of 23 meters offers significantly more space for a total of 81 suites - while the cabins on ordinary river cruise ships measure an average of only 16 square meters, the smallest suite on the "Riverside Mozart" has 20 square meters, the largest 80! The choice because there are four different restaurants - with the ship's gliding through the different regions of the Danube, the creations of the kitchen team also change. Here you can have breakfast in the bistro, for example, have lunch in the Blue restaurant at the stern of the ship or a barbecue on the Vistadeck, where the chefs have also created a herb garden. The Waterside restaurant offers à la carte dinner. But don't worry: The "Riverside Mozart" does not have to leave guests like apricot dumplings after the trip. In addition to the special excursions to the most beautiful cities in Europe or to architectural treasures such as Melk Abbey or bike tours on land, sport on board is also possible. For example, during a walk or jogging on the circuit on Deck 3. Or when training in the professionally equipped fitness area. Or when swimming in the indoor pool - the counter-current system challenges maximum performance on request. Another sauna visit or a massage? On the "Riverside Mozart" there are two separate areas for men and women, both with Finnish sauna and steam bath. The "Riverside Mozart" employs a significantly larger crew, especially in service and in the kitchen - the flagship of the Seaside Collection has always been the flagship of the Seaside Collection. Every guest enjoys the luxury of a butler in their suite. In contrast to other river cruisers on the Danube, the "Riverside Mozart" can already be booked for a trip of four days. Perfect for couples or a group of friends who celebrate a birthday instead of a long holiday on a short trip, for example. There is also a special feature for this: The Vintage Room on board the ship is a magical space for exclusive dinners. Here, the chefs create a menu for which the wines selected by the chef sommelier set the tone. Yes, maybe life is really too short not to treat yourself to this pleasure.”
  5. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt pre-cruise. A local clinic offered tests in a room off the lobby 2x daily. No appointments needed. Your precruise hotel may as well.
  6. They do have Indochine dishes on the Atlantide menu during the closure.
  7. I used in the San Francisco Bay Area last month for the first time. Driver arrived early and was patiently parked out front when I looked. I prefer to stay overnight at the Grand Hyatt SFO before my flights so I don’t have to worry about transit delays. The hotel is on airport property so no issues there. I could not use coming home as my post cruise travel put my return date outside the permitted booking window. I had to take the credit instead.
  8. While I couldn’t find an included wine list, I did notice in the Arts Cafe a line up of open bottles. Good source of info.
  9. Friends on the Moon intransit Aug 8, said the expected test was not given.
  10. Thank you both. Is there a way then when looking at the price shown on the website to know what the cruise costs without all the peripherals?
  11. Well bummer. I don’t like DtD. Will certainly discourage me from booking.
  12. Beav, Nancy, thanks for the info and the clarification. Will look for him.
  13. Will you still be there? I board July 29 too as part of the Crystal Refugee ballroom dance group.
  14. If you go there again, please tell him I said hello.

  16. How does one book a transfer to the airport (port-to-port fare)? I see where they have 3 tours to the airport listed but my flight time doesn’t permit one of those. Where do I find just plain transfers?
  17. Tour guide recommendation: https://www.recommendedbalidriver.com/. Gede was excellent when 3 of us spent ~ 3 days with him when in Bali on a Crystal Cruise maybe 5 years ago.
  18. 15%-75% single supplement. They made a big point of saying they would never charge 200%. When I pointed out that it was not reasonable to expect one's TA to be available around the clock to calculate single supplements on six assorted Caribbean cruises they allowed as how they would make it easier to see as opposed to the (then at least) manual calculation. I haven't looked to see if they have done so yet.
  19. I just happened to be driving by so stopped in. The Richmond CA Grocery Outlet has both the Cab and the Chardonnay. There looked to be at least a couple of cases each.
  20. No, I didn't. But I did say I wasn't going to book because of it.
  21. I attended an online sales presentation last week. I asked if they would have dance hosts. The very disappointing response was NO.
  22. Friends on board QE now said the onboard shop had a sale the other day. They could buy alcohol and have it delivered to their room right away for consumption, not held for disembarkation.
