  1. No specific terminal. All depends on where the harbor master says to go. It can change multilple times before arrival. Not like some ports where the cruise line builds terminals or where they go every week like Miami Fort Lauderdale port canaveral etc.
  2. Since I have never had a credit vs debit for a foreign currency transaction can’t say for sure how it would work if I got the credit here in us just another reason to take your credit from seabourn in cash
  3. ?? If your home currency is not usd your card will be charged in usd and converted to your currency using the best exchange rate a credit will work the same way so your risk is changed exchange rate between purchase and credit so you have an equal risk in getting a little more or less the ship is usd so this is the only way this can wirk
  4. If you crave your credit card points/miles, take the credit in refundable OBC and make sure you don't overuse your non refundable and like others said go to the square and get cash in USD back. Then take it home deposit and pa your credit card bill. This way you get points/miles without an actual spend. Works every time.
  5. Need to be quick to accept as Regent will go down the list to find takers. Obviously overbooked and trying to find suites for guarantees. The offer will be gone if you don't respond quickly
  6. Unfortunately no matter what the ship, port or any app says, the docking location cannot be confirmed until the ship is approaching the port as harbor master has control and at time the port changes at the last minute which is why tour operators have to check in the AM where your ship will actually be ported.
  7. Really depends o the flight category. Cannot be sure especially with AA
  8. Nothing to get back. It goes on your account as pending and then disappears until a charge to you comes in and then it shows as a charge. Anyone so close to your credit limit who is sailing Seabourn has bigger problems than this relatively small hold.
  9. No only the people in suites needed for the guarantees get offers. The entire process is a regent secret but enough people have commented to enable many of us somewhat understand the process no guarsntee people are contacted. So far as far as reported the offers keep increasing such that enough suites are available for all guarantees some pretty huge offers have been reported pre Covid. Remember these are all educated guesses based on CC posts. Have never seen a post that a guarantee didn’t get on board but remember many people not on CC or choose not to pist
  10. I described it above in post 28. Does not affect guarantees and people shop are confirmed can save thousands on similar but different cruises. Offers to booked people keep increasing until enough confirmed people accept. Kind of a game of chicken.
  11. Don't know what a second lower guarantee is. Perhaps a guarantee where you put down a deposit so the second lower would be no deposit. Please explain No need to worry as Regent will make offers to people with reservations and keep sweetening the offers until they have enough suites for all of the guarantees. Have never heard of guarantees getting a buy out offer.
  12. And, the time provided is virtually useless board when you choose. They won't turn you away!!!
  13. Believe this app is only Android or Apple to be on phones/ipads not on your computer.
  14. The $175 deviation fee is for one way or round trip. Certainly hope you deviated on the flights to Barcelona. Extremely dangerous to arrive on the day the ship is departing for many reasons the greatest risk is that you would have to pay all expensive for getting to the ship at another port. Just because you took Regent air Regent will for sure tae care of getting you to the ship. This has happened however T's and C's clearly state that Regent is not responsible for third party companies and this includes air no matter if they wee booked by Regent or not. Hoping you are concierge or above and you have the pre cruise nite included so you are flying a day early. If not you can change the flight to BCN however it will cost you another $175 PP for this second deviation. Good luck,
  15. Not just LHR or BA and not for landing but for departures. It is all airlines and flights from the UK FOR departures from all UK airports and depends on class of service snd flight distance
  16. A well kept Regent secret that varies from contract to contract with the airlines.
  17. Regent will book you on most any flight, the issue is what the upcharge would be if you deviate and request the Iberia flight. As to a chance you would get a super long layover, first that depends on what you define a super long layover layover is. As to what Regent considers a reasonable layover times is; anytime between minimum connection time to what is a legal connection and that is probably longer than you want. Only way to find out is to deviate and pay the non talk to the air desk.
  18. It is not a case of booing Regent Air, Regent Air is automatically included unless you have it removed and credited to you. Using Regent Air, the Heathrow taxes are included in the included air so no cost to you. As far as your TA working the air for you, that is a matter of if your TA will do it. Regent will work with you or your TA for the same cost. Much better if you work direct with Regent air as if your TA has to phone you before booking your air that is another $75 cost to talk to the air desk. Air desk costs are charged to you for your or TA contacting Regent air. By the way booking air while booking the cruise will not save you anything. Separate departments and you have to have the booking of the cruise before booking the air.
  19. And just what do you think Regent or any cruise line for that matter should or could do with a foreign government to get your visa issued this is extremely important and sad but appears Brazil is simply reacting to something the US did and there is no company in the entire world that could help those of you not able to get your visas issued.
  20. First of all you need a consulate or perhaps an embassy will work as well. Believe the only embassy is DC but, many consulates around the US. About 10 years ago we needed a Brazil visa for a world cruise. Luckily we have a consulate here in Houston. Filled out the forms, went in and in less than an hour we had the visas in our passports. Hopefully you can get a true visa at a local consulate rather than the impossible evisa more easily
  21. We were on a cruise that ended with the Beijing excursion included and it was a COMPLETE disaster that Regent failed to acknowledge in fact claimed in writing to a credit card dispute that it was "free" so no compensation at all. Believe we all know the correct term is included thus we did pay as part of the cruise fare. This experience was truly memorable as well after spending about 10 hours on a bus going nowhere.
  22. Ships dock on both sides so no guarantee you will see water when in ports and same when not docked. Main reason for port or starboard suites is for where sun will be when at sea. Even when cruising of shore generally far enough off shore that you won't see land if that is what you want.
  23. Absolutely no way to predict any possible delays in advance. Likely you will get on fairly quickly but, anything can happen to delay your boarding
  24. It all depends on the cruise. No set time covers all cruises. Each cruise has unique timings.
  25. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jones Act. Jones Act does not include passenger ships. That is the PVSA Passenger Vehicle Services Act. And even if it did has nothing to do with cs or kayaks
